Can you imagine 100 years from now her grandkids saying, "My grandmother designed and printed this wallpaper by hand." What a treasure!
You guys are so funny with your creative take on filming your videos. The “skits” are hilarious from the perspective of husband and wife.
I love it too!
Me three 🤣
I found this fascinating! Phillip is the comic relief he deserves his waste pipe video. :)
🤣😂 I agree!
I was actually getting into the whole UK vs France waste pipe presentation :)
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot my account password. I love any assistance you can give me
@Blaine Niko instablaster =)
Philip: "I'm determined to make my wife laugh or leave me."
This channel is everything.
Anna has a ‘dead pan’ look on her face.... Your humour is very international.....
All the best with your Paetron account. You deserve all the support.
Anna, the wallpaper demonstration was excellent - clear, step-by-step instructions. Thank-you. And the outcome, beautiful. I believe having wallpaper workshops is a great idea. You have good taste in design. And Philip, with the embedded waste pipe segments - well I had to laugh. You are a great team. As always, I enjoy your vlogs 🌳

The linoleum stamp to make the wallpaper idea was just magical. I have done it on a much smaller scale for jewelry making with polymer clay and I too cut myself. I absolutely love how your wallpaper turned out, I would purchase that design for myself if I could, it has a “William Morris” feel to it yet it’s still modern enough for 2021-22, just lovely, you’re so talented.
I agreeeeee
That was sooo interesting. Hope you get paid bundles for that labor intensive art work. Philip, would love to clone your personality and spread it around the world; would be a much happier place!
I agree!
Such an enormous job you've done, but the result is totally worth it! Just amazing! I admire your persistence, Anna 🙌
Com'on, is there anyone here who does not have a crush on one of these two? They are both simply delightful.
AGREE!...along with understated taste, ie some like the fluffy duck or gay parade taste...
but these two have bags of class...carry on we love what your doing
The fact that 13% of people wanted to see a waste pipe tutorial is funny
😂 because of the practical reasons I guess. They still need to do it in their castles, houses, chateaus, farms, bungalows...
@@m.m.6670hopefully it would be we who are stuck and not the pipes LOL
Anything for Philipp!
We are more likely to fix a waste pipe then make our own wallpaper❤️🇬🇧
It's honestly a pain to install one of those 😭 I should know I spent 3 days trying to do so and would constantly get leakages
wow its fascinating to watch you create the wallpaper design. Also HILARIOUS how Philip tries to get in there to show off his waste pipe! haha
Anna , you are comming into your own at this stage of the renovation. Your experience and education are the rails for your talent and the chateau is the perfect canvas to showcase yourself !
Phillip is funny! Makes me laugh every-time!
Anna, I can’t wait to see you at work teaching us about your wallpaper. I still think you should put it into production. It’s fantastic!
Oh my God. My entire life Ive wondered how they make a pattern repeat itself and connect at all the right places, on fabric. You made it appear so simple.
Oh wow. You blew my mind just with the simple repeat technique, I can’t imagine how to figure out the more complex ones!

Respect for what you‘ve done to the green room. Love that perfect imperfections!
Hi Anna, I am a fan of Stephanies's (Chateau Diaries) and Michael Petherick's (Doing It Ourselves) and Michael mentioned you made your own wallpaper so I immediately went to watch your video. Thank you so much for explaining how to do the repeat pattern. I am an aspiring textile designer and was struggling with getting my designs to line up. By watching your video it has helped me so much. Thank you. And your wallpaper came out beautifully!
Oh this takes me back to my school days where I learnt how to do Lino printing. I loved it! 💕 We printed on paper first, then fabric & I made a skirt. How I wish I’d kept it! Id love to try this again :)
Hope Philipp gets to do his tutorial & it’s not just a ‘pipe dream’ 😆
Just love your channel you two, thank you ❤️🌷
I can make repeats on Illustrator but never would have been able to explain how to do it manually. You make it look so simple!
Anna has it thick behind her ears. She is a box of fine chocolate, and Phillip has the key. Obviously, the language between them says it all. Darn, cute.
Anna, you are so talented. Totally enjoyed this video. And what can I say about Philippe...such as funny and special person. You are a fantastic duo!!!
This chateau is one of my favorites as the outbuildings look similar to the Chateau.. I have not seen this feature in many..They have beautiful style as well.
