Its true. I used to save any change in my pocket at the end of the day and put in a change jar because I hated having my pockets weighing down with change. Proved a great way to save. Now Monzo is a thing so I just have a new pot on the app which collects all the spare change from any card purchase. Its great. But I miss my visits to the coin mahcine
I am impressed, Barclays machines only accept 40 coins at a time. If you put any more in the machine stops and a member of staff has to go round the back of the machine and sort it out.
Careful by just quickly raising the coin delivery arm you run the risk of blocking the machine. Best to slowly filter them in by have as HSBC coin machines are notorious for jamming with half of your money unaccounted for.
yeah thats so true - I used to like the challenge of not letting it jam. But everytime it would. You know the real irony of this whole clip is that I don't even have an HSBC account anymore. In fact I really don't like them as a bank and here I am promoting them. Oh the Irony...
Nice👌 I once collected money then spent some then put it in the machine (there was one in Asda) and got £2 something. Yep 2 pounds and the coins nearly broke the bag.🤣
natwest has same thing except it don't pay straight to your account it gives you ticket to give cashier to pay in account so cuts out the need for money bags
I guess this is the updated version and cuts the cashier person out completely. It's good how you don't need lots of money bags using any of the types of machines.
Few questions, do u get the money in notes straight away, or do they send it to your account? And do you have to be a member of HSBC to use it, or can you just pop in any time? And last question, if u are not a member and u use it, does it take a percentage of money out of it for using the machine? Sorry for all the questions, but please reply to what you can soon!! :)
I have banked with HSBC for nearly 28 years this year. How do I find out if a branch in Birmingham offers this service? I have just brought a coin sorter as my other one broke and miss counting my savings.
It should you should ask inside or go to one of the coin counters where you out coins in and they give you cash (like if you collected £500 they would give that to you in notes) and then put it in your account
Only a Londoner could come up with that many coins!!

I know crazy right! What will it be next time huh?
I love how the 2 pounds adds up.
I know it's so good right. Those are my favourite. Don't need many before you are racking up a right old investment

I would give them a call or check the website perhaps?
yes thinking to call and ask I have no idea why they can put it on their website and a branch feature.
wish my bank could have the machine directly deposit it to my account, instead of taking a slip to the counter
Being from America i have a question, what coins do you have in Britain? Im just curious
We have £2, £1, which are gold. Then we have 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, which are silver then 2p, 1p which are bronze

Sounded like it was grinding up the coins!
Do you know if any Hong Kong branches have those? I could've used it when I lived there.
Hmmm not sure but I bet if you call your local bank they will tell you. I think the website also tells you what you have in each store
Over £400 was £1 and £2 coins...
