Unless you can write your own hit songs, and do your own arrangements, you are at the mercy of producers, who will choose to go with more famous names first, rather than do a lot of work with an unknown or a much lesser known singer, when they can have a ready made market with an already famous name performer. Yes, Ksenia is a great voice. But you can go to almost any black baptist church in America, and find a girl with a great voice. The singers know this, too. Ailee is a well known example; born in U.S., couldn't get a recording contract, so she had to go to Korea to become famous. Still doesn't have fame in the U.S..
I listen to Miriam Stockley quite a bit...she's a bit more "international" and maybe a bit more eclectic...but certainly in the same category of pure perfection. Such good stuff.

I know that feeling. Ksenia's rendition of Karen Carpenter's "Superstar" literally brought me to tears. I lost my wife it will be two years ago June 15th and hearing her perform that song taught me two things I already knew. One, that I will always love my wife with all my heart and two, how much I miss her.
