One of the most beautiful songs. When it was released in England in January 1970 it went to number 1 on the pop charts for weeks. This song won 5 Grammy awards and the album of the same name also won a Grammy. The pure beauty of the message and the voice of Art Garkunkel shine through the master work of Paul Simon, who wrote it. Even after all these years it gives me spiritual joy.

Took guitar lessons loooooooong time ago with a friend Lou Pearlman. His parents invited me over for dinner & told me to bring my guitar. When I got there, Lou introduced me to his cousin Art Garfunkel. I had no idea who he was. He tried out my guitar & signed an autograph for me that I still have. Lou later went on to form the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC.

Also, "Cecilia", "El Condor Pasa", "Me and Julio in the School Yard", "Homeward Bound", "I Am a Rock", "Scarborough Fair/Canticle" and "Bleecker Street" for starters. These two Jewish boys from Queens, NY were one (or two) of a kind!!!

This is the second reaction I have listened to by you. I loved your reactions which are very similar to my own tothese 2 songs. If you love songs with beauty and meaning, I recommend you react to some songs by queen. If you already know their masterpiece 'Bohemian Rhapsody' there are plenty more in their catalogue to choose from.... eg Love of My Life, Save Me, Somebody to Love etc. They are all written by Queen members and Sung by Freddie Mercury their vocalist. He is said to have one of the best voices in the world... although he died back in 1991. He was also a great performer, so the live versions of the songs are good to watch.
