    Dadgummit! Lifting the whole rig with the strength of the magnet. That’s nuts!

      That's what I'm saying man! This motor is legit, there nothing else like it!

      Also, I think you’re the only one that believed me on that setup. If you could get proper overdrive, that would be the best budget setup, although I think the 18p axles are better out of the pack. I don’t have one that I drive anymore because I might have sold one or two 18p kits. Btw, do those motors bolt straight up? I never went and looked. The only aftermarket 050 I have run on that trans is the samix, which I think has the 030 bolt pattern for bolting directly to scx24, opposite of other 050’s, I think. So, I had to drill holes. I think that’s actually a better motor for the setup because you can get about twice the wheel speed with about the same slow crawl but there’s no questioning what I just saw in that thing going up the vert ramp without hesitation.

      I found out quickly that running the FCX24 Axles and SCX24 transmission was not the key to success even with brushless power! If you want to run ring and pinion you need gear reduction, the cr18p transmission does just that! Yes the TBX50 30K is a direct bolt in to the cr18p transmission, for the Injora Pro I had to drill new holes. This new TBX50 30K motor Is very impressive, I don't think we'll ever see more power in this size motor.

      I saw Nick break a rear axle on an scx24 with the prototype. I know it’s torquey! I felt the power of the magnets, it’s just surprising to see it actually lift the whole rig, though. Thanks for sharing, brother.

      Thanks mate, Josh from TexomaRC actually recommended the CR18P transmission when running the FCX24 Axles. You can pick up the transmission with metal gears and a motor for 12 bucks and Josh has a Slayer skid that fits the transmission.

    I agree with brushed points, they are also lighter compared to brushless, neo magnets might be heavier, im not sure. I feel people sometimes fall into a one track mind. This is why im actually going to use this motor with really cool esc, the Klemm Floh ESC. On paper it looks underwhelming, and most would write it off but they shouldn't... The quality of this ESC is top notch, I didnt even realize all the neat engineering that went into it until i read the gentlemen's website, worth checking out if you are curious. Anyways great video as always I seem to sparaticaly watch your videos, but you are one of my favorite RC UA-camrs👊

    What a nice coincidence I just bought a v3 tb50 platinum off mofo RC yesterday. I couldn’t find the difference between the regular tb50 and the platinum tho so I bought the platinum hoping it’s better. My scx24 stock motor is super clunky when trying to crawl slow.

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  10 місяців тому +1

      You'll love the Torque Beast 50 3.0 if you're on stock electronics, really nice power and control! The platinum version is the same except has a steel pinion which is great when running a steel spur gear. The TBX50 30k featured in this video really needs an aftermarket esc to get the full experience! This motor has way more power than anything I've tested so far! Thanks for stopping by!

    Great review! I'm betting there's quite a difference between what you consider "a warm day" and what I do, here in Canada... LOL! Beautiful Slayer! You mentioned you got the 'Builders Kit" in another comment down below. What all came in that?
    Thanks!

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  6 місяців тому +1

      Warm summers day in North Carolina probably is quite different to a summers day In Canada! The "Builders kit " from Texoma RC included the Caged chassis, but also a wide range of body mounts and electronics/battery mounts. I don't even know if that kit is still available?

      @@havikhobbies Ha! I thought from your accent you were down under. But yeah, NC probably still a bit more toasty.
      I don't think it is. Josh did a redo after his near meltdown. Glad he's simplified and condensed things down into one rig. New unit looks killer. But I still find I can't quite figure out his shop page. Definitely could be just my dyslexia, but I think it still needs more work. I can't tell what comes with what or if the combo/kits are complete or partial. Always prevents me pulling the trigger as with shipping, exchange rate, import duties, etc. it would be costly to order incorrectly. Love Josh though. He's the mad scientist of 1/24th's. :)

      @wingnutbert9685 😂 I'm an Aussie, just not living there at the moment! Shoot Josh an email, tell him which rig you want to build and what motor/esc combo you plan on using. He's a great guy to work with and I'm sure he would be happy to get you setup with a Texoma style rig 👍

      @@havikhobbies I agree! I think he'd be cool with that and I'd love to give him the business. When he was melting down, I emailed him to chat. Not that had anything to do with it, but was glad to see him take a breath and regroup. I think he just got a bit over enthusiastic and ahead of himself. This is a niche within a micro-niche hobby. Tough to go full time into. As a sculptor, I definitely understand what he's going through.

    • @havikhobbies

      I think if Josh started catering to the 1/10 market and carried some other parts like the servos and electronics he uses so his website was a one stop shop and maybe even offered some turn key rigs that would assist with turning a profit, but that's a big investment and a lot of work!

      I think Josh will do amazing things in the future. Unfortunately this corner of the hobby is a small niche, and is probably best kept as a side gig in his spare time until he's able to grow his brand further and perhaps even apply his genius design skills to a wider range of RC crawlers like the long established 1/10 market.

    so what is the difference between TorqueBeast 50 3.0 Motor and TorqueBeastX 50 Size 30K

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  2 місяці тому +1

      All Torque Beast X motors have incredibly strong magnets that give them insane levels of power. The Torque Beast 3.0 doesn't have the same magnets as the X series and runs better on "stock" ESC's and has a good balance of slow crawl, power and wheel speed. The X motors run best on an aftermarket ESC like a Furitek, Mofo Rockwolf or Dinky RC D-Drive Micro Sport! I hope that helps! Thanks for watching!
