Im excited for new content and new ideas, I plan to play in a lot more tournaments including multiple day events. GoodGood Golf is in the process of a lot of new and exciting things. Me and Garrett (GMGOLF) are talking about how we are going to resume the Sunday Matches in 2022. Videos with Rick Shiels, Peter Finch and Bryson DeChambeau are collabs I want to do. Lets Make 2022 the best year yet - Спорт
As a Michigander, I can confirm that 90% of Michigan courses have those pure greens. The wildlife is off the charts (especially in Northern Michigan).
Can confirm as a fellow Michigander
Yea even the cheap bent grass Michigan uses is pure
what kind of wildlife?
@@angterrana deer that do doe jobs 😂
@@angterrana A lot of deer! You’ll see wolves, foxes, and various birds chirping their little beaks off
If you’re in Michigan you need to play forest dunes and Arcadia bluffs.
He’s right
Or Legacy?!
Big agree
When I heard he was coming to Michigan I thought there was no way he wouldn’t be playing it lol
Try Kingsley Club if you can get in too.
People who don’t know Michigan don’t know the beauty it holds
Especially north of Grand Rapids. Amazing.
@@nigelio3 Student at Ferris State here. The courses in my area will make you salivate, whether it be a course in the middle of the woods with the tall pines all around you, or a links style track with heather and farmland that shines like gold in the early morning and evening, north LP Michigan golf is PRIMO.
Greywalls in Marquette during the fall when the leaves change is one of the most beautiful courses you’ll ever see, a fantastic view of Lake Superior you can’t go wrong
Yooper here you betcha bud beautiful
If you're touring around Michigan, you have to hit up Tree Tops, Eagle Eye/Hawk Hollow, and if you get to the UP, Grey Walls, and Sweet Grass are great courses!
Shepherds Hollow is literally one of the best courses in Michigan! You must play it when you come back!
Couldn’t agree more!!! My man hit it on the dot hands down best course in Michigan that isn’t up north close to the UP
@@tykilar9032 idk I think the orchards would give it a run for it’s money
I love that you guys post so frequently. I'm obsessed with your videos. I'm subbed to Good Good and all the guys separate channels and I never seem to get tired of any of the content. Just great stuff all around!
The Dream and The Nightmare courses in Michigan are too nice of a back to back golf trip.
Yes they are. 45 minutes from me
Loved the nightmare
Love both of those, so much fun. It’s crazy how much of a blessing it is to live in Michigan with how many amazing golf courses there are!
I live in West Branch...play both of them regularly and often think it would be AWESOME if GoodGood would visit!
Another set of pure courses
PLAY ARCHADIA BLUFFS, its literally the best course ive ever played and trust me I have played a LOT of courses, and you need to play arcadia bluffs!!!!!!!!!!
Agree!
arcadia’s strict with filming that’s why foreplay didn’t go there during their travel series but it would be sick if he could
Harbor shores in Benton Harbor, the Ravines in saugatuck, chase Hammond in muskegon Arcadia bluffs in Arcadia and MOST of the courses anywhere in Traverse city and treetops in Gaylord are all must visits
Pilgrims Run in Pierson, MI is definitely Michigan’s best “hidden gem” course. I’d love to see you play there Micah!
good stuff love to see you explain things how they are. helps people understand the game and to play it. good vibes.
Love the Cinematography! So satisfying! Keep the grind up and the shot tracers rolling TIG!
Southern Michigan has great courses too. Especially The orchards Golf Club in Washington TWP
Love this course! Michigan has the best courses man
Michigan does have the best courses
Micah I love all of the content you have been putting out! I especially love seeing you playing in my home state of Michigan! Some other great courses I think y’all would really enjoy playing is Bucks Run in Mount Pleasant ( 20 mins from me so if you ever make it there and want a random 1v1 challenge….. then I’m not that golfer, but we could just have some fun hitting those sticks 😂) another amazing spot is in northern Michigan at Tree Tops! My buddies and I get group golfers up there and stay for 3 days and golf 2 or 3 of their courses and every one of their courses are amazingly awesome! Keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to your future in the sport!
Thanks for highlighting one of Michigan's hidden gems. I had the good fortune to play Bella Vista a couple of weeks ago and it was in fantastic condition especially the greens. A big shout out to owner Ron Cary and his crew.
