If Terry Kath were alive today, I have no doubt that he would love these guy's. Please tell me that this band has gotten a tip of the hat from the remaining members of Chicago as it is today. Nothing could be more Brilliant than the original members themselves. Shocking similarities !!! DAMN ...
As stony wrote, Danny Seraphine (Chicago's original drummer) has played with them in concert. Robert Lamm has joined them on stage and loves their stuff. Michelle Kath (Terry Kath's daughter) presented her late father's guitar to Sergey Kashirin (L&F's original guitarist) at Village Studios in LA during their first US tour in '19. Several later members of Chicago have also joined with them for various songs. In fact, the reason they became so well known is that a few weeks after Leonid did his first video, a Chicago deep cut called Brand New Love Affair, the Chicago folk thought it was so good that they put it on their own website, drawing attention to it and the band. That drew attention to it, causing Leonid to do more ... and the rest is history!
@@kevinriedler3990 I was picturing every person you mentioned here. That explains a lot! Fascinating. In the video "Live at Tanglewood" or something like that, I loved how Robert Lam would compliment Terry's guitar playing and how his keyboard playing doubled as a rhythm guitar, like in 25 or 6 to 4. Which was one of Terry Kath's best solo's ever! I stumbled on to "this" band somehow by scrolling down. I'm really glad that I did. Thanks so much for the information. Great Rock story! These guys are incredibly talented!!! And what a thrill it must have been to be handed that guitar by his daughter. Gives me chills thinking about it!
@David Cantwell. This is not Chicago Transit Authority, it is Leonid and Friends from Russia. Leonid, the main singer in this piece, transcribed everything from sound with no music score in the beginning. They’re very popular now with a great following. They’re great musicians, but can barely speak or understand English. They’re on USA tour now; go see them!
Lenoid, have you considered doing the entire song from this track? Make me smile is a small part of an overall arrangement of a piece called Ballet for a Girl in Buchannon. I would enjoy seeing you do entire movement.
Really good. A fine tribute but No one could sing that song like Terry Kath. Blessed to have had him for the time we did. When I’m down I listen to this or 25 or 6 to 4 to cheer me up. Works every time. RIP TK.
25 or 6 to 4, Tanglewood live. Incredible version. My favorite comment on that video is someone using the name Mike Patton. May be him, maybe not. "Damn, Terry, what did that guitar ever do to you?".
Amazing job on this song. In the early 70s I was the guitar player in a 8 piece horn band, thats one tough guitar part. Terry would be proud of that solo. Now if only someone had Terrys amazing one of a kind vocals.
Great, great version. Truly outstanding. Have you guys considered doing the entire 'Ballet for a Girl In Buchannon'? You guys have the chops to pull it off beautifully.
Really enjoy the monochrome, but the filters on the sides makes me think I need to wear my glasses. Almost like a far out trip. But that was many many years ago.
That's pretty damn amazing. Good work. One more reason to say, To Hell With authoritarians of all stripe! Down with hate! Enough war and tension. The People Of The World Want Peace and Harmony! Love your brothers and sisters and... sing a happy song!
The guitarist is just amazing at the 3-ish minute mark. Have been learning but my fingers cover too many strings at a time and am losing hope that I can learn! Can't turn the wrist enough to get the fingers pointing down vice at an angle... sigh... the joys of short fingers!

There’s a video of Danny with their drummer showing his excitement and seal of approval 😎🙏👍♥️
@@stony2494 oh that's so cool! Be really cool to see the video.

Sergey is a BEAST on this track! Terry would be proud
This ain't Chicago ... This is "Chicago Transit Authority" at their very best ever.
David Cantwell Band never was the same after Terry Kath passed away. RIP
Mark, the WORLD was never the same after Terry Kath passed. Maybe the most overlooked guy of any band, ever.

The best: Real Music made by Real Musicians with Real Instruments. Need I say more !!
Leonid leading and singing. The good old days. Sergueî waouh. Vassily what a voice.
Great job guys. NOBODY can capture Kath’s guitar. Lodie

The BRILLIANCE of this great group - is off the charts!
What a fantastic rendition of this Chicago hit song. They are great!!!!
Flawless and jaw-dropping ... absolutely fantastic performance from the entire band
Is there anything the lead guitarist cannot play? He is unreal!
Sergey is currently one of the best guitarists 🎸🎸🎸 in the world!
Un-freakin-believable! The drummer; Guitar solo; horns; every single bit kicks @#$! I would definitely pay to see these guys live!
excellent cover of one of the greatest bands ever.

