You bring up a good point about how so many other storylines (Tyrion, Dorne, Dany) revolve around Aegon that it's arguably the worst thing that they removed from the show because of the vacuum it created
I think it’s actually worse - removing Aegon from the picture ruins the thematic structure of the story. I think D&D got the basic point across - the white walkers will be defeated and then Westeros will collapse back into civil war. But instead of this war being against the very hatable Cersei, it will be between Aegon and Jon/Dany/Tyrion. It’ll be a sad, pathetic war compared to what came before it. In other words, ASOIAF’s scouring of the shire.
George is obviously having problems somewhere in the writing process, but I’m sure he’s got a clear idea of what the basic plot points are. I believe in him
@@GalahadTheSeeker If he gets through Winds, I think Dream should be a lot smoother. He knows how the series will end, and Dream should be endgame stuff
While we don't have the books, they are still being written! The lack of books now means a quality book later (and I'm sure GRRM's legacy is being worked on)
Your scripts are simply second to none at getting the viewer amped up for Westeros; full of epic one-liners that immediately make the viewer think "Oh sheeeet, some insane stuff is about to go down!" I think you've become even better than Alt-Shift X in that regard. I have become a massive fan of your work over the past 12 months.
Winds is about to be one big climax of a book, I have no doubt it'll be a fan favorite when it comes out because of all the action that's coming our way
Im glad you actually mentioned Aerys didinheriting Rheagars kids. So many people skip over that but its incredibly important. Sure Jon and Faegon are both males, which would publiclly give them a stronger claim, but those are exactly the kind of ideals George is trying to tear down.
Yeah I’m still trying to decide how I think JonCon’s greyscale will affect the plot, which is why I hardly ever mention it. Hopefully I figure it out by the time of my big Dany video in a few months
i love the theory of jon, dany and aegon being a parallel for aegon and his sisterwives and the three of them getting married (... red dragon, black dragon, a dragon is still a dragon). its only wishful thinking though, knowing how brutal ASOIAF has been until now. Great vid!
I don't think it's wishful thinking asoiaf may be dark but it's not nihilistic gourges big message is uniting to deal with a bigger threat Dany , Jon and faegon working together is completely in line with gourges writing.
@@thatoneblackdude3333 i think i came off as a bit negative, that wasnt my intention. i mean there is def a possibility of this happening, but i think there are many roadblocks they (especially dany being so far away from westeros) will have to go through first. they would have to win over the faith, the smallfolk of kingslanding and whatever is happening there, and then the wights at the wall, and Euron... i would love to see them triumph and be somewhat happy for once, at least for a while. so until TWOW and ADOS are out (that is actual wishful thinking) we have no way of knowing how the story's going to unravel
@@irlrenhwa I think the faith will be dismantled by eurion so that won't be a issue and Dany is the champion of the common people so again I don't think that will be a issue the real challenge is actually coming together Jon and Dany are easy faegon is the real challenge.
@@thatoneblackdude3333true but considering how Faegon is right now he isn’t suitable to rule especially with how he responded to Tyrion when he lost the game they were playing. He has a temper he’s immature and he’s very arrogant he didn’t even want to help his aunt with her problem he went straight to kings landing so he can claim the throne.
I think we’re greatly underestimating how messed up Jon will be once he comes back…I don’t think he’s gonna sit around while all of this is going on down south, and I think bro’s gonna be on demon time. He may find out about his heritage way sooner than we think and he might be the first one to actually steal one of Dany’s dragons when she refuses to help the north, and fly off with him in the night. The second dance of dragons (if it happens) will probably be more chaotic than the first. Jon in the north with Rhaegal (flying a dragon named after his father, kinda symbolising him really being Rhaegar’s son) and Aegon will bond with Viserion and fly him to King’s Landing. Euron could be the “old one” that’s referenced like you said and take the Cannibal…and then all hell is going to break lose.
I’m with you on Jon being more ruthless. I feel like the fandom has a major Jon bias so many like to believe that he’s good dany bad but the reality is that both of them are gonna do some fucked up things moving forward. i think they’ll still play a heroic role in the end but they’ll do some terrible things on the way there.
Its vary unlikely jon would steal Danys dragon as i doubt that would be the first thing he does when he finds out hes rhagars son, and it doesn't make any sense for dany to refuse to help Jon when its tge world at stake dany has always consistently chosen the needs of the people over her own desires and ambitions so she would more likely go with him then not .
