I swear it's so stereotypical of news stations always showing a glowing earth or something with neon lights everyone.
That's why I like the German Tageschau at 6:15 so much. It's clean, simple, exiting in a way, and not over the top like some news stations
It looks so futuristic
But I love it.
Tageschau is very nice
The Tagesschau fanfare is a classic - never changed since 60 years (just remixed from time to time)
And then France Info made a transparent globe with many key points forming the continents.

A lot of them have flashy intros and look very clean and modern, but you still can never beat the modernised BBC theme tune, those beeps & 90's drums and synth are iconic.
The Tagesschau (Germany) is the most serious one I think. I also think that it is the one with the highest quality look. Clean, modern and a I love the traditional intro which is about 50 years old.
planus "Jornal Nacional" from Brazil is similar.
Watching the Tagesschau and then a typical US news show back to back is pretty comical.

Nah it doesn't. It's been revised and tweaked over the years. In 2014 they completely redid the intro, although I guess the common theme stayed the same

News idents of other European countries are not very creative. It’s not need in imagination for most of it. Especially Scandinavia and Germany.

This version is a bastardization of the 1990-2006 version and really sounds overall worse, i much prefer the M6 19:45 one. French news intro peaked in the 90's.

Funny thing is, TF1's news intro melody is loosely based on a tune from Jaws! It's been in use since 1990 ans remixed several times so it's harder to hear the similarity now though.

I will forever love the VRT's Het Journal studio and their intro...it captures the imagination on how different their sound and look it from other European networks. I like houw they took a chance with their presentation from the usual!

Yeah to reiterate the intro always shows clips of the biggest news story of the day. In that case it was Syria. The next day it might have been something political or a sports story.

The one from 7:30 (finally...) no longer uses the 'outdated' news presenter (from last year's compilation), France 2 with the new intro, France 3 now added into the compilation, some new intros added, and the ones from Estonia and Lithuania have greatly improved. These are my favorites from this year's compilation. :)

@Bintro, I think ITV News (and Channel 4)'s copyright is actually ITN (the guys who produce ITV News, Channel 4 News and 5News in the UK), they produce and present the news as a third party for ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. Thought I'd let you know!

Also i noticed that the Belgian RTL Info intro is a recycled version from the RTL Nieuws in the Netherlands from the late 90s/early 2000s. Its not the first time i noticed that RTL/Endemol productions recycles their music. Once (2-4 years ago) i saw an ad from the dutch Postcode Loterij were they used the intro music from the German 100.000. Mark Show, that was aired in the 90s on the german RTL. Maybe someone can show me a link to the advert from the Postcode Loterij (im not able to find that one) or tell me more about the composer, etc..
Notice : France 3 changed their 12/13, 19/20, and Soir/3 Intros, the 2/5/2018.

Agreed, since Télématin (from France 2) has recently changed its intro. I think many of the intros in the compilation (that was made in 2015) have changed a lot since then. I wish Bintro could make a new one someday.
Although I hate the media, those intros always get me so excited hahaha
quod erat demonstrandum: the simpler the intro the better the news.
This is interesting, and they seem to fall into themes like all the red, with globes, and beeping seem pretty similar. I've only been familiar with the BBC but seeing all the similar variations is interesting too. If I was going to pick favorites I'd say Antena 1 Observator (which is a cool word) from Romania, then RTLs from Belgium and Luxembourg.
I wish you had more from eastern europe, like Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, etc..

Great compilation. But small question. It seems to me its name is wrong. This compilation should be called "2017" beacue it shows intros from 2017 year, not from 2018. Next year (in 2019) you should create compilation for 2018 and etc.

Maybe you know this but there are some missing from nearly every country. I think Bintro can't put literally every news intro in Europe. Austria is a good example - he excludes all of Austria's private TV. Same with Slovenia and Croatia.
Of course, it's nearly impossible to collect all the intros around Europe, but If Bintro wants to put them into the next compilation, that's where he or she can find the videos. If not, that's okay, its his or her channel.
