A little explanation about Globo's intros which is still useful today: Jornal Hoje (Today News) is the main afternoon bulletin, airing at around 1.30pm, Jornal Nacional is the flagship news bulletin, airing at 8.30pm, and Jornal da Globo (Globo's News) is the late news bulletin, airing at any time between 12am and 1am. That structure hasn't been dramatically changed since the early 1980s
19:39 I was surprised to see my country actually make it into this video, bravo! (also quick information, by the 1980's MTV had rebranded to TVM, the name it still holds to this day)

7:35: I knew the name Andrés Pastrana would ring a bell. He would become President of Colombia in 1998. And about Notiseis from Costa Rica: There was time after that when Canal Seis, the TV station that showed Notiseis, didn't even have a newscast anymore. That eventually changed when Noticias Repretel launched in I believe 1998 or 1999 as a competitor to Teletica Canal Siete's Telenoticias (which was the more popular newscast). Repretel is today's parent company of Canal Seis.
*44:10* I'm pretty sure that Moambe (Which means ''Newsteller'' by the way) had a longer intro than that, but I'm still glad to see it included in this pretty comprehensive compilation.
6:33 One correction: TV Anhanguera is not a own station, it's an Globo affiliate. Therefore, there is no reason for the intro of Jornal Anhanguera to be there. It would be better to put the one on RJTV, which is the almost equivalent of this local newscast, but produced by Globo itself in Rio de Janeiro.
What is shown at 36:06 is the sponsor's display. Just from what we could confirm in this video, the only sponsor indications that were shown at the beginning of the programme were FNN in Japan and Canal11 in Chile at 9:46 (although we do not know if it is really a sponsor indication). Incidentally, this video mentions that FNN (Fuji TV) has its headquarters in Minato Ward, Tokyo, but at that time (until 1997), the headquarters was located in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. (I am Japanese and cannot speak English, so I used translation software. My apologies if the translation is wrong).

For a Middle Eastern country, Oman is quite prosperous and has a surprisingly good human rights record (starting in 1970 anyway after Qaboos bin Said became Sultan) Doubly impressive since like Saudi Arabia, it's a flat out absolute monarchy.

There are some issues with the East Asian section of the video, and the focus of the selection is a bit off (I think public broadcasters should be included as much as possible, but that's just my opinion). There are also some obvious errors I found, such as 33:39, which should be a regular news program from China Central Television (CCTV), not Anhui TV, and the time of the opening of this title is not determined. The program name at 36:22 should be translated as "News Center 9", and the program name at 36:33 should be translated as "News Desk". Salute to you for all your hard work.

To this day, I can't believe viewers were dumb enough to complain about the NBC intro at 0:25 -- they thought it showed the world turning in the wrong direction, when it was intended to be the viewpoint from a vehicle in low Earth orbit. The crazy part about this story was that they later fixed it, and really did make the world turn in the wrong direction...
@cfsk-tv There are some mistakes in Brazil's part: at 6:28 you wrote It's Jornal Anhanguera from TV Anhanguera, but there were 2 idents: one from Jornal Bandeirantes (Rede Bandeirantes) and It's indeed from 1985, but wrongly labeled as Anhanguera. TV Anhanguera either is a Globo affiliate. As such (as Globo affiliate), most news programs different from "Bom Dia Brasil" (never mentioned in any video, no clue why but It should), "Jornal Hoje", "Jornal Nacional" and "Jornal da Globo" are regional or local ones, which are mostly standardized with a ident, but at the time they were all different. I don't think Jornal Anhanguera should be there. One that could be mentioned, beside "Bom dia Brasil", is "Noticentro" from SBT, although it has not really got important...
5:07 lo del noticiero de extravision se usó desde 1972 hasta 1979 ya de ahí el único noticiero en Nicaragua desde 1979 hasta 1990 fue el noticiero propaganda de los sandinistas

The program name at 36:22 should be translated as "News Center 9", and the program name at 36:33 should be translated as "News Desk".
Salute to you for all your hard work.
1 year ago all Dziennik Telewizijny newsreels was deleted from UA-cam. 1 month ago all Aktuelle Kamera newsreels was deleted from UA-cam. It's bad. We must save all retro newsreels on UA-cam!

An impressive selection, I was very interested to see!
Maybe you can find news intros from Belarus, including the Belarusian SSR?
Sadly, there is no intros from that period, only some fragments. But thank you for your words! 💚
@cfsk-tv There are some mistakes in Brazil's part:
at 6:28 you wrote It's Jornal Anhanguera from TV Anhanguera, but there were 2 idents: one from Jornal Bandeirantes (Rede Bandeirantes) and It's indeed from 1985, but wrongly labeled as Anhanguera.
I came here for the sick Synth riffs.

Good job very 80this
The BBC really did stand head and shoulders over the rest of the world in terms of presentation at this point. Their national packages would not have looked out of place well into the '90s.

TSR Telejournal, why the news anchor shirtless?