Your wallpaper is gorgeous. Thank you for showing your process, and how the handmade imperfections are beautiful. My husband, with his engineering brain, will enjoy seeing how you created this. He would also like the drain pipe info. 😆 Yesterday he was telling me all about the inner workings of our vacumn cleaner. 😏
I am in awe of your talent & commitment to the wallpaper. If it were me, I would've gotten 1/100 of the carving complete, throw my hands up in the air, declare "this is for the birds" and then proceed to happily overpay for designer wallpaper. You are brilliant!!! Love the vlog!
Thank you for this! My first job when I was seventeen, was working in a textile design studio in the garment center in NYC. I could not ever understand the repeat. Fifty years later, you unlock the magic. I imagine I could have researched it, but I just always thought it would reveal itself to me. What a great process! I love your videos and your spousal humor!
Well, that was fun to watch. I now am adding wallpaper to my ideas for my house BUT the lino cutting part of this project - I could end up in the emergency room at the local hospital. That has to be the 'key' to getting a map for the paper. Mind boggling - you are so talented Anna, and patient. So are you Phillip, that pipe blowing was something else!
That’s amazing how you do the repeat pattern! Who ever figures out these techniques?!?! Thank you for sharing this with us. Absolutely fascinating. My mind is still blown!
I have spent hours working on repeat patterns for graphic design (books, advertising, etc.) I never had any training in this and now I am very excited by you brilliantly simple technique. The last time I really wanted to do repeat patterns was in high school art class (age 16, 1969) when we were learning to do silk screen printing. I did a three colour design for fabric and my teacher was sceptical but encouraging. (She hadn't anticipated anyone wanting to do repeat pattern). It worked reasonably well and I got a good mark for the project but never tried it again until, in my late middle age, a client asked for a design involving a repeat pattern. (imagine excited panic). It worked to the clients satisfaction but not mine because it took far too much time and I did not feel comfortable charging the client for my learning curve.
Thank you so much.
Oh, I want to come to the chateau for a wallpaper design workshop! How talented you are, Anna and how wonderful you and Phillip work together. I've done small lino block printing for stationery projects, but to be able to design, execute, AND hang wallpaper is a treasure ... and just the two of you. The sophisticated decor of your Chateau is refreshing and elegant, no heavy-handedness there. Thank you!
Fascinating process. I remember doing this technique in school for an art project but didn't know the same concept makes wallpaper but it makes total sense now👍. The room looks so restful. Philip needs to do a public service announcement about not putting baby wipes in the toilet😁
The wallpaper beautiful I‘m literally obsessed. I can't believe you did all the room by yourself.
This was amazing... Anna you are so very talented! No doubt you and Phillip’s Chateau will be extraordinary! Seriously there is nothing on the television remotely close to what you’re doing! I’m literally craving more episodes! The two of you are so charming, and attention to detail and taste is exquisite!
Hello Anna. The wallpaper looked absolutely amazing; you are a very talented young lady with tremendous patience and attention to detail.
You have both completed an extraordinary amount of work in less than two years, and the results are truly beautiful.
I became aware of yourselves after Stephanie's visit; you all seemed to get on very well which is great to see.
Thank you also to Philip, his sense of humour works really well in the vlogs. Please keep up the good work.
I have now subscribed.
I dare say, Anna, your tutorial is not only fun and interesting, also very instructive. Thank you, very inspiring!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I know my limitations: I'll NEVER try to do something as beautiful and tidious like this! All the "adjustments", lining it up perfect, repeat repeat repeat! Omg!
I'd make such a mess of it !!! 😞
@@bellaluna321 I would probably end up setting the chateau on fire while doing this... don't ask me how.
Me too, that's why I love watching Anna do it, it's marvelous! I just don't have a creative bone in my body so I would buy wallpaper and someone to hang it. All respect to these creative & funny people!
Love it!! I was trained as a textile designer & adore interior design but it never occurred to me to do my own wallpapers. So brilliant. Love your style & the humour you both have. Well done you
That was amazing Anna. I can just imagine you going to places to have work shops in teaching this authentic wall paper design. It's time consuming, but so rewarding. Great job.
Or having them commercially reproduced?
Marvellous...we absolutely loved this! You know, we wanted it to go on, to see close-ups of the paint texture. What an amazing talented lady you are! You can repeat your workshops any time, we will be fixed to the screen.👏👏👏👏
Interesting video, Philip is the star of the show. He really deserves his pipe video.
awesome job. Your talents shine through and I imagine this takes a lot more patience than you exhibit.
