@@thomasa.7759 While I recognize the levity and appreciate the humor in your comment, and recognized the partial sarcasm in my remark, in all seriousness it seems that there needs to be some actual guidelines for such circumstances. @@GeroLubovnik the bottom line is this: if the drone photos/videos that you create are utilized in ANY way that could be considered to be "furthering a business" then you need an FAA Part 107 license. Thank you Alex for this info. This was a very informative video. I am very new to drones but I am fascinated with it. For me I'm not looking to become rich or anything, I just think it would be a fun hobby and perhaps it will grow into something more. Since I'm starting out, I am limited on funds so I could only afford a lower costing drone, a Holy Stone HS720E. I'm hoping since it has 4k quality video and pictures, that I can still produce some good content. I'm hoping I can maybe some how produce some funds and get a higher quality drone. With this said, is it possible to create good content with the current drone I have. I'm very new to photography and videos so I feel like I have much to learn still. Any advice would be great. Thanks a bunch! Brandon

Glad you're making videos again I always liked yours a few years ago. Would love to hear more about your thoughts on there being a billion pAsIoNaTe videographers these days. Best bet to work in-house or freelancing still do able?

Awesome information I'm a photographer and also set up facebook pages one of those pages happens to be Amazing Sunrise and Sunset Photography with quite a following and I also have a group for sunset and sunrise photos. I realized the value of these pages while living in Tucson and capturing the amazing sunrise and sunset shots there is a lot of truth in this video it is very important to be the guy or gal people recognize in town because they do keep you in the back of thier mind. I shot a lot of photos for farmers market vendors in Tucson every weekend and worked at a lot of the local events in town, and was contacted by many publishers for cover photos and articles because I had that recognition. I have just purchased my first drone and excited to add this type of work to my portfolio. One thing you made me realize was I wasn't adding my website to the photos just my watermark and added my website in the description. I now believe this was a critical error and will start doing it moving forward. Thank you for the informational video I am now following your channel I look forward to more great content!
Depends on the regulations of the country you life in. Since you show Neuschwanstein Castle, in Germany you need to have an Air Modelflight ID (I think since 2018), Insurance and if you work commercial also a license, plus an agreement for air photography. So maybe you should consider those costs before you start a hobby business... and don't forget... if you reach your limit.... you pay income tax too. I truly recommend that you start selling your photos via photojobz, instantly sell to millions of potential buyers. click here:t.co/PW3Jk0Uds1?amp=1?sellphotos Depende de las regulaciones del país en el que vivas.

