Just wanted to paint you a funny picture;)...35 yr old tattooed tomboy that doesn't want to look fat in her cosplay armour... clinging for life to the staircase, as cats help.😸..but learning a great deal. Can already see my abs again, flexibility has increased considerably, not to mention coordination! It's not pretty but I love you're workouts so much! Thank you! mrrowh!!😺
eyyy nice another cosplayer! I'm pretty much in the same boat, I don't wanna look fat in my cosplay and I am also planning on learning a dance for one of my cosplays so I need to improve my technique
I practice ballet as a rejuvenating hobby and to focus on muscle control. I haven't done a class in a few months due to covid and this was a great video for getting back into it. Thank you for posting!
Thank you so much for the video. I broke my femur really badly 5 and a half years ago and still walk with a limp due to week glute/thigh/damaged quads on the injured leg. I have done this video several times over the last couple of weeks (I did a fair bit of ballet when younger - up to senior grade/grade 5). So far so good - I am getting better at standing firm on the injured leg.... I'm hoping this will help me take all my weight on bended knee on injured leg (I can't do the fondue properly standing on injured leg but I will keep at it and report on progress. I'm going to try the other videos too now from tomorrow because although I feel stiffness after doing them, it's not real pain as such. xx
@@SpazzyJazzi Hi Jasmine - yes I have. I haven't had chance to do the barre for the last few weeks as I'm now baby sitting my granddaughter three days a week and other days are so busy catching up. I can now walk down through the muddy fields in wellies which is amazing, but have kind of overdone it so been incredibly stiff so this morning I just did the barre again. I still have trouble doing the bend on the supporting leg in fondues to the front and side but I will get there!
@Dreamer Girl very good thanks. Pain free. I limp a bit when I have done a lot of exercise the day before and my muscles get stiff but otherwise I am starting to forget i did it
Wow great! Thanks. I wish I had seen this video before going to my first killer barre class. I will continue practicing the essentials before I take another class.
Hi There I have plenty of beginners classes and explanations on the Studio. There are Beginners plans for you to follow as well as full demonstration of each step in ballet. lazydancertips.vhx.tv We even have an App for Android and IOS so you can practice ballet wherever you want :)
Do you have another different barre about the same standard? Am really enjoying this one but is there another similar one? Is there one with some music to do it in time to too? Used to love the old RAD syllabus back in the early 80s :)
My last formal ballet lesson was 12 years ago. Is it normal not to feel the pullup in the abdomen anymore? I can still feel it on my butt and knees but the ab pullup is missing.
How tall should the barre be, compared to your arms? I am 1,59 m, and I always feel like the barre/chair is very uncomfortable. And thanks again, for a lovely video❤️
Usually the barre should be slighly higher than your waste line/mid ribs :) If the back of the chair is too low it will feel unconfortable and you will lose your right alignement :) Hope it helps! Time for new chairs? Just kidding! Lots of love to you! Alessia :)
I'm a 15 year old male who does contemporary dancing. I never took a ballet class and i didn't even know the basics. In 3-6 months there is this audition for a performing arts school so i needed to at least know the basics. When I did this for the first time (today) I was sweating, it is pretty hard and I feel terrible. I really want to get in the school and I will continue doing this but my chances aren't looking that great. Thanks for teaching us the basics of ballet and it inspires me to work harder! ❤️
Due to coronavirus outbreak my ballet classes are cancelled. Now I practice at home and this is the most helpful ballet barre follow along video found on youtube. Thank you!
Can you make a video for *complete*, absolute beginners like me? One where you show slowly, step by step, how to do for example a plié? I tried to do this video but I feel like I was just kind of swinging my legs in different directions without really knowing what I'm supposed to be doing, lol. But it was fun and I'd love to actually learn to do it properly! :)
Hello :) we do have everything you ask for at the lazy Dancer studio :) Ballet Foundation, Ballet Plans and Detailed explanations of all the steps :) You can find all the details here www.lazydancertips.com/ Lots of love Alessia
Ok, I just have to tell you the same super exciting news. Ive been using your videos for about 2 months now, and I'm more flexible now than I was when I was a kid and I did martial arts. I was so excited last night I had to pop in and show my b/f how I could touch my forehead to my leg. Lol. Thank you, Alesia! Muah!
Yes! Ballet will do that to you. When I was a kid, I used to do ballet, and I used to be able to touch the back of my head with my feet. I couldn’t do it at first but after doing ballet for some time I was able to. This workout is basically what I used to do. It’s very familiar to me.
