Do not use a hair dryer, instead, you need cool air to circulate. Hot air will make the issue worse as it could melt down some parts which could cause more water to go in. If you can, the best solution is actually dry cold air. One time I got condensation on my old Lexus headlight and I took it out by removing the light bulbs and using a hose from the A/C vent in my house directly to the light bulb opening. The way I attached the hose to the vent was using a shoebox, I made a hole, taped the hose into it and then taped the box to the vent which was about the correct size so all the cold dry air would be directed to the headlight. Since the light has many openings for different bulbs, the cold dry air goes in and blows whatever is inside out from the other openings. It took about 30 minutes to get the condensation out as I had a lot. Now for Tesla, my Tesla Model 3 Performance had a little bit of condensation one day after a very bad rain storm, but went away in less than 5 minutes from the time I saw it. If it happens again, I will use the Tesla app to ask to have someone to come to fix it since it is still under warranty. You should do the same. Only reason i have not done it is because I like to send them a picture, so I will wait and see if it happens again and take a picture. Cheers
Thank you for the reply. If it happens again I will try and use cold air. Issue with Tesla lights is they are sealed units. You will have to cut the glue that holds the piece together to get good circulation. My car is out of warranty and was not going to spend money to get it replaced. The condensation disappeared and it lasted for a few months till it came back. I then drilled a hole on the bottom of the light to get water to drain better. All in all in the end I decided to change the light with Hansshow starlink lights, which I also made a video for.
When you buy a Tesla you automatically become a UA-camr, an engineer, a problem solver, a warranty worker, an inventor. My question: can Tesla do anything right? So much crap that fails ... Last question: did that what you did there really fix your issue?
Like anything you buy there will always be a need to modify or fix. The amount of work I do in my home once I became a home owner keeps me busy as well. I started with UA-cam because my kids asked me to, especially the additions I do to the car. To answer your question yes it solved my issue with the condensation. But I ended up replacing them when I saw the cybertruck inspired tail lights. Thanks for watching.
Thank you. Was not that bad. Just be careful with the clips on the cover in the trunk. A lot of people say they broke theirs. Just take your time and it can be done with out issue.
I gonna drill a fking hole in the back of the taillight so air and condensation can escape. Doing that wont lower the trash quality of the lights at all
Thanks I did this and haven’t had condensation since.

Because no other car brand has condensation in their lights. Oh wait...
yea this seems pretty ez to do, great vid SGDS!

My trunk trim doesn't have that white foam insert, which I'm guessing is for sound deadening? I wonder why that is :(
Which model do you have. I think the non-long range does not have a subwoofer.
@@someguydoingstuff1254 I have a Performance, so it ought to have it. I think the UK cars have slight differences to US, I guess.
Where did you get your music from?
Made it in garageband
@@someguydoingstuff1254 sounds super similar to my stuff bro
Ok cool I guess
how is it now? leak free? :-) no condensation? :-)
So far so good
Update?
Was working well but then decided to update the lights to something nicer. Watch my video on the new lights. Pretty cool

I thought about doing the same thing about drilling. But sealing it was another option.
@@someguydoingstuff1254 y i ginna drie it and then seal it. now my stupid take: use glue, not the superglue, the normal one to seal it😅
