Does this have the same power terrain as the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid which is supposed to be introduced too in the future here in North America? If that's the case, only a few will buy this Prius as people want an SUV like cars these days. Maybe the release of 2023 Prius is the reason why the Corolla Cross Hybrid hasn't been introduced yet.
I'm disappointed that they are not bringing the yellow to the US market in 2023. A green would be nice, too. Of those shown, Guardian gray and the Reservoir blue were the nicest I think
Also agree that yellow is a great option. Guess because of limited production, Toyota thinks priority should be Germany😀. Just made a deposit on a Supersonic Red Prime. Only other dealership near my area was getting a black in my preferred trim. That's my least favorite. Had a black car once, it's a magnet for dirt and door dings.
Each time a Prius of each color appears! 0:00 Guardian Gray 1:01 Reservoir Blue 1:40 Cutting Edge 1:55 Guardian Gray (in background) 2:25 Midnight Black Metallic 2:48 Cutting Edge, Reservoir Blue (both in background) 2:56 Wind Chill Pearl 3:02 Supersonic Red (in background) 3:51 Supersonic Red 4:02 Wind Chill Pearl (in background) 4:22 Reservoir Blue 4:27 Guardian Gray Thanks Jeff and Nicky!
What colors do you guys most prefer? From best to worst imho, Guardian Gray, Wind Chill Pearl, Midnight Black, Cutting Edge, Supersonic Red, and finally, Reservoir Blue. Cutting Edge is really up there, but the last three feel like they blend in with traffic, ironically enough. Top three have strong contrast, but the Gray is luxurious.
I just bought a 2024 priuse xse premium in Reservoir blue. I was able to get my favorite color despite the lack of inventory after the recall. 1. blue 2. Red 3 silver 4. Black 5. White 6. Grey
Cutting Edge, Windchill Pearl, and Guardian Gray in that order would be my choices for purchasing or leasing. Reservoir Blue and Midnight Metallic are nice as well. I've noticed that a power moonroof is not being included as an option in any trim level. Otherwise, Toyota seems to have knocked it out of the park with this new Prius.
My first choice is silver ( cutting edge) , 2nd choice is Guardian grey , then3rd choice is Blue , 4th choice is supersonic red , 5th choice is windchill pearl white then last is black
Definitely black, the touches of grey/silver accents and rims. Plus the red gives it a robocob future vibes. I’m be throwing a body kit & air suspension to really make the Prius look good!
Can anyone explain the real reason Toyota is so afraid of color? Some people think it's the dealers putting pressure on the distributors (like Gulf States Toyota) to only offer the boring colors so they won't have a car sit on their lot for more than a few days. If it's true the dealers do that, I say they are full of crap. We re not talking pink or purple here. All we want to see is more of the spectrum. Plus if they are so afraid of having a car sit for five days on their lot, then order fewer of the non-boring colors - how hard would that be morons? Maybe a yellow, a gray green (RAV4 Lunar Rock), orange (GR86 Solar Shift), maybe a metallic green (like some of the greens offered by VW, Audi, Porsche), a cornflower blue (VW GTI), a light blue (Bronco Robins Egg) etc. I will say Guardian Gray looks pretty good - need to see it in person. But really Toyota will keep doing this unless we complain to them. I have complained to them and Gulf States Toyota. Toyota corporate responded with mealy mouthed doublespeak. I just wrote to GST so we'll see what they say, if anything. If it really is the dealers causing this plague of boring colors, then that's just another reason to hate them for finding yet another way to screw us over. Toyota (and other manufacturers) need to give us the option of ordering cars in a whole range of colors and let us wait, even if it's months, so we can get what we really want instead of settling for mediocracy. With modern painting tech, this would be pretty straightforward to implement.
I ordered a guardian grey limited a few months ago, just about to see it in person for the first time next week.. This video made me extra excited because it does stand out. In my heart I wanted to spend the extra $500 on the badass red, but red doesn't suit me. I think I'll be happy with that beautiful grey. The 19" wheels though on a Prius, who would've thought the day would come, when a Prius is actually sexy
You are gonna love it I just bought mine three days ago over 1500 MSRP from Carson Toyota limited in cutting edge is my third Prius with this when I'm very happy and proud about unlike the other two amazing vehicle
@T R I took a lot of advice from my Uncle who.. When that man gives advise, it's wise to listen to it. Was going to get the AWD, but personally I didn't NEED it. I finally got the car and it's incredibly awesome.. Today just hit over 100 miles and the gas gauge is just a few pixels under a full tank. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how big of a difference it would be for your electric bill to charge it, or how often the Prime would need to charge since I didn't look into it. But it looks like I'll only need to fill mine up once a month, if that. The EV mode switches on much faster than earlier models, that's for sure. I absolutely love it. There is so much to compliment on. And man the grey color that I'd never seen before.. Looks way better in person. And just can't get over the 19" rims, even though the low profile tires will be expensive to replace.
I've had a 2010 blizard pearl that I've liked. Looking at getting a 2023 Prius Prime. White and grays are nice. I've made a deposit on Supersonic Red because it was the car becoming available in my area that also really looks nice. Black is the one that's dead last for me: dead with curves, and accentuates dirt.
Blue and red are my favorites. I'm not sure the red is worth the extra cost, but red with black interior would be very nice. I'm wondering if I could do black interior with the blue. I think it's a light enough blue that it wouldn't be weird. What do you think?
there all really great colors i love them all but if i has to rank them i say 1 supersonic red 2 resevior blue 3. chill pearl white 4. cutting ege 5 midnight black 6. guardian gray
1. Maximum yellow! (I'm a Canadian, I can say that) 2. Reservoir Blue 3. Cutting Edge 4. Supersonic Red 5. Guardian Grey 6. Midnight Black Metallic 7. Wind Chill Pearl That being said, each of these looks quite gorgeous in their own right. The black looks really very good on the models of Prius with the 17 inch alloys and covers, makes them really nice and sleek-looking, even more than usual.
I think the blue color looks way off in this video because of the sunset. Every other video I've seen with the blue 2023 prius looks way darker and looks generally much better than it looks here. Would have been better to show these all in more normal lighting conditions