@@Aydan2108 the idea that Jon is going to steal one of her dragons at all is ridiculous if he really is her nephew he won't need to she'll just let him bond with rhagal normally
@@thatoneblackdude3333 I honestly would hate it, I believe GRRM is a good writer so he wouldn't do that, I believe that Dany is bonded with all of her children and that she can ride other than just Drogon (especially Viserion), and that the only one that's gonna be ridden by someone else is rhaegal after Euron controls him with the dragon horn.
Yea he mentioned that in the video a lot of people conveniently choose to forget that part and just assume it has to be dany vs faegon when gourge outright said the opposite.
His mother or grandmother was a Targaryen. Plus he had the political backing of four major houses and the Targaryens had a few majors on their sides plus Connington failure to end the rebellion early made the Targaryens look weak Mace Tyrell stupid decision to lay a siege instead of going to the Riverlands and Rhaegar's absence put the Royals at a disadvantage. The Trident was truly the beginning of the end with a storm that killed most of the Targaryen loyalist navy at Dragonstone after The sacking of King's Landing and Doran saw how it was fruitless to fight Robert as he hand most of Westeros on his side after Tywin sided with him. Sometimes fortune matters more than legimacy
The image you give of Doran stuck between a rock (Aegon) and a hard place (Daenerys) is really fucking funny. "Hmmm on the one hand this man is my nephew, on the other this woman has three giant fuck you magical fire-breathing lizards who burned down our entire country like 3 times already."
I think there won't be a fight like we think, George has echoed the past several time and but then changed how it goes. Maybe this is the time a targaryen will move past their pride and think of the family. And she has always wanted a family. Cloth dragon, red dragon, black dragon, doesn't matter a dragon is a dragon
@@MyCarnageExtremeMore likely that the Second Dance or whatever it's gonna be called will happen after the Long Night, like what _kinda_ happened in the show.
I would like to believe that George wants us to think that, finally, after three failed blackfyre rebellions, and targaryens failing to rule together, this will be the goal. A targaryen and blackfyre rulling together. At least for a while, till all the other storylines catch up.
Awesome video mate! Pairs well with David Lightbringers recent 6th Blackfyre Rebellion stream. They touch on many of the items you mentioned - I also like the idea that Varys could be a Blackfyre.
you got the story of the Inn's iron dragon wrong. " "The Old Inn, some call it. There has been an inn there for many hundreds of years, though this inn was only raised during the reign of the first Jaehaerys, the king who built the kingsroad. Jaehaerys and his queen slept there during their journeys, it is said. For a time the inn was known as the Two Crowns in their honor, until one innkeep built a bell tower, and changed it to the Bellringer Inn. Later it passed to a crippled knight named Long Jon Heddle, who took up ironworking when he grew too old to fight. He forged a new sign for the yard, a three-headed dragon of black iron that he hung from a wooden post. The beast was so big it had to be made in a dozen pieces, joined with rope and wire. When the wind blew it would clank and clatter, so the inn became known far and wide as the Clanking Dragon." "Is the dragon sign still there?" asked Podrick. No," said Septon Meribald. "When the smith's son was an old man, a bastard son of the fourth Aegon rose up in rebellion against his trueborn brother and took for his sigil a black dragon. These lands belonged to Lord Darry then, and his lordship was fiercely loyal to the king. The sight of the black iron dragon made him wroth, so he cut down the post, hacked the sign into pieces, and cast them into the river. One of the dragon's heads washed up on the Quiet Isle many years later, though by that time it was red with rust. The innkeep never hung another sign, so men forgot the dragon and took to calling the place the River Inn."