I’m from Michigan, so many pure courses, but just some of my favorites here:
- Treetops (all of them)
- Arcadia bluffs
- Forest Dunes / The Loop
- Stoatin Brae
- Bucks run
Treetops would be so sick for Good Good week
Also Bay Harbor, The Legend (an Arnold Palmer course), and Hawks Eye Run (just a few miles from the Legend)
Greywalls up in Marquette
Bucks run is a really really pure course
Katie is legend on the camera. Micah is legend with the stick. I got a 2i just to see if I could hit it. Absolute stripe show. Hitting farther and placing better than my buddies using driver. Keep up the good content!
What you get? I have the titleist u500 and its my favorite tee club when my driver takes a deuce
I got a used 21⁰ Callaway x forged 18 and I love that thing. Wish I'd held out for a lower loft but it was all they had in the specs I needed and it's doing the job thus far.
I got the Titleist T MB 718. Brand new. Also have Srixon ZU85 3i and 4i. Love all of my babies.
Michigan IS golf's best kept secret! So many amazing courses
Michigan definitely has some of the best courses and are great to play June-September.
I’m a big fan of grass myself and it is perfect in Michigan compared to Other states.
I would recommend hitting up the metro Detroit area and playing Pine Knob and Shepard’s hollow in Clarkston; Fieldstone in Auburn hills; Sanctuary lakes and Cherry creek around Utica.
Top courses in Michigan that won’t break the bank:
shepherds hollow in clarkston
The orchards in Romeo
Bucks Run in mt pleasant
Greystone in Romeo
Otsego Club in Gaylord
Crooked Tree in Petosky
Welcome to Michigan!
so pumped to see a michigan course. hope you enjoyed your visit.
I am so excited to watch your journey man! Its like you flipped a switch when you decided to go pro and your whole demeanor changed! Let's Go!
Island Hills in Centreville and Angels Crossing in Vicksburg are a couple of my favorites!! Not to far from Coldwater, 18 holes on me when you come play them Micah!
I just mentioned the same two before I saw this! Absolutely spot on
Arcadia bluffs. You MUST play, I’d actually like to see how low you or any of the good good guys go. There are some other great courses in southeast Michigan too. Legacy, Carrington, as well as a lot of nice ones in the Ann Arbor area.
I play carrington 3 times a week. Best course in Michigan for 25$ legacy too can not beat there prices. Pierce lake another nice gem.
My wife and I just played 9 here over the weekend. Loved everything about this course. Wouldn’t have known this course existed if it wasn’t for this video. We’ve got a place locally around coldwater. Would love to get back out here for 18
Welcome to Michigan, I am glad you enjoyed your time here!
You should definitely come play Calderone in Jackson MI. It is absolutely PURE. There are a lot of lovely courses here, I absolutely suggest a little tour of the Michigan courses.
If you dont mind dropping a couple more courses near jackson I’d appreciate it. I’ve never golfed there but its right in between my buddys school and my school so we want to meet up for some rounds there
@@Teezzer13 Sure! The courses that I would recommend apart from Calderone are the Grande Golf club (absolutely phenomenal, but very difficult, especially the back 9, probably my favorite course), Cascades (also pretty difficult, but beautiful and well made), Ella Sharp Park (pretty easy, but a good public course), Hill's Heart of the Lakes (pretty difficult, a shot makers course, but well kept), Gauss's Green Valley (a hidden gem honestly, well made course, middle of the road difficulty), Arbor Hills( I have only played there once or twice but it was great as far as I remember), and finally Clark Lake Golf Course( if you are looking for a perfect course for the casual player, this is the course for you, not too difficult and short, but well maintained compared to how busy it is, and nobody takes it too serious). Hope this helps!
@@_KingRaz Wow thanks man, I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out.
Literally just played here today!! Wish I knew you were in the area!
I’m kicking myself in the butt just knowing he’s in Michigan today, let alone you playing the same course hours after him. Sheesh I’d be upset!
Two really good courses in Michigan that I’ve played are Eagle Glen (Clare) and the Fortress (Frankenmuth). Not very long courses but they have very tricky greens with a lot of dimension and big slopes. The heather glows golden at sunset as well. Absolutely breathtaking, and so are those mid-Michigan pines. Planning on playing Cedar Chase and Pilgrim’s Run soon when I move back to the west side of the state.