I will wait for the mid-model refresh to run by the end of 2026. They should have worked out any bugs that may develop along the way, and offer additional colors, like shades of gold, green, and orange.
White is too "Tesla" and black just makes body lines and contrasting trim disappear. Guardian and Cutting Edge are the most elegant colors. Blue/Red/Black will be for someone's unique taste.
My thoughts after having seen every color on the road: White: The design is clearly legible and looks great in person. Red: Also looks great, very eye catching and sporty. The black elements contrast well with the red parts. Silver: Ok, but the angular design comes off as a little boring and generically "futuristic." Blue: Not bad, but the design starts getting lost in the darkness. Gray: Same as blue, but worse because it's a pasty gray. Black: Murky and flat. The contours aren't bold enough for black, there isn't enough relief or contrast between high and low points. Colors I would have liked to see: Forest green Light metallic blue Root beer brown Mustard yellow
We have a 24 Prime (after a 21 month wait!). Had ordered a red one but what arrived was Windchill Pearl. Once we saw the colour in person we much preferred it over the red paint. It was almost a month before I took a really close-up look (you know, 3" away sort of thing), at the colour on a bright day. This car is not white, it really has a pearl finish. And, like the red version, costs an extra $600 in Canada. You are correct; the pearl coat does highlight the body the best. Every third car the passes us in the opposite direction has their brake lights on, trying to figure out what exotic just went by. The 23-24 Pius's are extremely rare here still. Besides that, we are getting unreal milage. I have driven 91Km (over 56m), in EV Mode and seen 62+mpg highway in hybrid mode. Pays to order the 17" wheels.
I guess those could be the exclusive TRD Pro colors for the coming years with different name since we see it in the past with colors like "Sea Glass Pearl", "Electric Storm Blue", "Electric Lime Metallic", "Tangerine Splash Pearl". I would love to see that "Guardian Grey" color renamed on a 4Runner TRD Pro.
FOR ALL previous, current, future Prius owners, if you get a Prius, make sure its version has spare tire! I am currently owner of 2015 Prius Plug-in and I purchased a spare tire 3 years ago and never thought I would have used it. Today, I used it because my tire got punctured and I was lucky enough to get back on road to go to a nearby shop to replace the new pair of tires! (Where did I put my spare tire if there is no space, I put it back in the trunk - of course :) ) Good luck everyone, yes new 2023 Prius looks very attractive but I would buy the LE version since it has spare tire!
I was initially leaning towards the Blue based on the color shown on Toyota's website. But they sorely misrepresent it there. Red for sure is my color. Though we'll see if there is any special color for the Prime
Yes i got grey wich does shine under the sun like gold flake metallic in it, but the blue i saw only oand and it didnt look like this, looked like more tesla blue
I have some questions: Which school did you study in, and who was your mathematics teacher? How did you count those six colors?! What kind of calculator did you use to calculate this equation that made you count the colors as six, not five?
Actually no. We get the same sunsets where we live as our town sits 500 miles off the coast of NA. Sunsets are vivid. But, we have an added benefit, there's nothing but ocean to our East until you hit Europe, so, the sunrises are also very colourful. So, if we're up for a long day, we can see the colours of our 2024 Windchill Pearl change-up twice a day. BTW, the Pearl colour is not white. It took a month before I took a very close-up look at the paint. It is really pearl.
I like the white most, followed by silver, then black. I hate the grey and blue! The grey looks like primer paint with a gloss over it! When will Toyota come out with a cool metallic cherry red, and a metallic silver with a bluish tinge, metallic bronze?
I've always been surprised how many silver and gray cars are on the road. To me these colors are depressing because of gray cloudy weather that goes on and on. white is too contrasty with the black trim. Black isn't contrasty enough. Blue is a FORD color. So that leaves the supersonic red and that's what I ordered 5 months ago.
I ordered Cutting Edge at the dealership in town recently (Canton, Ohio) Interesting thing though...Is the end of February, no dealerships around have one on the lot. The Cleveland car show which opened last week on Saturday 2\25 did not have one to show, and my dealership has no clue as to when mine would arrive. WTF???
Bob, we ordered our Prime last June as a22 model. Still not here in April and we were told yesterday not to expect a 2023 until next November. Seventeen month wait.
@@bobsigler2645 Hey Bob, pleased for you. Hope your expectations are all confirmed. Truth be told, my wife and me have yet to even actually see the 23 in person ! The local Toyota dealership is one of the biggest in Canada and even so, they can't access this car readily. A long wait to be sure, but, the one bonus is, it means ours will be the so much more attractive 23 model. In fact, it may well be a 24 vintage. That might mean the front plate "lump" (which is useless here as we only use a back plate in these parts), can be corrected. This will be out third Prius. Due to our situation we'll have to use very, very little gas. Kind Regards from Newfoundland
@@thomaslawlor4200 Hi Bob, thought I'd update you; our Windchill Pearl arrived last March (21 month wait). It's a 2024. Wrong colour, we'd asked for a red one. But once we saw the Pearl colour in person we were completely sold. It's not white, it really has a pearl finish. Colour aside, the milage surpasses what we'd hoped for. I have gone 91Km (56+m), on a charge. Got 62+mpg on our first road trip.
only problem it now takes 8 months to get your Prius! I ordered mine over 2 mos ago. Dealer can't tell me when they will get to the states!! Chip and rare earth supply issues. :( not happy emoji
Everyone thank Nicky from Toyota USA for helping out! RANK your favorite colors from 1st to 6th. Thanks! Jeff
Jeff, I think bronze is the best colour for hiding dirt.
Thanks, Nicky! hope you got some good Mexican food during your visit!
No Prius lineup would be complete without Sea Glass Pearl
Does this have the same power terrain as the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid which is supposed to be introduced too in the future here in North America? If that's the case, only a few will buy this Prius as people want an SUV like cars these days. Maybe the release of 2023 Prius is the reason why the Corolla Cross Hybrid hasn't been introduced yet.

