Dear Serpentza, I just found your channel and I found it so informative. I am Chinese with roots in Taiwan and was born/raised in SF, CA in a caucasian part of the city and married an Irish/Italian many, many years ago. Five years ago, I stumbled on Asian tv shows on Amazon Prime, and I've watched many with English subtitles. Of course, I've become completely fascinated by Chinese culture so much so that I started taking Mandarin lessons. Lo and behold, out of the blue I was messaged with my name from a man from Beijing saying he was cleaning up his contacts, and wondering where "he" met me since he travels a lot. I thought well this is totally plausible since I've traveled to 83 countries - half of them by myself. I thought I had met a cool friend in a place that I wanted to go back and re-visit. Long story short, I was lured into a "pig slaughtering scam" and had no idea until I watched your channel and got an intervention from my son. So thank you for all your content on youtube.
That story took a crazy turn, glad you got out of it.

I had no idea how powerful Winston was. I am a Chinese Canadian living in Canada for 25 years. I haven’t dared to talk to my friends, family regarding the Covid-19 source and zero case policy. I didn’t know how frustrated they were. The night before a big city was let free, i happened to have a whispering conversation with a friend from that city. She was at the end of her patient. She was very frustrated with the zero case policy. She stated the business there are in really bad shape. Sadly, she wasn’t one of the brave one.
You know it’s messed up if you have to avoid conflicts and can’t speak plainly to your own family about the origin of the Covid, fearing that they may side with CCP due to its insurmountable propaganda.
I’m in the same boat with you.
They should be really, really tired and frustrated by now. In other places, 1 month lockdown is already too much.
I hope that huge democratic changes occur in mainland China(ccp) before I die,I want to witness it
Sadly Chinese people are used to horrid despotic rulers who treat them like crap... because of this and millennia of famine, war, tough laws and oppression, the Chinese have become adept at suffering in silence and accepting treatment that almost no other people would tolerate.
The CCP is one of the most oppressive rulers there are (just think about Covid zero and the Great Leap Forward) and sadly a big cultural and psychological change will need to happen for this to stop.

Hi Winston thank you for your most informative videos I worked in China for 4 years and found your advise to foreigners very helpful although of course I still made many mistakes, I loved the people and they were very kind and generous to me. All was fine and I used to receive news letters I was a red flag desirable friend of China until I commented that I thought the pandemic originated in China I received so much hate mail and was removed from the China articles . anyway the point of this comment is that yesterday I was watching a video on the Chinese protests on my smart tv when I got a call on my cell phone there was no answer when I said hello and the phone went dead imagine my surprise when I googled the number that had phoned me and the answer cam back in a block of numbers that I assume were from China because of the mandarin writing that went with the numbers, hope that anybody watching the protests from China is not being traced I live in P.E South Africa keep up the great work best regards

Russia is not the only country Running out of ammo USA does that to. If China attacks Taiwan, it cannot expect to get the same type of generous support as Ukraine... there is not enough with ammo in storage. The ZERO COVID policies is not about combating a virus it's about controlling a population and hide war preparation. China military output have skyrocketed the last 1-2 years. China claims it's for export :-)