I think dany rides all 3 dragons. I think her recalling that not even aegon the conqueror did is a red herring. The conquerors aren't the pinnacle of targaryen potential, they didn't hatch petrified dragons in an untaught fire ritual. The targaryens dream and waits for a "prince who was *promised*" and their sigil is a single entity with 3 heads (dany hatched 3 dragons, wears a 3 headed crown and is the child of 3). I think all 3 dragons are a representation of daenerys' characters. Everyone who looks at the "three heads has *the dragon*" prophesy and thinks its multiple people (even though its referring to *the dragon*; a single entity) gets a reality check. Rhaegar thinks naming his 3 kids after the 3 conqueror will forcefully bring about the prophesy but his 3rd child was jon (named viserys? But definitely not visenya) and it brings about the end of his house I think the distinction lies in the fact that dany is unlike all prior targaryen by both her actions and her potential (thats why the targaryens themselves at their peak power were in awe of this prophesy). The child if 3 rides the 3 dragons. Also everyone wants jon on a dragon but that just mean 1 less capable sword wielding person capable of leading on the ground. Jons skill and knowledge of the wall means he's more capable on the ground leading an assult with his wolf.
No she doesn’t ! A dragon rider can only ride 1 dragon. In the books Dany has zero control over Rhaegal and Viserion ! Hence why she put them in the dungeons
Nah, Daenerys being trueborn and (F)Aegon being known by most magical/prophetic people as a "Mummer's Dragon" has me thinking it's gotta be her to win this one. The true Female Heir over the false Male Heir, whereas the first time around, the female heir was the one who had bastards and the male heir was the legitimate one with the symbols backing him
Symbols will back Aegon VI as well as well as the narrative of overthrowing Cersei once she has her Rhaenyra moment in King's Landing. What will be Aegon Vi's doom is the fact he won't have any support in the North.
Mummer's dragon does not necesarrily mean fake dragon. It could mean a dragon under the control of a Mummer(Varys). He could be real or a Blackfyre but still be a true dragon.
One thing to note about dragonbinder is that Moqorro tells Victarion that no matter who blows on it the dragon will go to its master, and so he tells Victarion that to own the horn he has to aquire it by blood, meaning we might see Victarion ride a dragon (would be dope as fuck but he'll probably fail as usual)
This perseved conflict also has made it apparent that people romanticize faegon a lot and expect him to be this perfect king whos going to fix everything when hes not potrayed that way at all in the story and they just blindly take varys words at face value when hes one of the most unreliable narrators in the story, faergons personality and behavior also doesn't match what varys says about him but people disregard this because they like the idea of him so much to pay attention to what George is actually doing with faegon hes a deconstruction of the returned prince Troup, hes not the perfect king nor is he even a Prince at all hes a fake but fans ignore this in favor of what they want even going as far to suggest hes actually real even tho all proof leads to him being a blackfaire they want him to be there wish fulfillment fantasy so badly no matter how much it doesn't fit the story, they so badly want faegon to be the " main character" regardless of how illogical it is , he showed uo literally in the 5th book and had done nothing to gain respect or love if anything hes done tte opposite and yet people in this thread are convinced hes gonna be a great king theyd rather cling to delusion then accept reality.
@@josephbulkin9222 no she isn't Dany isn't a deconstruction she's the subversion because instead of a returning prince it's a returning princess her gender is the subversion not her role in the story.
@@josephbulkin9222 that's a ridiculous assumption with no basis because it acts like Dany doesn't understand context, can't differentiate between slave masters and nobles, it also ignores that her advisers wouldn't just sit there and let her do this , are these lords , ladies and knights wiping innocent people, chaining children and robbing them of basic human rights ? Are they crucifying them ? Are they making them fight in death pits for entertainment? No so why the fuck do you think Dany is going to go around killing random lords, ladies and Knights? . Dany is killing slave masters because there evil oppressors who kill innocent people for fun , nobles ( most of them) don't do this whatever problems Dany will have with them can be solved with words which she always prefers over violence ( which you would know of you actually payed attention to her character) bottom line is your crazy delusion isn't going to happen.
@@josephbulkin9222 why the fuck would she do that ? How do you not see how ridiculous that sounds ? Don't know about how the Dance will comence but my theory is that Dany has to choose between Feagon and Jon with Jon having the support of the North and the Riverlands maybe the Vale and Faegon has Dorne, Reach and Stormlands which kinda looks like the first Dance.
The old dragon, I think it's the one stuck on a tree. No, I don't think he's going to take one of the dragons, but aha... It's the old dragon. But yes, I think the three dragon riders will be Daenerys, Jon and Aegon.
I do think the "Mummer's Dragon" phrase has led people to believe in the Blackfyre angle, but what if it's referring to Varys, he & Illyrio are Mummers of a sort, and Aegon is their dragon.
