Let me guess. You, who's watching this video, are a senior Kpop fan right? Yet, can you distinguish the two terms “only fan” and “akgae fan”?
Probably many of you have heard about "only fan", but what about "akgae fan"?
In fact, akgae fan has long been a huge issue in the K-community, some even describe this type of fans as "the apocalypse of Kpop" due to a lot of catastrophic consequences they caused to both the fandoms and the idols.
So, in today's video, let's dig a bit deeper into who akgae fans are and why they might destroy the Kpop world if no prevention is taken.

Why tf is that fandom THIS intense. I’m from America and just dabble in and enjoy k-pop. But after reading so many things about this whole other crazy side of k-pop, it makes me want to get these idols out of there or into another pop industry.

I'm multi stan and I've seen MANY toxic solo stans. They're not only harmful to the group but also to the fandom.

If I try to explain it's that personally I was introduced to lisa thru her dance in sbs gayo 2016 with other main dancers i knew 0 sht bout kpop but I kinda loved the way she danced so I fell in love her then stalked her thru social media then found out kpop, blackpink and whole another world and the other girls didn't attract me so I respect them but not in to them
If you don't then you're not stanning the group, you're a solo stan which is fine as long as you don't hate on others
When I stan a group, I can't stan only one or few members in it, I must stan all members. For me, stan only one member in group is impossible
for me, I don't like GOT7 that much (they just aren't my style, I don't have any problem with them) but I really like Jackson. not in GOT7 but his solo work. but I'm an ARMY and OT7, I wouldn't call myself an ARMY if I wouldn't like all of them.

I think it's ok to stan an idol who has a very prominent solo career like Jackson or Taemin or Lay but sometimes people stan an idol who only active as a member of a group. And this is then things might go wrong. As nctzen, I cannot imagine how someone can stan only one member when we have 23 of them and a big chunk of them don't have solo activities.
I start to follow one member if imm new to one group and after some time I start to follow all the members

BLINKS as a fandom doesn't exist anymore. 90% are divided into 4 sections ( solo stans ) I witnessed by myself when Blackpink was in Germany . You won't believe what those brainless fans are talking about their favourites and those who they hate , it's just mind-blowing.

@Starr C oh please, BTS has more Armys than solo Stans. Bts' concert is the only concert where u can hear equal cheers for every members. And the cheers depends up on the situation. Sometimes the alleged least popular member hobi will get the most cheers. Only his name was chanted so loudly in Wembley stadium during his performance of Just dance. So no. Solo Stans exists in bts fandom, but it is not to the extent that it can overpower Armys.

I personally don't think supporting only one member is a problem. It's everyone personal choice whom they wanna stan. Maybe she/he's only person attracted them and rest didn't. So that's not the problem. But the problem is when they start to insult and hate the other members. Wanting the best for your idol is totally fine but for that you shouldn't harm anyone else. Respect the other members and follow you own fav, that's it.

Even I have a bias in BTS but that doesn't mean I always see him as better than other members . They all are best in their own ways and I don't have enough words to appreciate them . In my opinion , being a solo stan is okay as long as that fan doesn't disrespect any other member of a group . I think even if someone is a solo stan , she/he should take sometimes to appreciate other members too . It’s stupid. A group/band is all the members and not one specific member in the group. They’re not real fans and spend too much time thinking how to harm other members of the group. Idols are perfect the way they are and they don't have to change anything about themselves to please those disrespectful and mean Akgae's . I'm a multistan so I follow and love many groups and it's normal to have that one member you like a little bit more which is your bias . But Akgae's are just despicable , onlyfans are still very respectful and care about the other members in a group .
I must admit upon first getting into blackpink I had a somewhat tainted view of Jennie due to all the yg princess, 'lazy' scandals, etc etc, I was never an anti to her or anything but I followed everyone but her on stuff like insta. She won me over eventually because she's talented, smart, funny, cute, and literally public enemy number 1 for not a single valid reason. I bring this up because akgaes can distort opinions of non fans or potential fans.

Aaah I just experienced an akgae fan of Hwasa yesterday, although they didn't said anything bad about other members, but they seem to highly despise ot4 moos. It's really depressing to deal with them😔.
When the red velvet incident was mentioned i immidiately(?) thought abt that one time when fans from wayv pushed yangyang and ten even fell.... i also think there was one time with nct in general where some fans pushed some of the members aside

Lisa is my ultimate bias since 2018 when I watched her rap in Boombayah and made me love kpop but as I watch them and get to know the Pinks I learned to love them all. Then I learned that company is a thing in Korea so I watched old videos of thier label mates and love all of them Bigbang, 2ine1, Winner, Ikon, and One. Then I also get to know BTS (honestly because of watching ship videos between JK and LS) and instanly love them since thier music is my style too. When I saw them close to RV, Bambam, and Ten I also loved them all. Then when Lisa became dance mentor, I watched that show since day one and loved Cai Xukun, Ella and The9. I even learned to love her bangs, her cats Leo, Luca, Lily, Louis and Lego. I even buy items from the brands bp endorsed. Right now I am stanning all of the trainees that will collaborate with her specially XingXing. I even downloaded IQYI. Seriously what is happening to me?!!! This might be the effect of pandemic to me?