Love the content!!! Best of luck going pro Tig!
I really recommend the Nightmare and the Dream in west branch. Both courses are beautiful.
"Just right".... "depends on what side of the hole you are on"... this is a simply amazing statement! LMFAO! Micah is the best!
great video! I loved the chill vibe of man vs. the course
I live in southeast michigan, right on lake st clair and its true, michigan has some incredible courses. Rattle run is a local favorite, but micah you HAVE to golf in northern michigan. Treetops, Arcadia bluffs. There is truly world class golf to be had here.
Micah,
You cant go wrong there are so many nice courses. Id recommend staying around the ludington or grand haven area. From there you could play manistee, arcadia, and a bunch of other courses. You could even take the ferry to wisconsin and play whistling straits from there. Enjoy!
And American dunes out in grand haven
How is Manistee National? I'm thinking of playing there next week.
They have two courses out there. The retreat is ok (nothing special), but the revenge is legit. From the tips it'll challenge you and I would recommend it! But obviously if youre willing to shell out the money Id go for arcadia
American Dunes in Grand Haven. My hometown. Jack Nicklaus designed the course and it finally opened back up this year after the course redesign. There was over 11,000 tee times booked before it even opened.
Jack Not Arnold
@@bbandy8705 ah yes I don’t know why I said Arnold. Thnks for the heads up on that! 😅
Agreed, American Dunes is Amazing!
Awesome to watch you play there!
I didn't realize how nice Michigan courses are until I finally moved away after college. The season isn't long, but when it is finally in season, we definitely have great courses. Especially!!! for the cost, Michigan golf is so inexpensive.
Coldwater!!! Used to drive through there on my way to Kalamazoo. Had no idea this was here!
Medalist in Marshall, MI. Super beautiful course w amazing greens. Cut and watered every single day. I work on the grounds crew. Super pure course.
Lol leave driver at home. Love that course though!
I played the medalist many years ago and I was very impressed. We did a guys trip and I also remember a course named Yarrow, it was amazing but unfortunately it closed down.
Thank you for featuring a Michigan course on your channel!
Michigan is known for it's many great golf courses. I think you'll have to travel up through Traverse City and Harbor bay and then back down to the plethora of courses surrounding the Detroit area. Plenty of championship golf.
Arcadia Bluffs, Tullymore, The Bear, and Bay Harbor are really nice courses in MI
What about Greywalls?
Sundance at A-Ga-Ming and Arcadia Bluffs are must plays in Michigan
Micah, I don’t live in Michigan but my friends and I take a trip out to shanty creek resorts every year cause cedar river and the legend are amazing courses. Cedar river is our favorite course we have played.
Micah, I’ve been in Lansing for about five months. I haven’t actually had been able to play yet, but there are several courses in the Greater Lansing area I’m excited to play. I would definitely recommend checking them out from what I’ve seen, and we have a ton of wildlife here. At the church I pastor, we have deer and turkeys all the time, and I’m a mile from the Lansing city limits.
I co-pastor a church in Hastings and live in Lansing! If you haven’t already found them, some budge-friendly options that are really nice are Indian Hills in Okemos, Bonneyview in Eaton Rapids, and Ledge Meadows in Grand Ledge
Micah go play at Schuss Shanty creek resort!! It has 5 courses!! Bellaire MI
Hawks Eye and Legend are absolute top tier. The Chief is also phenomenal (not part of the resort courses, but incredibly challenging.
Pilgrims Run is a MUST for Michigan!!!
Easy top 5 on courses.
100% agree. Best course in MI imo. Used to work there too on course maintenance team
Those greens were something else! Beautiful. A far cry from the "Cow Pasture" at Frisco Lakes! Lolol
this is just one of MANY amazing courses up here in Michigan. if you go north of Grand Rapids its like heaven for a golf lover. love to see you here in the Mitten!
On that par 5 that went OB. That is hitting 4 not three. If you hit from the tee box again, it would be hitting 3. But because you dropped at the point of entry instead of a previsional, it is 4.
