I recently bought the newer version , the one that is a one piece and I bought the added badge controller but I cant get that work at all, I have it connected from Badge > long wire > controller> license plate adapter. Am I doing something wrong? App that I downloaded doesn't control nor do the buttons on the badge controller.
There are no written instructions included. However, there's a good install video here on YT. I have no more than a basic knowledge of electronics, but I was able to do it. I had to buy two "t-taps" in order to siphon off the license plate wires. You'll most likely also need plastic rivet/fasteners to reattach the truck panel. Very happy with the results, it looks fantastic.
does anyone know how to get the app? I received my emblem kit with no directions or anything. I've been trying to figure this out and have received some online help but nothing from the vendor even though I've emailed them 3 times now. Their chat is useless. You know your directions are not complete if your online video doesn't mention that you might what to add some silicone to the hole that you drilled to keep out moisture. I Love the concept of the produc,t but their follow thru after the sale sucks. Pretty sad, not sure how they expect to expand the business with this level of support.
What a waste of time and money. That is the last thing i want to do is advertise my Tesla or any vehicle I own. I would be setting myself up for someone to come and key or deform my vehicle. You can keep this garbage. The less people that know I have a Tesla the better. Bye!!!!!!

hi Ron, Sorry for the late reply. The QR code for downloading the app is on the controller, and you can scan it with your phone.