Stunning Anna! As an interior designer and artist, I really want to try this now. Thank you for this amusing tutorial!
Completely blown away, what a wonderful informative vlog. Learned the baby wipe rule after blocking my own toilet some years ago. Thanxx
The work you have done by yourselves, with the passion you have lavished, it's just breathtaking. I wish you so many guests!
You two are adorable and have come up with such a perfect combination of inspiration, information and entertainment. I am loving your series!
Exquisite! The hallmark of a master is to make it seem so simple. Decades of honing your skills. Anna and Philipp, thank you for taking us along on your restauration adventure. You are creating wonderful, elegant rooms.
Philip is so entertaining! The chemistry is right between the two and they could easily have a tv show
You´re verry tallented . I adore the mixture of classical and contemporary you make in your rooms. well done!
(Moira Ashton) You are so talented, the wallpaper is beautiful, Phillip does make me laugh... I do hope he gets a look in with his pipes one day,, 🥰😅😅💕💗
I had no idea that one could make their own wall paper. Very interesting and gives me so many ideas. I could make panels or smaller areas instead of a whole wall. Your room is beautiful and restfull.
Okay, you made that look so easy, and can I say, you and your husband are sooo sweet together!!! Job beautifully done!!!!
Want to see the waste pipe tutorial please.
Started off thinking that wow, I can make my own wallpaper. Concluded that I will buy it.
Absolutely amazing. I have no clue what she was talking about, or how she did it. I listened and watched, and I still could not comprehend her artistic BRILLIANCE.I equate it to me trying solve the Rubik's Cube. No matter how many times I try to figure it out, it is not ever going to happen. She is a genius, I am a dunce in certain areas. :-) This is a great channel. Philip is FUNNY.
Anna you are extremely talented. And Phillip you always make me laugh. You two are the best! Thank you. You are a treat to watch.
Watching Anna was tremendous fun. I am not artistic enough to do any of this, but enjoy observing others who are. Oh, and that green paint, gorgeous!
Mind blown! I always wondered how people accomplished this before computers! Thanks for sharing!!!
Anna that was such a great lesson. The wallpaper is beautiful! Thank you! Philip’s waste pipe tutorial was good too!
OMG 😱 WHAT A LESSON! I am stunned how incredible this video was. Amazing job Anna and of course Philip with all the pipes too. 🤣🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏
The wallpaper is as beautiful as it is laboursome 😍
Like a beautifully engineered silk print blouse. Prints that are a hodgepodge drive me crazy so I generally buy nicely engineered pieces or just go for solids or different textures. Love how she used the brushed paint to give it an aged look. I spent years renovating a very old 4 story home and loved the process - even when all the disconnected toilets were placed in he middle of my work in progress bedroom suite. I had a toilet in one floor, a sink on another and a usable bath on another. It ended up absolutely perfect for me and my family. I now live in a studio apt in NYC which requires very little but I do miss he house that I bought in my 20s and lived in for decades. I think this chateau is perfect for them. I look forward to their vlogs. Their home is wonderful.
Thank you Izzy!
I just loved the segment from start to finish the beautiful design in the green room. Such a great idea.
Love these vlogs. They are always interesting yet fun. Even the title of their channel is humorous. Both Phillip and Anna are so talented and the chateau is just stunning.
This was amazing. I never before saw anyone print wallpaper. I would like to know more about carving the stamps.
Amazing how you created the wallpaper! Phillip does make me chuckle with laughter with his little ‘extra’ bits. I think we should let him have his day with the waste pipes 😂😂
Your wallpaper is very beautiful and I'm so glad you showed us how you made it. This is such an enjoyable channel.
I love the fact that every time the video drifts into just being a straight tutorial, you break in with something funny and charming. So much more interesting and unique. ❤️
New subscriber here. I loved watching the tutorial on creating original wallpaper, but I would want to press the lino template directly on the wall like a stamp. It would probably look distressed or aged but that would fit my abstract style perfectly. Thanks for the idea! I'll be renovating my bathroom this Spring.
Philip and Nathan's personalities make me laugh all the time
You both are adorable together! And, yes, I did learn something about fitting waste pipes together! You are so talented. Thank you for sharing. Mary
I majored in textiles back in the early 1970s. This brings back memories. Repeats can be tricky to learn. Now, I'm going to have to try this myself!