I found this and immediately liked the way this “class” was structured. I felt like you were holding my hand and guiding me yet also easy enough to follow where I could do it alone at certain points!
Well I want to thank you Alessia - I started ballet at 5 years of age and taught ballet while my 2 sons were growing up. I am now 62 and it is only thanks to discovering your ballet workouts during the first lock down that I re-ignited my passion for keeping ballet fit myself and I have been doing your ballet barre for the last 2 years. It has been amazing and now, even when I am away and don't have access to the internet, I can hear your voice encouraging me and so glad that I discovered you ~ thank you Alessia. As long as I can I'll be enjoying ballet thanks to you.
i really liked this barre ballet workout and i also used chair!! i'm a beginner so this was perfect for me. thanks :) i want to practice again tomorrow fondu.
I really love watching ballet and I'm tall and skinny so I thought: why not? Even though I'm terribly nonathletic. I made it to 12:27 before my legs were shaking too much and I always get so many compliments on my calf muscles lmao! Great video, I'm super impressed at your gracefulness during these. I tried to imitate it but failed. Maybe on the 2nd or 3rd try I'll be able to retain some of my dignity.
Even though I had to take breaks I really enjoyed the workout. It was a wonderful pace and I loved how you explained and demonstrated each move. Thank you.
Decided to begin working out during the summer because all I do is stay home and sleep and eat, this made my hips hurt so much! It was really fun doing it despite being in pain once in a while lol
I just wanted to say thank you for all your videos. I got injured and had to spend a year off dancing and I am now back in class with alot of children do much younger than me. And I am working so hard to get my technique back to work my way through what I have missed and your videos are so great at helping me increase my strength and technique. thank you
Im literally in exactly the same boat as you. Had a bad injury and havent done ballet for a year... Going back to a class of kids younger than me and Im so nervous.
I haven't done ballet in four to five years! and during this quarantine I have gotten back into dance. Also this video reminded me of how much I love ballet so thank you for the video! I enjoyed following along.
just finished this ^_^ such a great workout. my turnout is a measly 100 °degrees but i learned it's about the inner thigh muscles and engaging the core to keep the form! so when doing plié i won't get the perfect angles but i finally take care to not stick my bum out lol. for someone sitting 8h a day due to work I believe ballet barre workouts are the best.
haha she is amazing! i wish my ballet teacher was so fun! please make more beginners videos! i used to study ballet for a lot of years but now i don''t have the strength and i want to start again! your videos are nery helpfull
I took ballet classes from the age of 6 to 14. I have nothing but happy memories from dance class. This video has inspired to want to do this again. I loved doing the barre exercises! Thank you for this video. I’m a new fan and subscriber. 💕
Hi! I am 43 years old and haven't danced since the age of 14...I've made it through minute 16 of the Mini Barre class. This video gives me some variety. Wow, thank you for writing!
always loved the look of ballet and barre and would love to get into it so i typed in ballet workout and found this!! amazing! subscribed and will definitely do more of your videos :)
just wanted to say this is the perfect slow paced follow along routine to do at home every day. I am glad I finally found the perfect video for my needs, thank you!
Oh my goodness Alessia!! You are amazing! This is such a beautiful class! I have just started ballet again after 20 years and this class was so liberating! You are just divine, your personality is so refreshing and you are doing a great job :) Love Nat xoxo
Nat welcome back to the world of ballet!!! :D:D I'm so glad you are having fun and most of all, i'm super happy you are dancing again! Lots of Love Alessia :)
Hey thanks so much. Haven't done a classical class in decades. Tried some of the online company classes which were a little quick but really enjoy your patient fundamental approach.
New subscriber! It's a snow day so my group exercise class was cancelled. But the gym opened the studios so people could do their own thing. Your video, another on Barre technique and an aerobic Barre video for me through. I feel amazing and am happy to incorporate this and your other videos into my home practice.
Just got back into training after a bunch of injuries which meant an hour ballet class was too painful for me but since quarantine, your videos are super useful and my body i=s getting stronger again. Thank youuuuuuu
I just signed up for your videos. And watched your 3day workout video and the KITTIES WERE THERE. HIW CUTE THEY ARE. I HAVE 3 and a black and white like yours. They are so funny 🤣. I enjoy your videos!!!!
