Personally, I loved the Orbs of other players around the world where you could trade and invite people for Co-op! It made your own world feel connected with other hero's in their own world as a fragment in your very own.
Balverines gimme my werewolf frog hybrids. I wouldn’t mind seeing spell weaving return I actually loved that from 3 and think it held that game up Oakvale, Chapel of skorm, temple of Avo. A dark forest or Witchwood would be terrifying on the new engines we have.
Just the choice to be a male/female character. I don't really care about having a FULL character creator cause Fable has never let you do that, but it would feel weird to not be able to in a Role Playing Game. I don't think people are mad about being able to chose a woman, we all know a lot of people prefer playing as a female character given a choice, I think it's the lack of choice that's upsetting people. What I really want and what I haven't seen yet is the alignment showing our character's choices. It was about good/evil and a big part of previous games was that it reflected in our appearance. Hair loss/color, angel/devil wings, horns/halo, those were all unique to fable but we haven't seen any of it. Which is also concerning if Playground just threw that out so your character would look the exact same all the way through the game.
Agree but I prefer if the appearance change was more noticable like in fable 2 cause fable 3 it was only when fighting that the wing's appeared and there was more choices depending on purity and corruption
I don't understand why you want the choice to play male or female. You didn't have the choice the first time around, why would you now think that the game suffers in any way, if the main character is female.

@mangelangel2570 I think there's going to be a twist and there's going to be a bigger villain. Maybe she was getting manipulated, or maybe she felt like she had no option but to make certain choices due to a bigger threat. Kinda like logan in fable 3
This game will not be a fable game without jobs and property to buy. I always loved the slice of life that the old games had, I hope they add the ability to run a shop this time imagine selling items you found on your adventures as a shop owner in your "retirement years" late game and just chilling. But that might be a stretch but I can still hope for the best.

I think the “villain” at the end is actually Theresa. She used the Spire to “create a world without suffering” some time after the events of Fable 3, something went wrong and created a world that was different from the old one but still had the same problems, and now she wants to reset it again. This would mean The Journey would now be considered non canon, but I don’t think people would care that much.
Would love to see Theresa having done that and hence why things are rebooted. When she said “but the Spire…. Is MINE” I knew she was doing some bad shit
At 0:44 there is a painting that might portray the villain. Also, the painting seems to be partially destroyed. Perhaps Humphry destroyed it out of shame.
My guess, the Big Bad, is Scarlet Robe (with Humphrey's Cape), corrupted by the evil essance of what came to be known as "Jack of Blades". Humphrey will somehow sacrifice himself to save Scarlet, but become Jack of Blades in the process. Yeah?? Maybe?? I forget, is this game meant to be set before or after the 1st game?

Loved this trailer. I thought maybe the Female Hero character model was a placeholder for the character we create, and her character model is actually the Villains model.
Personally I think the flintlock guns added something to the games. Bow and arrow should be available as well but the absence of guns takes away a choice for us
I did notice that the woman in the portrait behind Humphrey's mace 1:16, looks to have a similar staff, gloves and cloak to the antagonist in the end of the trailer. A portrait Humphrey ripped the face off in shame perhaps. But not fully discarded, perhaps he has still hope for the good in her.
Fable is the not the game for a character creator. That would be, I’d think, too difficult to have your character change appearances based upon morality. Did you play the original Fable?

I feel like this might take place between Fable 1 and 2. That is Fairfax instead of the later Bowerstone castle and not seeing guns combined with the Hero's Guild being in existence still it sort of makes sense. Timeline wise we know that the Hero of Oakvale lived the end of his life in peace in Oakfield gate, not specifying if Oakfield existed before or after the fall of Oakvale but would assume he would have tried to stop the fall of Oakvale if he was alive so possibly before, allowing for Oakvale to exist and lead a later rebellion against the Hero's Guild. He probably was instrumental in guiding the guild properly until his retirement and probably even after until his death. So imagine if Humphrey took over at some point, possibly even being an apprentice to the Hero of Oakvale due to him being the new head, I imagine your character might be the Hero of Oakvales decendent since we seem to follow his family's lineage throughout the series. It is never completely specified when Fairfax was built, just eventually that it gets taken over by Lucien possibly long after the Alchemist who built it died. The guild is apparently still in existence and in it's glory still to a point in this game. Heroes, while probably not completely prevalent appear to be prevalent enough for the guild to exist properly still. Maybe this villain is the straw the broke the camels back for the people of Albion and when guns do exist they finally destroy the guild, whether within this game or later after it. Just my theory and speculation of course. Lot of places that this game can be put in a lengthy timeline but Castle Fairfax being in it instead of Bowerstne Castle kind of limits it.

