The fact that cigarettes are still allowed to be sold tells you all you need to know about whether the FDA is actually regulating dangerous chemicals that people are selling for you to put into body or not. They are not.

    • @Losprimal
      @Losprimal Рік тому

If cigarettes werent "allowed" to be sold theyre would just be a giant black market for them. The fda approves all the seed oils and garbage into our foods OBVIOUSLY the fda doesn't care about health, but no 3 letter tax funded agency does

Well... You are allowed to slowly kill yourself by poisoning if you want to. But people selling you the mean to do so have to tell outright that is what their products does.
It's what cigarette is all about 🤷
You can freely poison yourself with coca cola if you want, no agency will or should rly care, that on you.
That being said, is vaping properly regulated (is the danger of it made clear)? Certainly not

Well, do you think they should also stop selling soda? That kills more than cigarettes. Even if you don't believe it does, it still kills and is 100% known to. So why not ban everything deemed dangerous to consume? Oh yeah, because that would be stripping you of your free will. I like my free will and I'll choose to let them be sold and be smart enough myself not to drink them. Problem solved, have a good day.

I know a few years ago we were approached to build an air handler for a company that was making the vape fluid. The fluid is mostly glycol, the same stuff they use to prevent water from freezing. Our owner turned down the job on moral grounds.

I quit smoking cigs in 2021. But that’s also when I picked up vaping . I am 18 days vape free today . I can say that vaping isn’t near as bad as cigarettes… however the reason I am quitting vaping other than it being a ridiculous look on a lady , is bc I could tell it was effecting my health . I could tell when I vaped too much bc I would get wheezy and I would cough and my lungs would make a whistling noise. It also made my nose stop up and I was constantly clearing my throat. I do feel a lot better since I quit .

As a product developer in the industry I can honestly say he's right. If your country has a legal framework and a grey market, never buy cheap grey market products, be that liquids or disposables. They've been through no official testing, often have contaminated components (cheap Chinese flavour concentrates often have trace heavy metals), and are often made by people who don't understand the risks they're creating. Look at the damage done by the vitamin e acetate debacle in cannabis pens in the states as a perfect examples. Many young people ended up with the lungs of a 70 year old and I believe 1 ended up dead.
If you live in a non regulated country, pick from reputable brands legally sold in regulated countries. If vaping is a form of harm reduction (it is), do what you can to reduce as much harm as possible.
I've been vaping since 2009. Still have a clean bill of lung and cardiovascular health

Very good answer. We know it is safer than cigarettes, for example, but we do not know how much safer. Although, it is MOST LIKELY 90-99 percent safer. That's massive. Not a fact, but if the only known evidence we have points to that, that is a good sign.

When weed gets 100% legal in enough places the tobacco growers will just switch to weed and big tobacco will just sell weed products and we’ll be back to the early 1900s.

Not really, Tobacco seeds are far cheaper. Not to mention, Tobacco has a far higher profit margin, and with Tobacco being a native North American species, it tends to be a harder plant. Not to mention Tobacco has no nicotine difference between out door and indoor grown Tobacco meaning you don't have to spend nearly as much money on growing equipment. (Weed is not really economically viable to produce on an industrial level).

Thing is, damage doesn't fly under the radar like people think it does. When I smoked tobacco, I could feel the damage. It would take me weeks to get over the common cold and I would cough everyday and many other health related issues. Similarly when I eat bad food, I can feel it. With vaping I do not feel the damage. It is really difficult for me to believe that it is secretly causing more damage than, say, tobacco

I don't smoke anymore but I did for many years. I thought it was going to be safer and smell better to vape and it was cooler because the products are designed well and the devices are tech etc so that seemed appealing to switch with intent of quitting. I actually increased my use of nicotine because I was using it more often and I didn't realize it until I took walks that I was having a tough time breathing. I was a person who could go on a treadmill then smoke cigarettes no problem. Anyway i scared myself bad and threw those devices in the garbage and never went back. Then I started hearing about people dying using those with pot dabs or whatever so I will just say the problem with all of it is we can't even imagine the suffering of not being able to breathe unless we've had the wind knocked out of us or been really sick or unable to walk up a hilll in our lives so it's this area of not really knowing what we're really playing with. I finally gave up nicotine by using gum and controlled use of djarum black clove cigars which I would take like 1 inch and put it out. Everyone probably has their own methods that work for them. That worked for me and I have no intent or interest in doing it ever again. I can be right next to someone smoking and not wish for one at all. It's good. I hope anyone who wants to do it just keeps trying different things. - oh, before I switched to gum/cloves I put the vape in my glove box in winter so I would have to go outside in the cold to get it and it was so annoying that I wanted to do it less and less automatically. Nice video.
Oh yeah I tried CBD cigs as well which aren't nicotine all and are calming do you get the action of smoking without the addictive part. It's not really what you want so you start thinking it's just not that worth it anymore when you stop having the chemicals you like. It helps as a strategy for quitting.
Also, the vaping seemed to be responsible for my eyes getting puffy and I was breaking out on my jawline so I couldn't stand any of that so it had to go.
Oh yeah one more thing (🧠 dump) I can't remember the brand now but I had a lavender or lilac device with the large battery and I charged that with a jump box for car batteries that also has USB ports, it charged fast so I was happy at first until the battery exploded one day. 70 dollars down the drain on that. I had a couple of other devices in my journey before I gave it up so you do spend money even though it appears less expensive in some ways to get going. That battery thing was dangerous and I'm probably lucky it happened while I was using the thing rather than if it had combusted in my vehicle without me knowing.