This is fantastic, guys!! Just what I needed this morning. I'm a life-long Chicago fan and It definitely made me smile!
Cannot Get Any Better
Always above and beyond. Chicago lives through you all. From the US with love.
Great, great version. Truly outstanding. Have you guys considered doing the entire 'Ballet for a Girl In Buchannon'? You guys have the chops to pull it off beautifully.
Very well done cover gents. I was feeling the drumming and guitar work really strongly.
These MUSICIANS ALL are masterful..!
These fellas are awesome. Wow. Really good rendition.
Bravissimi!!!
I've watched this many times. I've decided a person probably has to sell their soul to play guitar like that...
And I almost didn’t watch this . FANTASTIC cover , gentlemen !!!!
LOVE ... LOVE ... just can't get enough!
Really enjoy the monochrome, but the filters on the sides makes me think I need to wear my glasses.
Almost like a far out trip. But that was many many years ago.
Makes me miss Terry Kath even more.
Gee sounds like Chicago!🎸😀
Oh man, at the 2:26 mark Leonid is "feelin' it!" I laughed out loud...when the music is soaring and you're in the zone. Thanks for making us smile. :)
pcnotpc ....RIGHT ON! I can’t help but smile ALL the time watching these guys....AND Ksenia obviously
I just had my mind totally blown!!
Who are these guys?
@@IPBullets Leonid & Friends. Check out his channel : Leonid Vorobyev

Love you guys! I appreciate what you do.
Wow! You guys are amazing!! Taking us back in time. Superb talent! Thank you, thank you!
Sorry, but better then the original and I loved Chicago version.Awesome job!!!
Incredible!
Fantastic! So tight man. 👍
Damn that was good.
Every time I hear Igor play drums, its like listening to Danny Seraphine's double. Igor ROCKS!!!!!!!
You guys are great!
Da !....you make us all smile.
(o bozhe, this is better than the current Chicago)
this gives the original lineup a run for their money
Chicago is really now just a cover band of their own songs, sadly.
Ya ya better than the original ...but they didn't create these epic tunes and that's how a modern femme full of hypergamy would think.....just sayin!
"Current Chicago"???? Pankow 71, Walt 74, Loughnane 72, Lamm 74.....give 'em a break.
"Current Chicago"???? Pankow 71, Walt 74, Loughnane 72, Lamm 74.....give 'em a break.
Hell yeah!!

They sound amazing!
Nice!!!!!! Right on!!!!!!!!
You guys are so good
You Guys are really tight!
Excellent !
These guys r awesome!'
Freakin’ SICK, baaaaybay!!
Изысканный, как всегда, Леонид!
You guys are simply fantastic. Love it!!!! The drummer makes me want to quit playing drums...he makes it look to easy
Wow, wow and wow!
*drums probably the hardest to play on this song* overall. Guitar solo was spot on and difficult
C est pas mal! Ça me rappelle mon enfance!
Love it!!!!
Absolutely stunning work. I always thought Canada's Brass Transit was fabulous but these guys go one step further.
@@machone35 I just saw Brass Transit last week, and they were okay but Leonid & Friends just leave them in the dust!
Thank you.
Must be a huge following back there for their hometown crew. Regards.
Vasily nailed it!!!!! wow
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
well done
Muito bom.
faantastical
WOOOWWWWW.......WOOOWWWWWWWWWW BOOOOMMMMMMM
And Brass Transit is an excellent Canadian band!
Written by , as Terry Kath would say, by Jimmy Trombone😜
👍👍👍
I would love to see the video of just the bassist and drummer
Well done! Should have kept the Ballet going to the end... Any other Chicago tracks?
iLL bet you sound better than the original studio masters
Happy bass player
I wish I knew how to say "fuck" in Russian, because I want them to know that I think they are fucking incredible... thank you from Canada.
These guys are really good, but you can’t replicate Kath’s voice.
The guitarist is just amazing at the 3-ish minute mark. Have been learning but my fingers cover too many strings at a time and am losing hope that I can learn! Can't turn the wrist enough to get the fingers pointing down vice at an angle... sigh... the joys of short fingers!
Well done. The keyboardist kind of looks like Alex Trebek.
Where's Terry?
9 out of 10
If they had just did an instrumental their musicianship alone would have gotten them a 10!
The vocals were just.......
Unfucking real
Not sure if I like the filter . It's like looking through a magnifying glass.
It's Already Been Done, therefore Please, try something Fresh,