I have some questions: Dragons are supposed to get bigger as the grown older, correct? Then if Cannibal is older than Balerion wouldn't that make him much bigger than Balerion? And how was he just chilling on dragonstone before the Targaryans got there? Where did he come from...?
Dany and Aegon teaming up vs Euron is really interesting. I do think Viserion will make it to Westeros before Dany and Drogon/Rhaegal theres no way Victarion resists blowing the horn to try and tame it himself
I think it's likely to happen, but i do wonder why he wouldnt have used the title ADWD for the book where the conflict actually happens. Its also possible the title refers to Illyrio's/Varys' machinations re: Dany/Aegon instead of the actual conflict between two.
So the second dance ,Dany is the black queen and Jon will be her Daemon? Maybe that's why the blood raven wanted to find him. Also, Daemon spent 14 days waiting for his doom, enough time for him to train Jon. It's an interesting idea that bring JRRM his favorite charters in the canon together.
This would also be a good reason for why Dany doesn’t attack KL immediately. Instead of being the one person with a dragon, Aegon might have Rhaegal. That would result in a dragon battle right over the city and would basically destroy it regardless of the wildfire. So Dany’s strategy would probably be to attack other areas to draw Aegon away from the city to avoid the carnage happening right on top of the capital. Kind of like Robert’s musings on the Dothraki in the show, Aegon would be holed up in the Red Keep while Daenerys and her Dothraki are sacking the countryside, potentially turning the people against him if he doesn’t do anything to help them with his dragon
@@Aydan2108 Well if one of Dany’s dragons let him claim them then yes it would be his dragon. They were Dany’s eggs but she has very little control over Drogon and they’re bonded. Her other two dragons are effectively their own “people” so to speak
@@nevaehaho61 I don't think so, Dany is not just another Targaryen, she is literally The Mother Of Dragons, they are not just her dragons, they are her children (she brought them to life, she breastfed them, and raised them), I believe she will be the first Targaryen to be able to ride more than just one dragon (especially Viserion because he is the closest to Dany), and I think Rhaegal will only be ridden by Euron and only because of his dragon horn, that's what i think is going to be the dance of the dragons where Dany fights Euron and is forced to kill her child because Euron is absolutely controlling him and using him to install terror.
@@nevaehaho61 while Dany is physical bonded to drogon all her dragons have a bond with Dany it's literally established that they miss her and want her to set them free Dany isn't called the mother of dragons for no reason those are her children they aren't just going to go to random strangers over her .
@@thatoneblackdude3333 Well yes they see her as their mother but Drogon and Dany clearly have a much stronger bond. It’s in the dragons’ instincts to bond with a rider (Rhaegal even starts to form a bond with Rhaego when he was still an egg and Dany was pregnant). A dragonrider bond might overpower that, or maybe we’ll see the dragons struggle which would be interesting as well
Do I think the's going to be a second dance maybe but I'm not sure if Faegon is going to die..... It wouldn't make sense for the last Blackfrye rebellion to end with Dany killing him
Exactly since that clearly hasn't worked Danys character is all about righting the wrongs of the past if anything Dany will spare faegon and have the black and red dragons rejoin undoing aegon 4s actions.
Make a video about how a possible industrial revolution in westeros could go. the industrialist in me can't wait to see the trident used for factories and Maidenpool becoming an important city
Happy Ending: Aegon rides Rhagal, Jon rides Viserion, Dany rides Drogon. They re-establish the Targaryen Dynasty as an inverse to Aegon the first. And they live happily ever after - until the others wipe them all out
the only thing that i would think is gonna happen is rhaegal's loyality being torn between griff and snow. i am more curious as to whom that dragon will choose
I'll forever believe Varys harmed Rhaegar's children. But Gregor and Lorch were too afraid to tell Tywin it wasn't them bc it was their order to do so.
the issue is the books there are two possible theories. 1 he is a black fire 2 he the son of Lyanna Stark and Reghgar with Jon being the son of Ashara Dayne and NED
Nobody ever mentioned Silverwing dying. Could she still be alive?! For those not in the know Silverwing was the Dragon of Good Queen Alysanne and she lived about 200 years before the current timeline
I always thought these Visions and Prophecies were the downfall of those who believed in them. Cersei believes in the Prophecy of Maeggi the Frog and it is her Downfall, Rhaegar believes in the Prophecy of the Prince that was Promised and it was his Downfall because he wanted a Prophecy-Baby of Ice and Fire. In the end, those who concentrate on the present and not the potential of a possibility that is a prophecy will survive these Books.