Hi. I can't believe I finally found someone who cuts to the chase and has the knowledge and skills to teach and capture attention. My husband has a great career, however I have been urging him to turn droning into a second career or at least post free content for others to enjoy! I never knew I could be in complete amazement watching someone fly a drone. Literally he switches his flying style from fighter pilot to flower and smooth in an instant. (Google the drone attack scene from the Gerald Butler movie, "Angel has Fallen" if you have no idea what I'm trying to say, lol.) As you mentioned, I am going going to buy Adobe and we will focus on editing. I came across your video as I was searching how to create drone marketing content for my new brand of Facemask (_iSewn). I clicked your listing because of the sick pic and your youtube name. I started designing masks as creativity is my stress outlet and improving public health is my passion as a Nurse. I want to use drone videos to share my modern vision. It really is possible to be a top Droner if you study, take action, give freely, are persistent, and really know how to fly. Thanks again, Caitlin
It’s insane that you live in Phoenix Arizona! I would not have guessed you’d live here out of all places, thought I recognized Papago mountain in one of your videos!
Doesn't that "take photos of your farm" section get iffy with the FAA? Since that could be seen as doing commercial work without a 107? The "slide in a carrot" seems more ok but a bit in the gray zone still. But then again the FAA has been more on an education focus and not fee/punishment as they were before. Thoughts?
You know what, you sound like a really nice chilled guy, and I like that you get straight to the point, and I'm glad you don't charge to teach like others do if you wanted to learn something, I really appreciate that, you have a new subscriber
I really appreciate this video you made. This is really interesting way to look at it. I am a complete amateur (noob) and I only have a DJI Mini drone but I know it takes great photos which can be edited to look amazing from perspectives that nobody can get easily. Studying for my Part 107 now. --- I'm in a great city for it, and I will knock on the doors of businesses if I have to to get more jobs, grow my portfolio and network. At 32, I'm beyond done with career and income dissatisfaction. --- I haven't yet decided which area of drone jobs to specialize in yet, but this video really really helps.
I clicked on this for the Pics! I'm not a photographer but very interesting,
Damn!!! Thank you!! Great ideas 💡 I WILL be taking your course in the New Year.
Looks at channel, "Quick Ass Tutorials". Yup, love how fast this guy talks as well as how to the point his info is. Subbed.
Happy to see your video. It melted my heart just to know and see.
Brandon
Man I think we did the same Europe trip. Neuschwanstein castle, Halstatt... such good scenery for drones. Did you go up onto the mountains near Halstatt? That is the place where I dream I had a drone, would have taken such great footage and photos. I have one now, just gotta get back there.
Glad you're making videos again I always liked yours a few years ago. Would love to hear more about your thoughts on there being a billion pAsIoNaTe videographers these days. Best bet to work in-house or freelancing still do able?
Tempe....I was a cop there for 20 years. Retired. Now im a drone hobbyist. Working on skills, and hopefully monetizing later. I do enjoy your videos.
you need to speed up your delivery a little bit
Not quite my tempo.
I had to slow down the playback speed to 80%. He must have ramped it up! lol
How about you speed up the tempo?
Ummm, I think thats the point of the name, “Quick Ass Tutorials” . A lot of info in a short time. Kind of refreshing.
Daryl Johnson I think it’s great I could never do what he does
Subscribed and hit the notification. Laughing at your honesty...love your style. You represent Phoenix very well.
2:13 has me on the floor
My brother did 360 panoramic shot of a 360 sunset during the 2017 Solar Eclipse in Carbondale IL, we might go again for the 2024 Eclipse in the same exact spot. There is one this year but I don't feel flying to Canada or Greenland.
0:00 I can see my house!!
Thats cool!!
You should really install some windows m8
"I want to follow my passion"..."Falls on deaf ears, because I don't care." This totally made my day.
This is a first an honest advice.
Great content! But please could you try to speak a little bit faster?!!
How much faster does he need to speak? 😂
Love your shots of Varenna on Lake Como! Visited there last year and stayed in Varenna. Wish I’d had a drone with me.
I truly recommend that you start selling your photos via photojobz, instantly sell to millions of potential buyers. click here:t.co/PW3Jk0Uds1?amp=1?sellphotos
I wanted to thank you for the fantastically informative video's part 1 and 2. I live and Mesa and have a MA2 and a new Mini2 and often wondered "how far do I have to go to get to interesting subjects other than brown dirt and desert". You've opened my eyes to whats possible if you just look. I have my 107 and maybe, someday I'll do something with it. Thanks again! Subscribed for ALL!
(Google the drone attack scene from the Gerald Butler movie, "Angel has Fallen" if you have no idea what I'm trying to say, lol.)
As you mentioned, I am going going to buy Adobe and we will focus on editing.
Thanks again,
Caitlin
It’s insane that you live in Phoenix Arizona! I would not have guessed you’d live here out of all places, thought I recognized Papago mountain in one of your videos!
Sounds like the shortcut through this endeavor, is cocaine.
Nice to see, that you have some beautiful shots in austria too. In Carinthia i guess? Very helpful video. Thank you!
Very good advice! First video I've seen from your channel and instantly subscribed.
Thoughts?
You got a new Mavic Pro subscriber here man; love the clear and direct advice.
Thanks a lot for your ideas. Really great video.
I love your video about this topic. And it is a big help to others how to start and thrive in the business world. Super comprehensive video. Keep up the great work.
