All I could think of was how painful that was.i had three tiny braids put in my hair at one point, and it was so uncomfortable that I couldn’t handle it.
@@Boredchinchillaless painful and less lengthy than removing dreads, but I imagine the process is similar. Tons of silicone conditioner and a rat tail comb.
When I was 25 I used a dollar store dye, my hair started falling out in the tub in huge handfuls.... I never dyed it again. Im 40yrs old and I dont care what color it is, I'm just happy to have hair
Omg- my dad used to fold his ears up like that and then as a child I would bop his nose and his ears would fly open as I would roll over laughing 😂 good times. Miss ya dad ❤
The ear: some people has the ear very soft and can do it, but not everybody. My brother use to do it to make me laugh, and when he did a big smile, the ears went out by themselves !!!🤣 I cannot do it.
I don't get why people hate silver or grey hair, I Love mine 😍 I have alopecia so I'm happy to have any but really silver catches the light and sparkles ✨
I’m so delighted to see this video. It’s made my evening ❤ HB is the perfect balance between frustrated disbelief, astonished admiration and brilliant humour 🙌
WOW!!!❤❤❤ I hardly ever stop a video to make a comment but could not go further without commenting on the braiding of the butterfly! What a piece of art and how skilled the stylist is, oh my to be a little girl with long hair again. I would go and have my hair done at least once by this gal!! Love it so much!
Re: pulling out grey hairs. As a redhead, I've had grey hairs since at least 5 yrs old. My mom used to sit me down & go thru my hair to pull them all out. 🙄😒 I finally told her to stop sometime between 10 & 12 because I had more grey hairs each time she sat me down. I was beyond over it. 😑 I turn 38 this year & when anyone points out my grey hairs, I shrug & tell them I've had them since I was 5. 🙃 They don't bother me 😁
The bowl cut reminds me of my dad. I had waist to length hair and he cut it with a bowl. I cried so badly. Love the butterfly. I'm wondering if you still cut hair. ?? Never pull out your grey hair 3 grow back lol.
Just note you can braid/cornrow/canerow hair neatly without tension on the scalp. I know that there are people who may not know so I am not trying to be rude or condescending, just educating
I pulled out a few grey hairs in the beginning, but realized it was a losing battle! I colored for a few years as well but in the end I decided to embrace my silver hair! 😁
My hairdresser cuts my layers so my grey blends in very nicely. The older I got the less I messed with my hair. I now have natural hair with no fake colours and I love it so much more, greys and all.
I have been binge watching your video's the last couple of days (I've watched them all when they were posted tho!). SO happy there is a new one!! Groetjes Wenneke
Hi HB!!! Tabi Sue from Akron, Ohio, USA again!!! What products do you recommend for really long natural curly hair??? It's also virgin hair if that matters!!! I want defined curls, but not sticky products!!! Thanks!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day!!!
Hello HairBuddha, I love your videos! Could you make a video about how you do YOUR “hairstyle”? I've been wearing your style for 3 months now, but I'm curious to know how you manage your bald head so neatly. And how do I find the right start for the sideburns? And do you do it wet or dry? Greetings from Bavaria! Thanks a lot!🙏🏼
Sometimes someone or a hairstylist will saw you want me to pull out the gray hair I tell them no I don’t have much hair as it is. My hair went from very thick to very then. In the front sometimes I can see my scalp through the hair. 😢
The butterfly was awesome, but the rest are disasters! The plucking of the gray hairs is a no-no. As you age, the texture of your hair changes along with the gray and thinning hair. I know from experience. 😊
I waited since I was a little kid to have white hair and recently finally started getting some! The only drawback is the texture seems a little different- can’t be helped though and im grateful to have hair!
I plucked out my first grey hair so I could tape it in my journal, lol. Only it wasn't just grey, it was almost holographic. I can't wait to have a natural full head of them, but it's been a couple years already and no more have shown up!
The last couple remind me of when I was a kid. During the Thanksgiving holiday meal, when I was 5 years old, I got up from the dinner table, went to the guest bathroom, found scissors, and cut my bangs/fringe. I have no clue what inspired me to do that (especially at that particular moment). But these ladies certainly remind me of that poor decision that I made all those years ago.
Yeah I pulled out the greys at the front but by now I just try to cut them short, I know I'll need them later. They are not so much I can dye them either. They like to stick up extra curly out of my hair.
It would have helped to brush the wet hair first with a proper hair comb then linings up the hair nice and straight. Then have the person you are trimming hold their head still while using a hair comb and hair scissors to trim the hair layer by layer. Use hair pins or Bobby pins to hold the hair you do not need to cut yet up until it is time to cut it. Make sure you cut evenly and while the hair is wet. Use conditioner if the hair is really tangled.
I had really long hair like the first girl. My mom didn’t know how to care for it,so it grew very long but different lengths. When I finally got it cut I looked like Cleopatra!
I was a Rusk stylist in the 90s. They had a whole series of “thinning scissors” and you actually did most haircuts with a combination of them. You have to be careful though, because some people have tragically fine and thin hair and it just doesn’t work for them.
When i was 13, I had just taken a shower. Our shower was also the bathtub. I wanted to shake my hair out, and when I did, i slammed my head on the side of the bathtub SO HARD that I knocked myself out cold. I came to look up at my dad , who thought i gave myself brain damage😅😂.. he kept asking me what day it was and what my name was, and blood was running down my face, into my eyes and nose... my mom had to come and double rescue me. One rescue for the head banging and the other rescue from my daddy who wouldn't stop with the questions. 🤣🤣 I lived.. but with a HUGE "Goose Egg" on my forehead. It stayed pretty big for a few days. Then, it became a very ugly bruise. Ahhh, another lovely childhood memory. Thank you, youtube❤
The butterfly was beautiful. The lady that got the chemo special and ended up with that chopped up mullet, oh hell no. We would have been fighting over that. And once in court with that hair, I think I would win.
I started getting grey hair in my mid 20s and would often pluck out those strands of hair.. Then I noticed thinning in those areas from the excessive plucking. I stopped plucking and started experimenting with henna, bleach hair dye, permanent and semi- permanent dye.. These worked to cover grey but never lasted. But b/c I wasn't ready to fully accept my grey, I repeatedly added stuff to cover it for many yrs...September of last yr at 44 was the last time I put any kind dye in my hair.. Now a yr later most of the dye has grown out and the grey is shining through😊. I'm still not fully accepting of it cause I love color but fr the moment I don't feel like fighting my hair and just let it be free 😂
My mom dyes hers with semipermanent dye from cvs. She picks a color, then puts in a new one when the old one mostly washes out. She’s got “midnight jade” right now but my favorite is the transition from magenta to blue. Tinsel might also be fun.
I'll keep every hair on my head. Demi-permanent color covers most of the gray for a month or so. Cheap, quick and easy with professional color, especially just doing the roots.
I'm blonde. At the moment I am in the phase (50+) that the hair does not turn gray, but darker and darker. As a child I was platinum blonde, until 40 I had a light golden blonde, and slowly but surely it is becoming street dog blonde as we say in Germany. Somehow such a totally boring medium blonde that I can't stand myself at all. 🤷🏼♀️
They found her cancer during abdominal surgery. Last I heard the lungs were not in the abdomen. And you don’t have months of chemo for any pre cancer. Cancer runs strong in my family, and I recently finished chemotherapy for breast cancer. I have a lot of experience talking with doctors about the various stages and treatments as both my parents passed from it before I was diagnosed. This woman. Is making stuff up as she goes.
"She aged 40 years" was so brutally honest😂 That kind of honesty is my favourite 😂 ❤
The butterfly is an absolute work of art but looks so painful. I commend both the braider and the client for their patience.
It would take so long to remove it later with such tiny braids 😢
Totally Agree
It is a Masterpiece
Absolutely Beautiful ❤️ ❤❤