He played it as a hazard he said that...
ok Joshua thank you for your help, it is really appreciated
@@alecgoosse I’m gonna have to call a rules official. Next time he should too. 😂😂
Legacy by Arthur Hills golf club in Ottawa Lake Michigan. Awesome links style course.
Great vid Micah! If you’re ever in Mount Pleasant area, Buck’s Run and Pohlcat are two great courses!
My two-year-old son loves your videos. He will literally stop whatever he is doing to watch them and gets very excited when I tell him you have a new one uploaded. Really appreciate content that is completely safe for my kids to watch. Entirely on his own, he started calling his stuffed tiger "Tig" 😂
If you're ever on your way back to KC from Dallas, Peoria Ridge Golf Course is literally JUST off I-44. You should stop in and we can play a round.
Pilgrims run golf course is one of my favorites
Arcadia Bluffs and Black Lake. If you’re in Ohio hit me up for a match brother!!
Nice play, what a beautiful golf course.
Truly one of my favorite courses man!
Gotta come play Moose Ridge. One of the nicest courses in Michigan!
I love moose ridge. And the coyote preserves. Probably my two favorite.
I went to this course a while ago and my girlfriend lives in coldwater. 😂 You should come to the detroit area, there’s a lot of great courses around there too. Eagle Crest in Ypsilanti is the best I’ve been to around there.
Eagle crest is great. Also Northville hills, University of Michigan course, MooseRidge. And so many more to name. Love Michigan!
My man!! Great video brother.
The courses listed are all awesome plus the ones other people said are fantastic in addition....
- Carrington Golf Club
- Legacy Golf Course
- The Grande
- American Dunes (New)
- The majestic
- Coyote Preserve
- Moose Ridge Golf Course
- Devils Lake
- Woodlawn Golf Course
- The Bear / The Wolverine Resort courses.
- I agree about the Dream and Nightmare Courses!
- Treetops Golf Resort
- Giant Oak Golf Course
Just to name a few.....
Come back to Michigan I will show you around my friend. Any time!
Was just in michigan a few weeks ago and played 2 muni courses and their greens were stellar it was crazy
You should do a video with a tour caddie on your bag. See how that improves your game to help your journey to being a pro.
Gotta come more north and play. Scenery up in the traverse city and Boyne area are amazing and the courses are phenomenal
Huge props seeing you show some love to Michigan, here's some recommendations:
West side of the state:
Harbor Shores
The Dunes Club
American Dunes
Arcadia Bluffs (both courses - Bluffs course for the views, South course for the design)
Middle / Northern end of the state:
Forest Dunes (loop both directions + forest dunes main course)
Eagle Eye + Hawk Hollow
Treetops Resort
Locenheath Golf Club
Grand Traverse Resort
Hidden River Golf and Casting Club
Kingsley Club (private, the absolute best course in the state in my opinion)
Bay Harbor GC
East Side of the state:
Shepherd's Hollow
St. Clair Golf Club (i'm a member here, happy to accommodate)
Indianwood CC (old course)
TPC Dearborn
You won’t find more pure greens than tpc Dearborn.
If you come back to michigan, go the west side and play Egypt valley and Thousand Oaks. Egypt valley hosted the 2010 U.S. junior amateur
Treetops is another amazing course!
Mannnn, I live literally 15mins from this course!! I wish I would of known you were playing there!
@Landon Cooney I had to replay it back to make sure I heard it right when he said he was in Coldwater lol. I totally would of called into work sick for the day 😂
Go a half hour south and play Glendarin hills in angola, Indiana. Best public course I've played in the area, also if your around for the weekend, would def meet you for a round.
@@zachschnetzler5700 I also like Glendarin as well. I've been wanting to try out Trines golf course but haven't made it out there yet.
@@undefinedglory6661 I grew up playing Zollner and love it also, its a lot easier than glendarin but definitely a nice course. Are you from the area?
Keep up this great content... love getting inside your head while playing.
Hey Micah first of all huge fan and im a michigan native love plying golf in this state. Just a few recommendations for consideration: the bear in traverse city, forrest dunes in roscommon, tree tops in traverse city area. All of these are further borth than coldwater if ur looking just in tht area look into any of the gull lake courses its a resort and they are all very nice especially stoatin brae links course. Hope to see more vids of u in my home state!!!!