Hi Alessia! I just wanted to say thank you. I have never subscribed to any youtube channel in my life, but today I crossed the threshold and subscribed to your channel. I have an 11-year-old who just loves you. We fondly refer to you as Aunt Alessia, and whenever we do, it's with a bright grin! Thank you for sharing your love of ballet and professional expertise with such enthusiasm and humility. I look forward to my Tuesday and Friday "classes" every week. Now that I've subscribed, I really look forward to expanding my limits and my daughter's. Keep doing what you're doing! We love you, Aunt Alessia
Hi Alessia! I am doing your workouts consistently and I can say that it is helping me a lot and some improvement has been done already.I will keep on doing and thank you so much for your video lessons! Stay well and safe!
Woah I always wanted to do ballet as a kid and now I'm going to try to get into a class in a few months. This short little routine absolutely murdered me but I'm excited to work on flexibility and it felt really good for posture as well as my stupidly flexible hips that like rotating outwards, as in plie
Thank you for this video! At last a great teacher and SLOW. All the videos on UA-cam do it so fast. I have a herniated disc in my back and this is the only workout I can do without pain because it’s slow. Please do more! Loved the focus on form as well! Nice job!
I was an insanely flexible kid, like i should’ve been put in gymnastics as soon as i started walking. My parents were too poor to afford ballet so through my life i didn’t really do much and had classes here n there when we could spare money. I am in my 20s now but hoping i can get my flexibility back, i do yoga and am still flexible but I’m on a medication for chronic pain so it relaxes or makes my muscles heavy but ballet helps me so much.
So... this routine was not slow for me lol. I did some ballet like 15 years ago or so, and have been lately wanting to retake lessons as a hobby and for the phisical benefits, but I'm still relearning all the basics. I have to say, I did have some fun with this workout, so thank you for giving me the opportunity to practice it!
Stopped ballet three months ago to join the German military. Now after basic training this is my first ballet workout and it was way more difficult than I expected.
I have a hard time following most exercise videos. Yours are clear if one goes through the basics, you encourage enough for me to hang in there, and .. that brush exercise was so fun!
Well, it is obviously not slow, hard to follow along, and I wouldn't recommend it for beginners.

Why is it so hard to lift the leg to the side while in first position? While one leg is turned to the front, I can lift the other one really high, but not when they’re facing the side in first. :(
Always love the explanations and reminders. Is the cup of tea vs cashew to ensure a proper "wing"? Proud to say all this time with your videos has set my muscle memory to be 100% non-cashew! Looking forward to trying most of this on my balance disc. xo Maestra and thank you as always!
Proud of you for the no Cashew ! Yes that's exactly it! I should take a picture...mmmm There you go coming soon 'Cup of tea on heel photo'! Thank you Amity! Ciao Alessia :)
love this so much!! i'm starting ballet in (hopefully) a few weeks or in autumn and i want to prepare a bit- these are amazing, thank you for your amazing videos
I am begginer (I had 10 classes of basics of ballet) and I really like this video. It was very good excersice and that 16 minutes were very quickly. Thank you :)
Hello I'm french and I'm 43 years old, I have stopped dancing for 15 years because of health problem, I try to begin again, and I'm very happy to have found you. I find it's a little bit faster but thanks to youtube we can choose slower... To feel better the body I prefer doing exercices at my own rythm. Sorry for my bad english ! Thanks for your works
I have never had a dance class in my life. Thank for this Channel! I love your instructions and personability you bring to it. I'm loving it!!
These follow along videos are fool proof I love them!

Yes this is me too!!!!!! Bahahaha ❤❤
eyyy nice another cosplayer!

28 year-old tattooed man here, falling over, sweating, utterly convinced ballet is black magic.
thank you for this! decided to take my first ballet class online during quarantine and this was super fun and easy to follow!

More of these please for beginners. I loved this. Thank you!!!
This helped a lot! Love the way you explained everything.....Thank you so much for making this video!!!
Goodness that was hard for me. Bad cramp in calves on balance, but great speed and practice.
I am begginer (I had 10 classes of basics of ballet) and I really like this video. It was very good excersice and that 16 minutes were very quickly. Thank you :)
I have to pause after each exercise to regain some strength in my legs, but I keep doing it until the end.
You’re fun and easy to follow! Found the right channel! ♥️
Just pausing to comment so I can also catch my breath :)) This is amazing! hahaha
Proprio quello che mi serviva stasera ❤️ anche se preferisco quando metti musica classica ;)
