As a new healer trying to decide what healer to play, I greatly appreciate how thoroughly these guides are put together, many thanks for all the hard work friend!
Outstanding guide. A lot of guides get way into the weeds of certain situations and spend an hour going over the spec. It's impossible to follow as someone new to the spec. You did a great job of boiling down the priorities during gameplay.
I find the real benefit of Healing Rain is that it very very rapidly builds up stacks of the tier set and does a nice, small supplemental amount of healing on top. Either on the tank or on a cluster of ranged dps + myself.
Just leveled up my shammy, perfect tutorial. I appreciate the "real world" explanation of the class/ role, most videos people just copy and paste information from online sites.
Hey! Nice guide. I'd like to add that players gain alot from having mutilple ripitde hots going (2set procs) aswell as healing rain. It just takes you a few secs to cast and you can gain quite a few stacks from it.Esp with a melee heavy comp and/or pets. More stacks, more crit chain heals, more totem reduction. Which can also hit vesper totem. So its a nice addition and will just overall help with healing for alot of situations. And ofc healing rain + riptide hots also go into cloudburst. At the same time I'm not to sure about the stats. Yeah it hurts that we lost the 12% buff but now with 2 and 4 set, crit actually gains quite alot of value since you can skip on stacks with more crit. Haste feels a bit better to heal with tho, because of less gcd and the cast time. Ofc. Most shamans trend to have a fairly good balance between all three stats. Shaman is a great healer and this was a great guide, thanks alot growl!
Chains of Devastation build is SO MUCH FUN. It does make you want to use capacitor totem less often and more so for emergencies cause you want to cycle through your other totems that the 4 set procs. I recommend crit and verse only for this build. Haste is irrelevant. You turn into a machine gun mage healer. It does suffer in single target because of the lack of haste but not much at all. It increases mobility while healing and doing dmg by about 90%. With the amount of crit we will be getting with shrouded, 1/2 way through the dungeon you will be able to cast mana tide on every other pull. It’s insane.
A resto shaman saying that he doesn't use Healing Rain often... It's some really good + extensive passive healing that adds up quickly. Cast it on cd, and ~10% of your dungeon heals can come from it. It's a waste not to use it and you end up losing a lot of passive healing. Plus, it helps to fill up your cloudburst (whether it's on 1 target, or 2-3) in conjunction with the passive healing of Riptide and your other single target heals. For your Earth Elemental legendary, pre-cast it before going and attacking in a pull. Focus target it so you can keep track of its aggro/health, which will allow you to heal it if it pulls aggro, helping to keep it alive + popping more dps throughout the fight (and it's extra heals, if you're into parsing that in dungeons).
Hey Growl, big fan of the new edits overtop of your commentary. It helps keep my attention and it's really visually pleasing. Looking forward to more of these in the future :)
Thank you very much for this video on M+ shaman healing. I am currently stepping into learning how to heal M+ dungeons and have been looking for something to help me get started. Although I raid heal on my shaman, raid healing is a different beast than M+ dungeons. I mistakenly tried to heal a low key on my raid healing setup and, although we survived, I was less than happy about how it performed. I am bookmarking this video and your main channel to be able to come back to in the future. However, I am looking to find something in written format and wondered if you had anything like that you could share. BTW, I have my 4pc tier set and its amazing regardless of covenant I am using. I recently swapped to Venthyr and was really happy in raid, but noticed you mention Kyrian. Fortunately, I have all 4 covenants at 80 renown and access to the necessary soul binds as well. So I'll switch my M+ setup to use the Kyrian as you mention, although I still think Venthyr is pretty powerful.
I still think crit over haste unless you are doing high keys with players that avoid nearly all avoidable damage. You're spot healing pugs in the 15 key range so much more that no crit feels awful trying to stabilize the team.
@yumytv, Really great video! Would you know a way to add the Earth Elemental in your Vuhdo screen when casting it? Mine dies real quick and I do not have any hp Bars or anything showing up to heal him up.
Thank you very much for this information on M+ dungeons. Do you by any chance have anything on Resto Shaman raid healing? I really would love to see your feedback on that, or a suggestion as to where I can find raid healing info. Thanks
For starters you can not worry about it too much and just let the free chain heals from the 4 piece use your 2 pc charges. There might be some play in using it more often to reset vesper but I don't think itd be worth it unless you have high crit and maybe using the chains leggo
It can be good if your grp is melee heavy and you stick on their asses, otherwise it procs only on you, well in my case atleast. But the proc rate is insane tho
@@BranBronzebeard701 well in my 8 run this week in 20+ key only in spire that my ele pull aggro just because my tank was kiting the cat maybe im just lucky idk 😅
I've been using Skybreakers with Venthyr and I quite enjoy it. It's nice to be able to pump out extra chain harvests without thinking you have to save it for a special moment.
I would like to add. The guides I e been seeing have said not use healing rain on the norm...This is WRONG! If you have your 2 piece, you NEED to be keeping healing rain going to stack up your crits for chain heal. Whoever is saying otherwise needs to quit healing on a shaman. Healing rain and cloud burst are SUPER powerful for getting stack SO USE THEM! The guides are lying to you.
Uh.. 25% haste?? With diminishing returns on haste for restoration shaman? Idk about that. 14% for me has been seemingly fine. Feel like that’s just too much haste. Seems like a waste of stat weight when it could go to others

For me the ideal comp is 3 melees + monk tank for a great use of all of our totens, rain and chain heal.
Great guide, will there be a Druid guide coming soon? 😁
Super Guide, was looking for easy basic guide to try out healing, now i feel rdy for it, 3k on dps but never healxD Thx Growl
Tbc c Rsham here. I will become big and strong like you in 7 years 💪
Yo I love your videos dude. Is there a Druid guide coming soon?
100k subs incoming soon! Let’s go
You are the best, thanks heaps
i dont know what it is but your video seems better edited. keep up the good work
A great guide.
im sorry its maybe a stupid question but i have never heal in wow before, so do you need to dps in dungeon when you are the healer ?
Having a prot or ret Paladin buddy in some dungeons makes them much easier with their cleanses!
monks can also do disease/poison
can u use night? and what conduits would u use and stuff?
Hi, good video. Another build which I like using during fortified week is skybreaker + venthyr.
Id appreciate a venthyr disc build for m+ i cant seem to find Any videos about it
Wow 2022. How to spec as a healer? What makes the most damage...
i liked and subbed. now tell dorki to make a bdk chad guide for the plebs like me
what healing add on are you using?
New to wow.. I am trying to pick between resto shaman and disc or holy priest for healing
I kinda liked shadow priest lol
What about Primal Tide Core?
So the 4 piece does make vesper cd?

What is the mod that puts the thing in the middle of your screen. The one that seems to have your cooldowns on it
it’s called Weakauras
Great vid. Is first class healing distributer good?
I wouldn't use it in dungeons unless its a big item level upgrade over your other stuff. Maybe its better in raid

Do we know if the chain heal proc from 4p triggers the leggo for a free chain lightning?
Can confirm, the 4pc proc triggers the chain leggo
Elijah Dirge - is that an actor? or is is uh - lee -see - an - Dirge?
does the duplicated healing from ascendance count towards cloudburst?
oh yes!
