- 2023 Toyota Prius can parallel park and perpendicular park itself. I demo the perpendicular feature and it might help you a lot.

Thanks everyone for your support of my channel. Please watch an ad or two while looking at my videos. It helps and I have great partners!
Would you use this feature? Jeff
Yes
Jeff, To be frank, I doubt I would. 😉
Very rarely. If someone can't self park a car this small with just a backup camera and parking sensors, they probably shouldn't be driving hahaha. I mean, for extra tight spots, it may come in handy. I think the bigger question is whether or not I would PAY for the feature, which I certainly would not.
hey Jeff, TJ Hunt the UA-camr is looking for a manual supra ASAP, anyway you can help him out
By the time ya finish choosing which park options ya want. I'll already be in the store.
Hahaha, with a little practice it’ll speed up
😂😂🤣
Lol
I have a 2023 Prius Limited and I have to say I've never used this feature and probably never will.
@@computerweenie It's good for people with disabilities and the elderly.
I have been watching a Lotta videos about this car and no one mentioned this feature let alone showed it working, thank you!
Hey Jeff 😮 I like it
I wish you did reviews on all cars or should I say Al brands like mini coopers and so on ,I brought my Toyota Venza in 21 because of your reviews I really like your energy keep up the good work
Great feature Jeff. Thanks!!
I love your videos Jeff. You always do a great job. Your friend, Dan
You said it's backing up on its own. Are you pressing the gas and brake?
Do you move forward or the car does when you have to back up
0:43 The position is shifted due to shadows of other vehicles right? but looks it can be adjusted using buttons on the left. It must be useful for many.
Good catch
Is this only available on Prius Prime? And man I’m starting to regret getting a 2022 model Toyota 🤣. So many cool features tech lovers have wanted reliable Toyota to add to their vehicles in 2023.
This is a regular prius and as you saw it has it
I think I could have done a better job at centering it, and more quickly too. I suppose those who need it, will pay for it; the rest of us will already be in the grocery store lol
That’s because he did not edit the space location on the ‘set parking space’ screen. The car was set to park the way it did.
@MattCC16 ah in which case it was user error lol. Okay, still stand by my original statement
How do you turn off the parking assist on this car ?!?
Can you guys answer which trim is this available on? Or is it an add on available to any of the trims?
I wonder if this will detect people
How much does this feature cost?
Toyota needs to include a spare tire in the XLE and Limited trims with optional 17 inch tires as well! Either that, or include Softex for LE trim as an option. Deal breaker for me.
Agreed
I have issues with all this new stuff. What if Toyota charges a subsription fee for the latest feature? For example - the auto start from your phone... price went up +14.2% to start your car. A great feature but Toyota is price gouging. I would think twice about buying a Toyota.
This thing looks like tesla
Not even centered when it completes the parking job.
That’s because he did not edit the space location on the ‘set parking space’ screen. The car was set to park the way it did.
People that can't park don't need to be driving.. by the time I pushed all those buttons I would have already had the car parked and on my way.. It's the same as with all the steps you have to go through to use remote start. You wear your fob out pushing the button three times waiting for it to start and half the time it fails 🙂.
Toyota needs to up their game.. The vehicles are reliable... But the features are ridiculous.
You know what's also ridiculous? The amount of eldery people who have poor motor skills due to eye, muscle, or skeletal illness. How about them hanicapped folks? Guess because something doesn't apply to you, it must be rubbish? You are forgetting that this car was made in a country FULL of old people. Stop being selfish.
If anyone is wondering, the reason why it didn’t get perfectly centered and in the spot completely is because he did not edit the space location on the ‘set parking space’ screen. The arrows allow you to edit the space’s location. The car was set to park the way it did. This can be helpful if a nearby car is parked poorly or is over the lines, or if you simply need to park in a different way than the way sees the spot.
Please do a demo on this feature to get out of a tight parallel parked situation. I've seen the Kia EV6 do this well.
I have a 2021 Prius Prime that has a similar but not quite as advanced parking assist system, I tested out a few times, but never actually used it
Nice car but if you cannot park yourself you shouldn't be driving.
You'd think if someone can figure out all these buttons and software they'd also be able to park the dang car.
Cool feature, but by the time I set it up, some jerk will probably steal my parking spot.
I’m not sure but I don’t think you have to reverse into the spot. It can go forward too so people behind you shouldn’t be able to take it.
Nice , any new feedback on the side mirror turn signals ?
Ditto
I park diagonally in perpendicular spots all the time
That’s pretty popular thing to do Johnny
Do you have to work the brake? Or is EVERYTHING done by the car?
Does it work at night???
My ’22 VW Passat has that feature. I’ve had the car over a year and never have I thought to use it, CAUSE I KNOW HOW TO PARK A DAMN CAR!!! 😂
Does Prius prime have parking sensors that beep if you get close to something? Not auto park but beeping sensors. Which levels would have it?
That's pretty cool but I'd love to see the LE trim of this car... it seems to not exist... And it's the one that gets the best fuel mileage.
There is an LE trim for the 23 Prius.
@@MattCC16Gaming No I'm trying to say it exists on paper but literally no coverage or reviews of it are on UA-cam yet only the top trim... Yet to see any review or anybody get their hands on the base model
@@swissmrkc oh I see, yeah that’s pretty typical when a designed car comes out. Usually higher trims are reviewed first. Eventually you will likely see videos on it. It’s on Toyotas site though so the specs and looks are on there.
WATCH OUT TESLA U GOT DONE COMPETITION but seriously how did a prius park better then a tesla by its self
Very cool. Many New Yorkers still can't parallel park. Is your car a hybrid?
Can it also crash the car if I ever badmouth Toyota, just like the robot taxi from total recall?
Toyota already has it’s fair share of haters. The owners of all competing brands!
Jeff, is there a car wash mode for my 2023 Prius XLE? The dealer mentioned to turn off something. I forgot and now that I bought the car - they don't return my calls? Ugh!!
I'm trying to built a prius with those feature but it doesn't have the options.
what is the difference between front and rear parking assist and advanced park?
That display in front of the steering wheel is hideous.
Nice, finally women will be able to park a car!!!
WHY isn't this on all toyota's?