In my earlier days of being a blink, I would see so much negative content about Jennie that it had a lasting effect on me, making me upset whenever Jennie got screen time (because people were/are saying that she's "YG's Princess" and that she was doing it herself). I've been able to move past that and accept her, because she really is a talented girl and I love her

If you like a group you better love all of them you can have a bias but love the rest of the members equally or else u can't call yourself as a fan.
I solo stan some groups but only for groups I’m not really following closely. It’s just the member that caught my eye at the time. But when a group catches my eye I learn all the members even if I have a bias. When there is toxic stan people they really pushes me away from wanting to be in the fandom. When BTS and Blackpink started gaining popularity quickly and the fandoms started becoming toxic I started to pull away from the fandom. I still love the groups and watch their MV and performances and buy music I just don’t participate in the fandoms anymore.
Exactly how People made up bullying rumours about Hyunjin and then he went on hiatus for a long time but he back now and stays are very happy.
"Blink" the most fragememted fandom with tons of ot3 ot2 solo stans only fans... Seriously at this point they r only using this blink word for their own benefits and to disgrace other members..

Yes these type of fans are the reason I’m not as invested into kpop as I once was. I’m not apart of any fandom I just occasionally enjoy the music.
Moomoos what I have realized now a days that our fandom has a huge influx of only fans because all members are focusing on solo activities that's why you see Moonbyul and Wheein's activities getting slept on , and a noticable no. of akgae fans have entered now who are harassing ot4 fans especially from Hwasa's fandom . I just experienced it yesterday 😔. Also there are people who are ot3 and exclude Hwasa so moomoos have to fight with them too. It's become a mess😩.

Solo stans are fans who only support one member but doesn't spread any hate towards the other members. Akgae fans are "fans" who only support one member and acts maliciously towards the rest of the group. Solo stans are not Akgaes.

i think that people often forget about the fact that there is a difference between akgae and only/solo stans. i myself also appear to only stan one or two members of a group sometimes, usually simply because i dont vibe with the other members, but i still respect them and watch content they bring out or listen to their music.
I think that you don't have to like all the members in a group. It's kind of like going into a new class at school for example. You just wont vibe with everyone and you don't have to but you do have to respect everyone and treat them well.
Being a solo stan isn’t bad because you don’t publicly hate on the other members however being an akgae means you stan a member and constantly hate on the other members in the group

I just can't believe how you can only stan one person from a group, before liking kpop I loved Little Mix (still do) and can't imagine only stanning one, when all of them work so hard and are so talented.
If you have a bias that ok but you can still love all members and if you can then you are not a part of their fandom .
It's okay to be dedicated to one person in a group but that doesn't give you any position to degrade others members of the group... I am an ARMY and it's true my first priority is Taehyung... but still it's not that toxic that I will say bad things or ignore others in the group.. I simply say I connect more with how tae tae is... That's it... But I love others also... At the end I am a wholesome BTS fan ❤️❤️❤️
To be honest I Stan a group and just as any other fan I always hope for them to get closer and closer to number 1
But looking around I kinda see these kpop groups who are closer to no.1 than my favourite group and are very talented getting hate and going down I am slightly scared about hoping for them (My favourite group) as they are getting closer

I am an ARMY and I used to have a bias, but not anymore because like stated in this video, I feel like it made me like one member more than another. Now, that I don't have a bias or a bias wrecker, I like all the members of BTS and am able to see how talented they individually are! I do agree that it's unfair to always praise one specific member over the others who are equally as talented. If you are a true fan, you will like all the members or at least try to find something interesting about them individually. 💜

One shouldn't call themselves a stan if they aren't going to support the whole group. I'm an ARMY, moa and engene but there are some members in other groups I like, but I won't introduce myself as a stan of others because I'm just a casual listener or just like few members of the group.
for us onces they are many toxic ones who actually are bullying jeongyeon and saying that she faked anxiety just to eat(which is fatphobic and ableist) and there is an entire community of dedicated akgae fans who would drag twice to support their idol (usually tzuyu or sana stan..) they give us a bad name so please if you see this behavior report it it isnt an accurate or right representation of the once fandom

All of the groups I like I dont have a member that I dont like. I do think some arent talented but I have no hate for them. I think theyre lucky that they still found a way to make it.