I think Dany will have to burn King's Landing to save it because Jon Connington have greyscale and he will probably became stone man and he will spread sickness and then Dany comes as a questionable savior but knowing Dany she will want to save those people
I think we're forgetting an obvious parallel of Black and Green. Jon on the Green Rhaegal, and Dany on the Black Drogon. History repeating. Another dance of Blacks and Greens where the Green is the male claimant, and the Black is the female claimant.
@@breezy6859Then how the hell is he a targaryen if he is a bastard ? The prophecy was about the prince that was promised not some bastard who happened to be a targaryen .
@@breezy6859 Well, i know this is show only, but we saw Rhaegar get married to Lyanna. And there's two ways about it, either he married her in the valyrian tradition, which allows for one man to have multiple wives like Aegon or Maegor did. Or he had a Septon annul his marriage to Elia, and have him married to Lyanna instead, making Jon a trueborn.
@@Quark214 the septons hate the Targs and loathe their Valyrian practices though. I doubt the Faith would even recognize that marriage even if Rhaegar did marry her in Valyrian tradition. And annulment is impossible because Rhaegar's marriage to Elia was consummated. Not to mention that Aerys disinherited Rhaegar and his children and made Viserys his heir.
My candidates for the rider of Viseryon are: Euron Greyjoy with his horn. Cersei i belve she and Jaime are the real children of the mad king, also Jaime could ride Viserion.
The Tyrion = Aery’s son theory is weak as it is but Cersei and Jamie being kids of Aerys makes genuinely no sense at all. And even if it did how tf would Cersei become a dragon rider 😂
Wasn't there also a theory that it is jamie not tyrion that is the mad king's son because of hints in the book? It may or may not be a stretch that he could be the third dragon rider!
The dance could also be Jon vs Aegon. In the books Jon is more power hungry, and the mummers dragon could also be a way to mislead us, since Jon can also be the "fake" dragon, either referring to him being more Stark than Targaryen, or him being a "bastard" (in everyone's eyes) and thus not truly a Targaryen to the people of Westerose.
Honestly, Faegon is not a terrible potential ruler. He has a temper but is willing to listen to tryions counsel and deems his plan as a good alternative to the poor choice he was left with. He's charismatic and humble enough to realize he might be wrong to go with his previous plan. Even if he is a blackfyre he doesnt seem like he'd be a bad ruler.
If that's what you think you've read his character wrong , he didn't get the proper lesson from Tyrions lesson and was just manipulated into attacking westsros so his pride wouldn't be hurt , he's a arrogant brat who only changed his tone after Tyrion told him it wouldn't work your a fool to think faegon will make a good king gourge wouldn't have Dany and Jon go through the struggles of leadership for some random kid to do it so easily nor would he have Tyrion compare him to Joffrey for no reason.
@@thatoneblackdude3333 I believe dany and Jon would be much better rulers though if we consider targ rulers of the past, fargon is a fair middle ground. That’s all I’m saying. I was expecting him to be much worse. I don’t think he’s Joffrey bad either.
@@JacobSBierman you can't say he can't be much worse he wasn't ruled yet so you can't really say if he'd be bad or worse but from what we see nothing about him indicates he'd be a good king anyone who genuinely believes that are delusional and what to use him for wish fulfillment.
I don’t think that Tyrion being a Targaryen would have to lessen his relationship arc with Tywin at all. Whoever raises you is just as much of a father, if not more so, as the person who’s seed made you. If Jon’s relationship with Ned isn’t lessened by the fact that his bio dad is actually Rhaegar, then the same can be said for Tyrion.
I think Jaime will be Viserions rider. A dragon of white and gold, for a old man and a young dragon of Gold of Lannister and White for his Kingguard armour. Or to the very least he Aerys bastard. So he sort fullid his king order bij bringing him his fathers head. Making him not even a oathbreaker.
