    This video is getting to be one of my fav T&L vids, probably should keep this type of topic/style in your mix.

      We'll definitely be sneaking more of these in. We might have to do a "What's in Mooseman's camera bag!?"

      @@TruthLegend Oh absolutely. I learned a ton from y'all and was instrumental in my striving to be a better wildlife photographer. I was a bit star struck meeting him down here in FL back in the Wild Photo Adventures days lol. You are both pretty amazing photographers that have inspired many over the years including myself.

    The garbage bag idea is good but I find it can rip easily. So instead I bought a tarp and cut it into different size pieces. It’s useful to cover camera and/or bag. Can of course also use it to sit on if needed. Appreciate your sharing all this. Always good to know what others are doing.

    Nice video - confirm the rain jacket cover works in a pinch. We’ve also used the trash bag as a “custom” rain cover (i.e., tear a hole to get it over the monitor) when necessary lol.
    You have a lot of gloves man but I see why. Cold hands suck.

    • @TruthLegend
      @TruthLegend  Рік тому +2

      Shooting in the rain is amazing as long as you can keep the camera dry. Gloves are important but I’ve got a little hand warmer I’ll highlight in a future episode that is a game changer! Thanks for watching!

    Nice one mate. Do you carry the fully mounted camera, rig and lens in the ICU? Also do you prendere the Sigma to the Canon 100-500 RF?

    • @TruthLegend
      @TruthLegend  Місяць тому +1

      Yeah, it's a fully mounted rig (camera, lens, rails). The monitor and batteries are disconnected. The range on the sigma is nice, but the Canon RF is lighter and just as sharp or sharper. We're just cheap 🤣

    I like that pack. A lot of camera pack have kind of a useless waist belt that doesn’t transfer any weight to your hips. My Lowepro puts most of the weight on my 59 year old shoulders. Great video!

    • @TruthLegend
      @TruthLegend  Рік тому +1

      Yeah it's a great pack, but it's a large one at 80L. Funny enough, the entire team uses the same pack, just different colors. It's size means that it's long enough to cover the torso versus sitting above the waist, resulting in a strap across your abdomen. BUT it's super easy to overload the pack with room to spare.

    Nice video. So glad you put it together. Do you strap your tripod to the bag, or just carry it? Curious what the loaded bag weighs-ish -did i miss that?

    • @TruthLegend
      @TruthLegend  Рік тому

      Most of the time we'll just carry the tripod. If we need to use walking sticks, we'll resort to strapping it to the bag, but it gets heavy and unwieldy. I believe this bag is ~52lbs loaded.

    Very informative for young photographers.Why not Sony camera and G master 200mm to 600mm lens?.Your technical suggestions will help us .Thanks and all the best.Yash.

    • @TruthLegend

      I’ve used the Sony 200-600 with Sony body and find the Sigma 60-600 is not only better due to a smaller size and better focal range but for video the manual focus on the Sigma is 1000x better. Sony is extremely touchy where the sigma adjusts shifting focus based on how fast you turn the ring and allows very nice fine focus manually. Only limit is sigma isn’t compatible with a teleconverter.

    I have the red V raptor. Two questions. What rails system are you using and what focus gear are you using on that lens specifically?

    • @TruthLegend
      @TruthLegend  6 місяців тому

      Michael uses the 19mm Bright Tangerine “Drumstix” titanium rails. The focus wheel is a discontinued Edelkrone Focus ONE but we’ve actually taken that piece off to save weight and find the Sigma lens is pretty easy to focus without.

    I'm curious what the weight of your tripod and video head is? I'm at 17lbs and I have yet to find a setup that is lighter that won't shake while filming. Oh, just a thought. You could always sell the jeep in the background for the canon 50-1000mm lens..hahahahaha Great content as usual.

    • @TruthLegend
      @TruthLegend  Рік тому +3

      Yeah that's about the weight of the primary setup. We try to use single carbon fiber leg tripods in the field because it saves us a little weight and can get lower to the ground, but there's no replacement for mass when stabilizing these large cameras and lenses. I don't think Brandon would be very happy if we sold his Jeep 🤣
