literally one of my favorite soulslike, together with ds1, ds2, and bloodborne, this game was already great i don't get why people don't like it as much, and now with all these updates, i think it's time to finish it one more time, oh and my character looks amazingly beautiful so you can definetely make beautiful characters in this game
The Special Attacks being faster and therefore usable is fantastic. The stamina regeneration being increased is great too. Things are improving rapidly for this game. I enjoy!
I played a LOT of this game before all of those updates, then quite a bit with the updates and I don't know about the things you mentioned as issues. I didn't encounter any of that and in all my time playing I never noticed what you said about the direction of your dodges because I always just dodged where I needed to? The enemies are actually pretty easy to stagger and abuse after a bit of playing. I don't know how my experience can be so much different.
i just finished playing this and holy fuck the level design is atrocious and the bosses are legit mobs, the hardest boss was the overgrown baby and thats because i thought the lava was going to disappear and i was supposed to heal through. With a full radiance build bosses would die in literal seconds. wtf was that bro?
@@veiregor yeah i mean some people like it... others not so much xb there are some pretty weird decisions in this game and some pretty trash bosses too, the axe guy with the wolves is also not fun..
That´s crazy I went back to it just yesterday as well, beat Pieta and it's growing on me now. Roll distance is still insane to me but the game feels better overall
I just started playing this game but for me,its amazing because it kinda suits my preferences. Played a bit of Elden Ring,Mortal Shell also and this seems like a combo of both. Regarding the stamina when fighting mamy enemies,idk...i just dual weild and it helps alot. Also staggering: i guess thats why they put wither status on weapons and consumables maybe? A small p.s: BucketHead has a quest ,thats why you can interact with him now.
@ruikiri yes,a quest haha. You have to equip his bucket, unequip all clothes and do the Bucketworshiper emote (or thats what its called lol) and then you get to talk with him.The emote can be found before the Vestige of Chabui i think, its under some breakable stuff, just hug the right hand side before fighting the enemies outside the vestige.
always liked this game, even before all the patches, but i also like hellpoint so i might just have bad taste lol. im just waiting for the next bleak faith update now
@@Destrieeplayz maybe you do but im not one to judge, there are some shitty old games out there i still enjoy today xb i too have been waiting on BF, but i dont even know if they are working on anything.. fhe game as a while feels complete and more bug fixing is always appreciated but id like to have something new to do.. a new area, new boss.. something
I'm happy to see players that love this game because I remember it coming out and not reviewing well, plus it was being overshadowed by Elden Ring and Lies of P. It ended up being one of my favorite Souls games even if they're nodding to their souls' inspirations there are enough gameplay mechanics that make it unique, and the art design is metal as all hell. 40 hours in, 60% off Steam with DLC content included, never been happier. Form your own opinions.
DSR probably the most clunky souls compared to other DS (including ER), yet somehow it still really fun to play. OTOH this game after all that long list of bugfixes and patches, gameplay wise still felt way worse than DSR.
as an avid souls player who has been there since the first demons souls. I unfortunately have never known the feeling you have with the heavy weapons and stagger stuff. I always just shield/sworded every game and had a miserable time doing it. Would do it again probably. On another note. This looks sorta decent so I miiight snatch it from a sale. I didnt really like elden ring and lies of P put me to sleep for some reason so maybe this game magically strikes that perfect balance between things where I can stay interested and not frustrated?
@@vrapbrapi didnt like lies of p too much, it says its a soulslike but its basically sekiro, i have nothing against any game but that type of gameplay just isnt what im after. The insane thing is people compare this game with d3 and elden ring you do realize you comper it with games that have long history in this field I don't say it's perfect but the doing good job on fixing it the game is pretty good
LOTF is one of my favorite soulslike games.. I played this & Lies of P back to back.. i ended up finishing both around the same time.. Lies of P definitely feels more polished but LOTF scratched that Souls itch for me as well.. the devs did a great job supporting this game.
Yo same! I started with LOTF then fell in love with souls likes. Then played Lies of P then elden ring then dark souls trilogy. This game started it all for me. Love everything about it. The bosses were dope and sick, the weapons, the aesthetic. One thing I really look for in a souls like is that dark, fantasy style with knights and swords and dragons. Thats why I love dark souls.
@shiestyworld218 yeah! 👍 The dark gothic metal setting is so good plus it's running on unreal engine 5 is glorious imo. Dark souls 3 was my first game and I never looked back! I can't get enough of souls or soulslike games now haha 😆. very awesome 💯 🤝

I hate how all the weapons in a given category have the same moveset.

So clunky and slow. Play lies of P if you want a GOOD souls-like
It's NOT this dogshit
the issue isnt that its slow, its that everything feels like its played at 2x speed making everything look cheap and low budget