The Medalist (Marshall, Mi) is once a month like clockwork for my squad.
Got on just to say this. Fantastic course, and so beautiful.
Let’s goooo Micah! Can’t wait to watch you become the most popular on pro. “Micah Morris… UA-cam sensation and PGA Tour Pro”
i live in wisconsin but every year me and my buddies make a trip to boyne highlands. they have some amazing courses at that resort with the Heathers being one of the top rated not only in michigan but the U.S. as a public course.
If you're still in Michigan, come over to Grand Rapids and play Indian Trail with me! It's a SUPER easy course to shoot par on since it's absurdly short (and no par 5s), but if you want to practice being aggressive with approach shots, it's GREAT.
If you're looking for more scenic courses, check out anything in the northern part of the Lower Peninsula. You basically can't go wrong, especially if you come out in the summer/fall.
Scott Lake is a gorgeous golf course as well. Wouldn't wanna live anywhere else. Michigan is forever the best 🙂
Facts
Come to Shelby township Michigan and play “ the orchards” golf course! Hit me up because I would love to do a scramble with you! Congrats on going pro!
Extremely overrated course.
Such a pure track!
I go back to this video from time to time just to admire the intro. It’s absolute perfection and we’re blessed to witness it
Solid 9. Looking forward to your game improving even more. Road to pro, baby!
Man I would’ve loved playing a round with you there I don’t live too far away from that course! I like Island Hills Golf Club in Centreville Michigan in my opinion
I was able to play that course for the first time this year and I loved it. I live about 15 minutes from it.
Island hills is beautiful
@@cartergeigley3099 I agree it has some very cool holes but can be challenging
@@korymilhollin4192 heck yeah! I love the layout of it and especially number 17 the par 3!
The intro triggers me so much seeing a flag rather than a „Tee“ between Micah „T.“ Morris... 😤
Yes, play Arcadia Bluffs! Beautiful views overlooking Lake Michigan. Was out there august 17th. Would love to see a video of you playing there.
Micah, loved the video the other day where your coach broke down your swing a bit. I think I can speak for a lot of us that we would love to have swings similar to yours. Any chance you can put up another similar one where you discuss any tips, or feels you have when swinging the club or practicing?
15 minutes from where i live would be awesome to meet you!...glad your enjoying it up here
I'm with you 100% I'm from northern Michigan. I
support you pal.
my favorite type of vids.... just pure golf
Dude that’s like 20 minutes from me! That’s awesome, thanks for showing off the golf around here. If you go west towards Lake Michigan, there is Lake Michigan Hills which is a pretty nice course to golf on.
Up North michigan is littered with great golf. Great Resorts with multiple courses include Forest Dunes, Arcadia Bluffs, Grand Traverse Resort, Treetops Resort(most famous par3 course in America), Additional courses that I’ve played in the northern part of the state are fantastic are Lochenheath(my personal favorite and the most challenging public course in the state in my opinion, also has great lake michigan views), Black Lake Golf Club, and Garland Resort
Shepherd's Hollow and Fieldstone are a couple nice courses in south east Michigan. It's hard to drive very far in Michigan without running across a nice course.
so many good ones! cant wait to play you soon!
Arcadia Bluffs, Greywalls, and Tulleymore are awesome courses here 👊🏼
I live just north of Grand Rapids. Pilgrim's Run is a great course in Michigan. Especially in the fall when the colors are changing on the trees.
Love that your in Michigan man 💪🏻💪🏻
Grosse Isle country club, Garland golf club, red hawk, the dream and the nightmare golf courses. Some of my favorites.
An amazing course to play at is Stoatin Brae. The highest elevation area in southwest Michigan. Named 2021 National Golf course of the year.
Dude! I was just there last week! I’ve played it 100 times (used to be called The Blackberry Patch)… it’s a great course… play the tips, it’s fun… (You might also like Zollner in Angola, IN - easier course but fun)… I just go out there for the summer every year for golf… the grass is luscious
I live in the Detroit area! Good to know you showed up! My profile pic was literally the clouds above good ol' MI. Love your content man!
If you're ever gonna live again, live in Michigan!
Ayy! Stoked to see you out here in the mitten!
I live in Michigan and bay harbor or harbor point are must plays on Lake Michigan for sure! Beautiful courses