Anna, you have such patience and you are so talented. I'm in Canada, but I wish I could see your chateau. What a lot of work, but you are always smiling and positive. Loved this demonstration. I had no idea you could do something like this.
What a charming mix the two of you are! Phillip added just the right touch of delightful humor to your excellent demonstration. 💗
Holy. Smokes. This process for printing wall paper takes FOREVER!! I’m so impressed.
I am enthralled! I think I watched this 3 times in a row.
Anna, thank you so much for the tutorial! It was fantastic but my gosh that is a lot of work. I am really enjoying your channel. Now, please give Phillip his turn and let him show us how to connect the waste pipe to the sewer system ;)
That was fascinating... and wonderfully comprehensive. I remember doing lino prints in art class but I had not considered it as a method for creating wallpaper. Thank you for sharing.
This is fascinating. I would love to see more videos like this that focus on one project.
I love this video, especially as an artist who hasn’t been practicing art regularly since graduating from art school (5 years ago) it is making me want to go and create something new 🤍
Fascinating video about wallpaper. And I am glad you are using new wallpaper. It freaks me out that they used arsenic to paint wallpaper through the 1800s which means that any old residence with wallpaper from that era could poison you - through time.
Very interesting. 🤩Thank you for sharing your technique. You make it look less complicated than I’m sure it is. Love Philipp’s humor. 😁
Brilliant and very amusing as well, I look forward to the next episode
Well my mind is blown! Wow, thank you for showing this process!
You guys are adorable and so talented. I have to admit I got a little overwhelmed when we went from computer to lino so quickly. But it sure is amazing to watch you work and so special that you created an entire room around this design.
You two make me laugh. Your wallpaper is gorgeous. The process is just an amazing art. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Anna for this very informative and excellent lesson on how to make a wallpaper...I really enjoyed it. Thank you Philip for your bits of info too....you are an amazing team!!! Blessings from Canada, xo
Gosh I loved that, I fancy having ago at lino printing. Poor Philip and his pipe work 😂 maybe next time Philip xxx
THIS'S ONE OF THE MOST FINEST VIDEO I'VE EVER WATCH ABOUT MAKING A WALLPAPERS!! EASY & STRAIGHT TO THE POINT.
That was truly inspirational! Since lockdown I have gone wallpaper mad looking and reading about the art and history of wallpaper and I must say your pattern is truly lovely. I can see you with your own brand one day and I look forward to your workshops on the subject.
Really enjoyed your printing Anna. Such talent! And Phillip, comic timing. Brilliant!
Thank you for this tutorial. I have a university degree in printmaking and repeat patterns were never explained! I've never understood how to create them but have been printing on fabric and have wanted to understand so I could print an overall design. I did, however, also enjoy the waste pipe info that Phillip imparted! I would watch a waste pipe tutorial! LOL. Thank you again Anna for showing us how this is done.
You are so talented Anna! You have such a wonderful playful relationship with Philip and the love you share shows in each Vlog. I can't wait for your next posting... Hugs from Vancouver Island Canada
Thank you for this Anna. I will be doing this in our 1950s beach bungalow.
That was amazing! Who knew plumbing could be so fascinating... and the wallpaper was nice, too!
Seriously, the time and effort for the wallpaper was mind-boggling! I loved watching the whole process. I'm putting this on my "repeat" list to watch again.
You are such a cute couple and make a fantastic team.
Loved this video it was fascinating seeing the process you used to design and produce your paper, you should feel so much pride and satisfaction when you go into the green room, it’s fabulous. Thanks for showing us, maybe Phillip could make pipework as interesting ! It would at least be amusing. Can’t wait to see the next wallpaper you come up with
I'd never seen the green room before as I'm quite new to the channel and it literally took my breath away. And I love the slight imperfections on the wallpaper as well, they suit the style of the chateau so, so perfectly!
Love the wall paper and the colours. So relaxing. Perfect for a bedroom.
This is absolutely fascinating! I have learned something new today. Thank-you Anna! Philippe is hilarious and you have obviously a wonderful chemistry between the two of you. Yes, you are a GREAT team!!! Best of luck and success!!!
WOW! That was an amazing tutorial on you wallpaper. I never could have imagined the process. You two are such a joy to watch. Thank you!
I loved this so much. I would love to learn more from your process from your design career.
The wallpaper is so beautiful. I can hardly wait to see what you do next. Phillip is delightful as well.
