They did understand! It was Pinetop's event. They were just coming out on the porch to listen to him. I was there!

I wonder, these young people, did they have any idea who this gentleman really was-helped create American music history.

Reminds me of something I saw in high school. When I was a senior we had to deliver flowers to a local nursing home. Eventually we all ended up at one room listening to a very old black gentleman singing and playing harmonica. The nurse told us his name was Napoleon Strickland and that he was a very famous blues musician who had travelled all over the world. We sat there for an hour listening to him play. He passed away about 2 months after that, but it was truly a unique experience.

Black s deserve every musicians respect there would not be any jazz ,no country, no rock, ( CHUCK BERRY) Fats Domino no boogie woogie. When I first heard little Richard I I picked up coke bottles, until I had enough money to buy the single, thank you all Black artists for creating my life.

@@deeznuttz905 well if you'd spent much of your life playing with grammy-winning blues artists as I have, one tends to see a lot of people who have no idea... and thus is a problem with the blues today... less young are into it, and it's carried by a lot of us older folks. That's pretty much all I was saying.

@@pinetopperkinsfoundation thank you for clarifying! There was no description other than the title saying, "...at the store." It appeared to be the kind of situation I mentioned. I'm glad those were all fans!

Great Music master, but I hate it when people flock around someone like that, with their cameras and phones destroying the moment. NOT TO MENTION THE ONES WHO HAD NO CLUE WHO HE WAS
Granted it is not as bad as the kids with their phones out when a person gets hit by a bus...instead of trying to save their life, but still. Same problem, everyone wants to be the next great movie maker smh.
