Hi Leo. Thank you for today. The nice gentleman who owns the Hatfield Museum is so nice. He doesnt act snooty or angry over the history. We have seen another couple who have a Hatfield/McCoy Museum and they have an attitude. Keep up the good work, tell Mr. Hatfield thank you and dont forget to tell Heather we love her too
Ive seen their page on youtube, I was going to send Heather and Leo the link but I said ****em we got the best let them be nasty....now Im gonna watch Leo...hey wheres Heather?
I agree about the other people. They have a chip on their shoulders. We all need to nice. I think there are bad kn both sides that we don't know about. Also it's good as well. I would like to thank you, Leo, Heather and Jack. You have taught me alot I had no clue about. I'm planning a trip there next. Can't wait.
We have a team that locates historic sites and artifacts here in southwest Missouri for organizations and families and locate lost graves. We use anywhere from 2 to 20+ volunteers ranging from little experience to highly experienced veteran detectorist, map specialist, military and civilian historians and others with an interest in history. We're currently working to locate five civil war graves near Fordland Mo. The soldiers were supposed to have been killed by a local farmer in 1862-63 and buried in the woods along the road. One grave was found in the late 1950s and we've located the general area to begin the search but had to postpone until fall due to high grass and brush.
Mammoth Springs on the Arkansas and Missouri border would be interesting to research and detect. A lot of civil war history. Missouri Mike has a good detector YT channel.
I sure wish that I was younger & in better health. I would love to come up there and meet y'all personally. You 2 are very interesting to both watch and hear. You both seem to be both honest and down to earth.
Thank you so much for doing these videos. I enjoy hearing the stories and seeing all the locations, especially since I grew up back there. My Mother died in a car accident at Sarah Ann, my family cemetary is at Trace Creek and I graduated from Matewan High School. I moved away in 1989, but watching your videos are like having little a little piece of home here with me in Tennessee.
Been detecting for 50yrs. Just soak them silver coins in lemon juice for a while and use a soft toothbrush and and water to clean them off. Rinse well.😊 Love all history.

Just to be able to watch you guys walk a “True Path of history” is so amazing. I have a dear friend I grew up in church with back here in Coastal NC that married Pamela Hatfield, back in the 80’s, and I think she said Devil Anse was her great great great grandfather. She was a teacher and is a pastors wife, she is a sweet sweet young lady.
Thank you. It reminds me of being on the bench at the country store where I'm from. It has a similar history, same reason shine not being proofed down.
THANK YOU for all you videos..... Such great stories and HISTORY. People are just SO CRUEL. Why not just scroll on and not watch these. I LOVE the Dog Wood Blooms in the background.
Thanks, Leo, for another great video. Ya'll found some good stuff there. Bad thing about that stuff, it brings up more questions than answers. I guess most archeological finds are that way. Have to wander how all that got there ? Who caried it ? You even on those dates on the coins, that was a lot of money back then. Not like losing a dollar and a half today. Be sure and tell Heather what she missed out on. When she sees digging in the dirt, I'd bet she's gonna say she'd rather be at home. Guy's Ya'll do great on your explorations of the past. Nice presentation, nice narration, very informative. Ya'll keep up the great work. God bless ya'll and hope ya'll have a blessed day. Stay safe on your travels.

I was on the trails there last weekend. I rode from Matewan to Williamson. Well almost lol. I ended up sliding off the trail off a 60 foot drop and about 170 feet from the trail. I thought I came away unscathed. My left arm hurt and was swelling so I had X-rays taken yesterday. I fractured my arm. I’m looking forward to getting back and hit you up for a camping trip and tour. I stayed at Hatfields hideout. Very nice area and people.

Hello from Canada! My husband is a Hatfield his family comes from Fox River Nova Scotia. I just started watching your videos on the Hatfield and McCoys . Really enjoyed the one with Jack Hatfield he seems very genuine. Not like the McCoy one where there is attitude. Please do another video with Jack I find you both very interesting.
I think your having too much fun with this video, like a kid in a candy store, but thank you I sure do enjoy watching you guys and your adventures and I don't even have to get bit up by bugs or poked by thorns lol keep up the great work. We're going down in August to Pigeon Forge, and I hope to stop by and see some of the site's have a great day
Amazing. Love the beach in your opening shot and wow how clean is your vehicle!. We're so lucky to have you both as UA-camrs. What an experience. Love your videos! Always fascinating. I'm curious, has anyone ever gone over the Pawpaw site with a metal detector? Seems like it would be a way to narrow down the exact site.
Bro I've been confined to my home due to a terrible hiking accident. I stumbled across this video and I can honestly say, this has me motivated to get up and get back to nature. I have already got my metel detector ready to go. I now feel like I'm going to be okay. Bones heal. Thanks to the breath of hope buddy. I do think I'll head out to Pikeville in a few days.

I love all of y’all videos they are all amazing and full of interesting pictures and information. I have always been interested in the Hatfield and mcoys❤
This was a nice video. I enjoy watching you. Miss the two of you when you’d were sick. Glad you both are better. I have a couple of questions: Is the hideout house still standing? If so, why not tear it down and move over for museum building? Was there a coal mine company town on that land where the token was found? Has your distant cousin or you hear of the Hattfield and McCoy reality show on Hulu?
I think the hideout is gone, and I'm not sure about the coin. I assume the reality show will be scripted and fake like the last one they did. Thanks for the support ☺️

The scrip can be highly collectible (and valuable based on rarity). I do take issue with how your metal detector fella cleaned it on site....that looked like a stiff wire brush he used. Also, you can date time frames of the scrip by the manufacturer's markings on one side. Some companies that made it were esrlier than others. The bullets were cool, especially that 44 dragoon!
