I’ve been flying drones for about five years. On top of that I’ve been a photographer for about 20 years. But your suggestion about setting the drone to always take a large panoramic shot was just shocking to me - in a good way! I have taken panoramas when I needed a panorama but I never thought about taking a shot, of say a house, much closer and using the panorama in that way. Thank you for such a stunning aha!
I work in UAV mapping so I wont use much of this for work but I just wanted to say that this is one of the most effective, concise, tutorials Ive ever seen on anything. You got a sub from me man. Your work is beautiful btw
Even promoting his course is so concise. Just says "you have a discount of 100 dollars. Otherwise, watch the videos" and that's it. So satisfaying to not have some dude sell his stuff for half an hour. Almost makes me want to takes his course lmao
Just discover this channel recently and I love the pace, just get right into the point without long interm shots or footage. This is probably the only channel that I feel I would slow it down then speed it up. Thank you so much! I hope your channel grows because you deserve it!

@@Delta-gx4fm no one gave you a staight answer so i guess ill answer it. RAW is a file format for images like JPEG or GIF or PNG... I bought an air 2s, its got the 1" sensor, learning alot here, I had a mini 2 but it wasnt very good with low light pics and it started taking crooked pictures for some reason so i took it back
Just finished watching Drone Factor X, and saw a thumbnail of your video. You are hilarious!! Your info seems great. I say seems, because I don't know squat about commercial photography, but you made me a believer. Sunsets, and panoramic views here I come.
Great information, you suggestion of taking panoramic shots in non traditional settings is brilliant. Thanks for sharing that, and all the other awesome information in this video.
Just got the Mini a few days ago and your videos are making me want to save up for a MPro Zoom or the Pro2. It's really amazing what this tech can do. Thank you for the videos, I will be referring to your content for years I'm sure
Been shooting landscapes for a while now, with a regular camera, on foot, like a pleb. What I've learned so far is to use ISO 100 (or less if lens allows it), F stop depends how much DoF you want. I don't know if you want a bokkeh effect when shooting panoramas so I think you are right to say in the middle might work best, F5-F7. I don't know how good the gimbals are (I use a tripod) so I am worried about the shutter speed in drones and not having the desired sharpness. Your pictures look great though.
This was great info. I will try shooting in panorama. I’m still learning Lightroom but even just the little I have done has dramatically improved my photos. Thanks for sharing this.
All i can say is Value! Thank you for cutting out flowery words and cutting to the chase. Getting a mavic pro 2 in a week and cant wait to try your tips! Much appreciated!
One of the best pieces of photography advice I have ever heard is that you should only ever share the best 10% of your work. And I think that only applies if you're a really good photographer - for the rest of us, it's more like the best 1%. Especially with digital, photos are cheap. Take tons and then delete all but the ten best. Then throw away another 5. And then maybe save two And then maybe the remaining ones are good enough to share?
For me its share those final 2, then nobody cares, put out that 3rd place just for the heck of it. EVERYBODY wants to use the shot. I can never tell which will stick or what peoples fickle interests are they always switch but casting a medium net and making sure none of it sucks (recently) helps a lot. Particulars like conference venues, resorts, shopping malls or things like that also get bonus points because someone in marketing for these places will see it and at least THEY will like it haha
Solid content. I second everything you said about Lightroom. I started using it at work a couple years ago just to learn it and try it out, and suddenly I was a wizard to all my coworkers. It is relatively easy to learn, and everything you need for the photos is right there. Panorama is great, too. I got some shots of a couple of the school campuses for college I work for, and they came out great. I need to find a better way to stitch the images, though, because there was some weird geometry with the center bottom images.
I am actually a walnut farmer but I do like carrots! I’m curious what your thoughts are on the Mavic drones with thermal cameras? I could see a use for them in agriculture to see where you have hotspots out in the field that lack water supply. Like the Enterprise Dual? but would the conventional camera have enough power to shoot RAW shots? Thanks for the quality content here on UA-cam...
You are an experienced photographer my guy it takes a long time to get to you’re level that’s why I will start with Dronebase first until I build up experience first and a badass portfolio. Also I have a Mavic Pro Platinum and a Phantom 4 Professional ✊🏾
Wow, knocked my socks off. I have so much to learn. I use Davinci Rsolve 16--so I'm assuming I need to spend LOTS of time in the color mode to learn to make FANTASTIC video like yours!
Nice vid. Do you know if the original mavic pro is still good enough to make money with? I rarely use mine and was thinking of selling it, but this vid makes me want to shoot more stuff with it
Jack Spade also a lot of what you see is from the Mavic. Not the panoramas but some other stills. It is also great at slow shutter speeds while the Mavic Pro 2 has weird grainy spots anywhere that’s dark :(
Just getting started (newly retired military vet). Would love to know your opinion of the DJI Mini 2 for a start? Looking to start shooting for real estate sales.
Stupid question, buut "Panorama" picture, does that mean just a nice well angled shot or do you need to use a special mode in the drone to add pictures on the sides?
Hey, thanks for sharing these 2 videos, I d like to know if with a Dji Mini 2 I won't get anywhere with the suggestion you gave panoramic 9 stack pics etc or if to actually be serious I need to aim to another drone? I have incredible panormas here, there is pandemic so incredible pics could be shot ... Here rules are restrictive so basically the mini 2 would play a great job at stealing picture from anywhere ... "even from roofs"...

this is what I have been looking for!! i just bought my first drone (mavic mini) and will work my way up to the more expensive ones. i think i heard you say you shoot in jpeg and edit in raw. so are you converting the file from jpeg to raw in lightroom?? if so could you do a vid on that process? thanks again!!
no, set your drone so it shoots photos in RAW. This is because when you have RAW photos, you are able to edit more of the photo in lightroom. There's just more information in RAW than JPEG so you can adjust highlights, shadows, exposure, etc even more!
If u wanna work shoot in raw, raw is to edit pictures, if you are a photographer and edit pics in general you use raw, raw is used also in work like archaeology, cultural restoration etc..
I've got a 1440p Samsung 34 inch from amazon. I care more about the size than 1440 vs 4k, however at least 1440p makes a huge difference to me. I also don't like having two monitors, just one big one
I have few Questions, is the mavic air 2 good enough to make money with for real estate photos and videos or should I return it and just get the mavic 2 pro? Do you have any tutorials on how to edit in lightroom? I know its about the time you put in like it is with anything, but how long did it take you before you started to make money?
