Billy Thorpe was singing "Some People Think I'm Crazy" Col Joye was on stage urging us to outsing Billy Thorpe. We didn't have a chance with Billy Thorpe's ability to sing louder and hold those words to any song. I'll never ever forget that amazing concert.

Cheesecloth, beads, incense sticks and pure rock and roll blues on a beautiful night in tropical Brisbane before highrises, cars and pollution and overseas investors. Saw this great band many times in Brisbane. "The Sound Machine" in Elizabeth Street. Alcohol free nightclub where one could indulge on a Johnny Farnham Malted Milk Shake under flourescent lights. Billy Thorpe and his Aztecs is a unique part of my early life at a wonderful time to live in Brisbane Australia when it was a secret to the rest of the world and loved by those who lived here. Now it is a nightmarish mess.