How long would that take to do to Hair like that like six hours?
Watching you try to fold your ear into itself-- priceless 😊
😬

The butterfly was fantastic…but I know I’d be Oo it’s pulling and itching …get it out 😂
Omg- my dad used to fold his ears up like that and then as a child I would bop his nose and his ears would fly open as I would roll over laughing 😂 good times. Miss ya dad ❤
If I pulled out all my gray hair, I'd look like HB.😂😂
🤣
I was gonna say the same thing!!😂😂❤
I’d look like Homer Simpson
Me too😂

Mine started going grey I my late 30s. It is now beautiful, silver

Yes, it's amazing
NGL. The lady who accidentally tried to knock herself out on the counter had me cracking up. But I also hope that she's okay.
I love my white hair coming in after my natural red . What I don't like is the time it takes to grow in evenly . 😊
I hear ya! But I kinda like how the blend looks with my natural light-ish color!
You can get the red bleached down to match the white!😊
You trying to fold your ear in 🤣🤣 you make my day, thank you ❤️
"shocking, isn't it" Oh Hair Buddha, you do make me chuckle!! 😁

😲 that tiger dye job was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen done with hair dye. I wish we could have seen more of that video.
"Yeah, i know. Shocking isn't it?" 😂😂😂😂😂
You trying to fold your ear down was one of the funniest things I have seen in a while!
The butterfly hair style was beautiful 😍🦋Thank for sharing Hair Buddha 😊👍✂️
Hair Buddha, awesome content keep up the great content
Thank you
8:23 Wow, what a makeover! 😲 The guy is actually very good-looking, he just needed a barber. The perfect jawline!
I don't think it's the same person. Different nose and skin color. 😅
You are absolutely correct about pulling out grey hair & aging!
Estimate of time spent creating the butterfly anyone? That was a huge commitment for a young child! 😮
Is it maybe just a USA thing where we're brought up with the you pull one grey and multiple grow back? 😂😂
Definitely not, I'm from Brazil and my mom used to say the same 🤣
🙋♀️Mexican and i have also grown up hearing this
I'm Croatian and it's a saying here as well.
As a grey hair plucker I'm sad to say it's true😭
@@kirkboesch9734I don't think it matters. Lol
