    Fished that creek around Burnside Bridge once and caught some nice smallmouth Bass. Some nice finds you two and enjoyed watching as always, thank you. 👍

      I started with a Garrett Ace400 and Beau signed the box for me at a Meet and Greet at the shop where I bought it. It has been a great machine and I found a lot with it. Good Luck and Happy Hunting. One of my first finds was a 9 ct gold pendant a foot down in the sand at a Toronto Beach and a $15,000 Cartier gold and diamond bracelet, albeit a copy :>D

    4:23 PTO Connector. I've broken a couple on my old 30's Super C Farmall. Looks very similar.

    Have you ever been down near Bull Falls, there is an old town along the tracks that's not there anymore. I think it was called Shenandoah City and there are remnants of an old dam that diverted water to the banks and they had water powered factories that got wiped out by floods. There is also the island on the other side of the river.

    Chigg, I happened to be watching another video after yours (American Battlefield Trust-Vicksburg 160th anniversary.) At 2:05 minutes in
    there is a Handheld Grooming Tool pictured in a case that has piece of iron with teeth. Looks like garden tool of today but it is next to other
    grooming tools. Thought you might want to know.

    It looked like you two were having some fun. Of course, it's always fun to see you pull Mike's chain. For Mikes's info, gilt is considered a heavier layer than plate. Where did you learn so much about farm equipment? I'm always amazed (shouldn't be) when you can identify an item like that spring. Thanks for a longer adventure. Of course, you know they are never long enough for me! 😊

    Maybe a tip I don’t know if it works for iron your digging out of the ground but when I come across Rusty tools that I’ve picked up, I soak them and use motor oil six months to a year later they come out looking pretty decent. Great video as always .

    Could that horseshoe have been an Ox shoe? I found one before and mentioned in my video it was a broken horseshoe and was told Ox Shoe. Cool finds. Happy digging! 👍

      Ox shoes look different and have a significant widening on one end. A quick Google will show you the difference.

    My great Grandfather was in the Union army during the civil war and actually fought at Antietam...He was in the heavy artillery.

      Mike sabot was from Union Heavy Artillery. Maybe your Gf fired it.

    They prevent steel to steel contact up the barrels.Sabots peel away on exiting the barrel they allow small calibre projectiles to be fired from larger guns with larger charges. Copper bands used to on shells made of steel to engage the rifling are called firing bands.

    After discovering the channel a couple weeks ago, and binging all of the content I can, I think I want to give this hobby a try.

    Sab-ot or sab-oh is the same as the Scots refer to a joint of meat as jig-ot which is derived from the French jig-oh. Y'gotta love how languages morph over time and geographic distance. Very kule.