Watching this video, it occurred to me that the blackfyres never had dragons. If the Aegon Blackfyre theory is true, I believe he will either be killed when attempting to bond with one of Danys dragons or simply will not be able to get a dragon. I'm not saying only targaryens can be dragon riders, but targ dragons specifically are super picky
I think Aegon will sit on the Iron throne, as his story is told through others eye (Something GRRM would do). Also I think Jon dies killing the night king and Dany Dies fighting and killing Euron... Its what kind of happens in the show where they split Aegon's role with the characters they included in the show.... Its Aegon the people of Westeros need and will get as he will be a Good king.
Aegon VI will be swaying on decision because others will make decisions for him and this will make him question him am i king ? they will see him as a weak king he will go mad and here comes Dany who have to go South to go North what she will do i wonder
Everyone assuming the second dance has to be between Dany and faegon have a terrible problem of looking at this story at face value and disregarding character to personality, as well as timing, gourge literally said it doesn't mean danys involved therefore theres a likely chance she isn't she already has a lot to do in essos and it isn't going to be done halfway in winds or at slavers bay its more likely dany won't reach westsros till the end of winds . It also doesn't make narrative since for dany to fight faegon because if she believes hes her nephew she wont fight him she isn't rheanyra family is extremely important to her she named two of her 3 dragons off of her brothers one of whom she hasn't even met, it also wouldn't make sense because dany is so much more powerful then faegon, the idea that people are just going to blindly believe faegon is who he says he is with zero proof are delusional and naive tell me when has any plan ever made gone that smovely? It's even worse because its not even backed up by the books faegon is already in westaros and nobody believes hes aegon especially not dorne nor do people like him , the idea that he will be accepted over dany is laughable when its stated in the book that he needs dany for his claim to be taken seriously, his gender alone is not enough to put him above Dany and his own men state he'd more likely be her consort rather then her king regent HIS OWN MEN ARE SAYING THIS. People also see dany as there rightful queen drinking secret toasts to her , when she comes to westaros with a army and 3 dragons people would sooner side with dany over some kid who claims to be aegon with no proof . So who would the second dance be about? Well i think thats were jon comes in there needs to be a reason for his identity to be important and serve a purpose in the narrative him fighting faegon is a good way to do this , it would get jon involved in the south plot and give him something to do in general after taking winterfell, it would also give faegon a actual chance because compared to jon he is more likely to be belived as rhagars son over jon due to his physical appearance, the conflict would be a lot more equal because id be normal army vs normal army rather then normal army vs 3 dragons. When thinking about the second dance everyone is looking at the wrong Targaryen trying to make the events of the show make sense refusing to accept d&d made it up like they've done multiple timee before.
@@Aydan2108 like it's obvious these people aren't paying attention to what's actually happening in this story and are obsessed with there own theories not seeing that they don't actually fit in the narrative, faegon is a unknown alien nobody likes whole westaros knows who Dany is , faegon has no proof he's rhagars son while Dany has 3 fucking dragons the literal physical embodiment of her house , Dany has feats and has ruled while faegon has nothing, like even in the original dance rhenyrea has more allies and the upper hand over aegon 2 dispute actually being the kings son , faegon is a nobody who no one believes he's aegon, with a army who is natoruous for fighting westsros and people seriously believe people are just going to accept him over the liberator of essos ? Gourge said the second dance doesn't mean Dany is involved for a reason because he knows it wouldn't make sense to make these two people fight , id be way to one sided people also forget faegon was supposed to marry Dany not be her rival for the throne , Jon fighting faegon makes way more since, he's already on westaros so he wouldn't need to break reality like Dany to fight him, as king in the north and wanting to unite westaros for the long night he'd have more reasons to fight faegon then Dany, and because he doesn't have 3 dragons the fight would be more even and id be a call back to the first blackfaire rebellion with the roles reversed vs the dance but lamer, jon vs faegon to me makes more sense and is far more interesting.
It would actually make more sense that Jon and FAegon would actually fight each other and thus create a second "dance of dragons". It could be a fight between the North (aka the Riverlands and the Vale) against the South (aka the Reach, the Stormlands, Dorne, etc.). Jon was named heir by his supposed half brother Robb and if he realizes that he's the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna he would definitely try to claim his birth right in order to bring the realm together or gain more power and find his place in society. Jon was always ambitious and he often dreams about Winterfell being his (a fact he's ashamed of, but he still desires it). He also dreams about the Winterfell crypts and how the old kings of winter tell him that he doesn't belong there. With this feeling of not being a Stark (strengthed by the hate of Catelyn Stark), it would make sense for him to embrace his Targaryen heritage and thus claim the throne. He himself was ready to join Stannis and be lord of Winterfell, if he hadn't be voted to become lord commander. His resurrection could change his appearance, him having white hair and red eyes, and his personality. Thus making him more willing to fight brutally and without mercy. I guess we all have to wait, but I truly hope that G.R.R. Martin allows at least Daenerys to have a happy ending or rather show the fans that Daenerys will not turn mad, regardless of how popular this false myth is.
