- I like the original live version from The Foo Fighters and Roger Waters on the Jimmy Fallon show but i missed the Stuka bomber at the end as in the original from Pink Floyd so i added it myself ;)
This performance was put together by the folks at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, as part of "Pink Floyd week" in September 2011, every day that week

Want to make a point.. I posted this in remembrance of Taylor Hawkins and i added the Stuka sound as i missed that on this performance. Also for my love for The Foo Fighters & Pink Floyd ❤
Sadly i see some bad reactions with hatred against Roger or The Foo fighters..
Also people saying Roger left some of the lyrics away?? They are the exact same lyrics as in the movie The Wall.. So start watching and listening before talking.

I got to see Roger at the Gorge Amphitheater back in like 99. They flew a 737 on cue ... over the audience starting the show with In The Flesh. Incredible show!
So I probably celebrated a bit too much in the camp ground before that show, and maybe I should have passed on that brownie another camper offered. I'm pretty sure I was so mind blown by that flyby at the start that I missed the entire song with my back to the stage looking at where that plane went because I couldn't believe I just saw what I saw. 😂
Saw that same show in Montreal, I was 18 and high as fuck on mushrooms. Blew my mind wide open

I saw Pink Floyd at the Rose Bowl in the 90s and my buddy and I were late parking our car on the golf course adjacent and were running to the concert as the song "Run Like Hell" is playing and we start singing "Run Run Run Run..." and my friend almost collapses from laughing himself out of breath.

I stand fully behind Roger Waters, but I only like maybe three songs by the Foo Fighters. That being said, this performance blew me away. @@67Pepper

I got lucky to win tickets in the Los Angeles KMET 94 .7 radio drawing to see "The Wall" performed live in 1980. SPECTACULAR just doesn't seem to adequately describe this EVENT!! Pink Floyd only staged this extravaganza in London, New York and Los Angeles and I was there! AMAZING? YES. PERIOD.
Yeah I was at the Sports Arena for that one, spectacular show and somehow ended up in the 13th row.

@David_Solyom Hate to say it but he’s right. musicians post 1990 have never really captured the same talent and power as the guitar gods of the 60’s and 70’s such as Gilmour, Hendrix, Pagey, Garcia, Zappa etc.

A little generic sounding but still quite well done. As an old fart I am clutching at anything attempting to keep progressive /space/psychedelic rock music alive. It was really quite a time and the live shows back then were seriously moving experiences.
you need to check out Slift then, they are flying that flag way high.
By the time PF made The Wall, Roger Waters had already ended their progressive/space/psychedelic soul.

I'm not a Foo Fighters fan and I love Roger Waters music and lyrics, not so much his personal issues. This is a blast to listen to. A home run of a one off performance. Bravo.

The drums are too splashy and thin. They need to boom more. The guitar's distortion sounds flat, digital and compressed to heck. There's a lot they could have done to make this performance much more powerful. Felt like they were having fun, but just kind frivolously going through the motions of playing the track rather than really meaning every note and word of it.
Real talk. Having a reasonable knowledge of wartime aviation, the sexiest of all time and the GOAT is the Stuka. The scream terrified the people on the ground even before it unloaded it's cargo of death. This is a great video too. ❤ Roger Waters.

The Foo Fighters have played with so many legends… It’s great to see Dave Grohl, just in the moment, enjoying every second of it along with the rest of the band… Playing one of the most recognizable rock songs of all time. What a priceless moment for them.

Saw roger waters two years ago in Denver! Was such a great concert. Wish the remainders of the original members could figure out a way to get together. Really need a Pink Floyd tour w/Roger.
They are too old to sustain physically a world tour...Average age among the remaining former members 80...Then they don't get along anymore
I saw Pink Floyd, minus Waters, in the mid -'90s in Vancouver B.C. It was an absolutely fantastic show and nothing I saw before or after has compared to it.

IDK - They still sell out every seat at every show, no matter how large - with no end in sight. Nickelback came & went many years ago. Also they have far more HATERS that the Foos do LOVERS. The Foos have TONS of FANTASTIC songs!! They are NOT a "Here today - gone tomorrow" band. How long was Nickelback a KNOWN (relevant) BAND? How many albums did THEY release? How many top 10's?

You know what I don’t like, in a similar vein? It’s when they perform “Another Brick in the Wall”, but they leave out the scream. I’m not asking them to do it themselves, but they could just use the recording of it. It’s a big part of the song, and it shouldn’t be left out.

I was a kid in 1980 when i got a CD player and the CD album from The Wall for my birthday.. So that Stuka sound had to be in there 😅
Meanwhile the foo fighters are playing their ass off, thinking holy 💩 this is the best day of my life.. this version is the beginning of the Wall show and they would burn more pyro in the song than most bands do in a entire concert.