Part of me thinks that this new Fable game may actually take place near/around the time of the fall of the Guild. (Or perhaps right after) Again, no guns, which was one of the defining factors in the overthrow of the Guild. But also with the other trailer and how some people seem to maybe just hate you/heroes for being heroes. It might also actually be that this female hero who seems to be the main villain/antagonist, so far, actually disappeared to Samarkaan and is the one to bring back gunpowder to Albion, inciting the very revolution that destroys the Guild. Also putting you in the difficult situation of whether to fight the civilians in an (ultimately fruitless as we know from Fable 2) effort to save your fellow heroes and the people relying on you, trying to uphold the status quo. Or agree with her and see the possible corruption of the Guild/Heroes and help take it down. Made worse/harder with the knowledge of historical hindsight. I do think it is very possible that this game leads to the eventual dismantling of the Guild, with the question being which side of that history you’ll be on, and what your reasons for that too.
It will be funny if the trailer is trying to mislead us about the villain and it turns out this player character they are showing us is the villain and not our character
I hope there are wearable helmets in the game preferably that cover up the protagonist’s face. This will be the first game I leave my helmet on during cut scenes.
If they can truly capture the dreamy/fairytale atmosphere of fable 2 along with all the original things (relationships, but/sell property) then I may buy an Xbox just for this game lol
Character creator would be a nice addition, but I’m cool with a fixed character, so long as their appearance alters depending on their deeds (good or evil), as this was a really cool feature / role playing mechanic in the prior fable games
All the big games we knew about looked great but the game that came out of nowhere & got me excited, was Expedition 33. That game is at the top of my wishlist this year. Gave me vibes of games like Lost Odyssey on 360 & the Shadow Hearts series from PS2.
I think the trailer narratives are definitely a red herring, as you mention, and people are confused. He keeps saying 'she' and 'her' but I don't think he is referring to the player character but to an antagonist and it just happens to overlap with the actions shown by this particular player character during the trailer. It's a shame people are so quick to judgment these days (in some cases rightfully so) and resort to regurgitating things their favorite UA-camrs/Influencers say. Anger drives clicks and views and so many people are susceptible to it. They have a rudimentary character creator in their racing games...why would their RPG not have one? Silly imo.
What if this is a new take on Fable 1. But instead, Teressa survived the raid, hence she turns into the red-capped badie. Her line where she says "I'm going to fix it this place" is teressas motto from the original fables. Trying to make Albion better/safer so no one had to suffer like her and her family in fable 1. She was practically evil for the sake of good for all fables. They also depict her with vambraces and a staff, Teresa wore vambraces and was a will user in the original games.
I don't like that guns are gone, just from a gameplay perspective I don't like the idea of less build options... I REALLY hope that wasn't the Heroes Guild, I don't want a third Fable story where the Heroes Guild is just a thing of the past again and that the protagonist and other main characters are the only Heroes operating in the world.
I like how the troll worms are still depicted as their weak points Also, i wouldn't mind if they don't talk about THE Hero or his lineage, what matters is the lore, the world and it's characters, it's a Fable, so many stories can be told.
I hope we get at least a minimal character creator. I’d love to have us start as a kid like in Fable 1 and 2. Overall, I’m hopeful! The art style and the tone seems pretty faithful to the original, and the combat looks great!
Looks like they cleaned up the model textures aren't so sharp anymore, good to see choices matter again, I am betting we get purchasing of houses and businesses, also I think they're focusing solely on a female protagonist. I also believe this could be setting up to be a prequel to the previous Fables. That power is the same that leaked from Jack of Blades.
Something about british comedy rpgs will never get old to me, fable and runescape will remain my favourite games for all eternity unless they really butcher this, which i dont think is going to happen. I heard they dont want to have farting and burping though which is kind of messed up thats 50% of the game
Hope for previous saved played heros or npc heros are hireable/enlist since this is a single player rpg, you see Humphrey and the other hero tagging along with the female hero character.
I honestly think it’s Theresa, they make too much emphasis in the “she’s back” and she appears in a paint and fits young Theresa looks, but who knows. I wonder if it’s just after TLC and she is finding her way in the world or she is messing with magic changing time/dimensions/events

I hope we get at least a minimal character creator. I’d love to have us start as a kid like in Fable 1 and 2. Overall, I’m hopeful! The art style and the tone seems pretty faithful to the original, and the combat looks great!
I hope it keeps to what made the OG so good.
Maybe the events of this game will explain the events between games 1-2 and how the heros guild was destroyed?
I hope we can romance and there are some unique ones. At least 1. I always loved marrying Elvira in 1 and 2 and Elise and Victoria in 3. ❤

Looks like they cleaned up the model textures aren't so sharp anymore, good to see choices matter again, I am betting we get purchasing of houses and businesses, also I think they're focusing solely on a female protagonist. I also believe this could be setting up to be a prequel to the previous Fables. That power is the same that leaked from Jack of Blades.
Gives me heavy old school RuneScape vibes, but in greater more vibrant detail.

Something about british comedy rpgs will never get old to me, fable and runescape will remain my favourite games for all eternity unless they really butcher this, which i dont think is going to happen. I heard they dont want to have farting and burping though which is kind of messed up thats 50% of the game

Hope for previous saved played heros or npc heros are hireable/enlist since this is a single player rpg, you see Humphrey and the other hero tagging along with the female hero character.
I wonder if theyre re-doing the fable series...like erasing 2 and 3 and bringing heros back.

I honestly think it’s Theresa, they make too much emphasis in the “she’s back” and she appears in a paint and fits young Theresa looks, but who knows. I wonder if it’s just after TLC and she is finding her way in the world or she is messing with magic changing time/dimensions/events