I'm disappointed that they are not bringing the yellow to the US market in 2023.
A green would be nice, too.
Of those shown, Guardian gray and the Reservoir blue were the nicest I think
Maybe the yellow is Prime exclusive in US market
The Guardian Grey looks so much better in person, I can say it's almost shark-like with the flat color and all the dark accents.
I’m between Guardian grey and the blue also!

I like the blue. I hate the primer, i mean gray.
Blue is my number one choice because my current 13 year old Prius is blue. But I am really loving the Guardian Gray as well.
My last Prius was blue which is why I was going to rule out blue this time. Too funny!
Silver is outstanding, shows off the lines of the body best
I hope you enjoyed your visit to San Diego! personally, I'm partial to Wind Chill Pearl, especially in our warm climate.

Silver, Black, Red, White, Gray, Dark Gray.
I say I wanted yellow but I know the dealer freaked out about it I bet . I say that dark gray the sliver then the blue. Then white then red.
My thoughts after having seen every color on the road:
White: The design is clearly legible and looks great in person.
Red: Also looks great, very eye catching and sporty. The black elements contrast well with the red parts.
Silver: Ok, but the angular design comes off as a little boring and generically "futuristic."
Blue: Not bad, but the design starts getting lost in the darkness.
Gray: Same as blue, but worse because it's a pasty gray.
Black: Murky and flat. The contours aren't bold enough for black, there isn't enough relief or contrast between high and low points.
Colors I would have liked to see:
Forest green
Light metallic blue
Root beer brown
Mustard yellow

FOR ALL previous, current, future Prius owners, if you get a Prius, make sure its version has spare tire!

I picked it up last Friday and it is gorgeous. Maybe you just have to wine about it online like I did!
Guardian gray for me.
I was going to pull the trigger on this when I saw the YELLOW one... guess we don't get that in the US market because we hate certain colors...
only problem it now takes 8 months to get your Prius! I ordered mine over 2 mos ago. Dealer can't tell me when they will get to the states!! Chip and rare earth supply issues. :( not happy emoji
That blue one looks like it’s been through the car wash for 3 years! So many swirl marks!