Will George break away from the Cash, praise and fun of working on HBO shows long enough to be able to finish this Song, before his obvious ill health and age catch up with him? No.
I know it’s crazy to say but after game of thrones ending it’s so many possibilities like george rr martin still writing winds of winter they said in a leak source it will be released during 2024 or 2025 they probably gonna get the official announcement by december anyways enough talkin about him now im gonna talk about daenerys and jon snow i think the jon snow series ain’t dropped completely i have a feeling they are just waiting on george rr martin to release winds of winter let’s just hope it comes 2024/2025 like the source said I have a good feeling about this source cause last time he said something bout game of thrones it came true like when season 6 was coming out he said they are gonna do a prequel at that time nobody even knew we got house of dragons confirmed in 2020 that was 2 years before it even was a announced so yeah I have faith in this source and winds of winter not the last book for fans that don’t kno he also have another book coming
The real dance will be between jon and dany. For it to be a dance of dragons you need dragons to actually fight. Jon has the blood of the dragon and one of the dragons has his fathers name. I think grrm planned on ending the story with dany becoming mad like her father and jon doing what his father planned to do which was overthrowing the mad king. That might also be the reason grrm is having terrible finishing the books since hbo messed you the mad queen story line so much he is rethinking it for the books and is stuck in which direction to take the books.

I do wonder however about Aegon's total relevance given the scope of the series. He's a good diversion, but Drogo, Renly, Balon Greyjoy, hell even Robb were touted as large political rebels, and all of them died in ways that highlight mistakes with politics or recklessness. The Golden Company and Jon are great characters, but would a realm in winter, this being so late in the series really be the winners? I can see WOW Danny getting to Westeros in the end, and sweeping up, but Aegon is so fast and proud I never see them being equals, potentially his murder could be a catalyst for destroying Greyjoy and Lannister antagonists utterly so the Wall can be defended. I liked the video a lot, the best reasoned lore take on the Aegon subject I've seen. I also think Pentos or perhaps Volantis will certainly be seen in the chapter before Daenarys invades, possibly to grant it to loyal subjects and give an impression of momentum to offset her stalling in part 2 of DWD
I just realized that Jon is the only one who can ride a dragon, and he can also warg into a dragon. He is a Targaryen and also a Stark (warg). If he can warg into a direwolf, then he can also warg into a dragon.
@f.n8581 I said Jon not only can ride a dragon but also can warg into a dragon. Does Young Griff have warging abilities like Jon? Maybe he can ride a dragon, but he can't warg into a dragon like Jon.
You bring up a good point about how so many other storylines (Tyrion, Dorne, Dany) revolve around Aegon that it's arguably the worst thing that they removed from the show because of the vacuum it created
Goddammit D&D
True. They could've still gotten rid of pretty much every other thing they removed, but removing Aegon created a massive problem.
You got me thinking this story might not have been written into a corner and might actually get finished
George is obviously having problems somewhere in the writing process, but I’m sure he’s got a clear idea of what the basic plot points are. I believe in him
@@CrusaderChris Do you believe he'll ever finish A Dream of Spring? I think he'll finish Winds but I'm not so sure about Dream.

Im glad you actually mentioned Aerys didinheriting Rheagars kids. So many people skip over that but its incredibly important.
Sure Jon and Faegon are both males, which would publiclly give them a stronger claim, but those are exactly the kind of ideals George is trying to tear down.

Aegon has two problems coming his way: wildfire and greyscale

@@ACinemafanatic I think he'll have some character development at some point which would allow him to ally with Dany and Jon .
You think he's gonna steal one of Dany’s children and still be alive?💀
@@Aydan2108 the idea that Jon is going to steal one of her dragons at all is ridiculous if he really is her nephew he won't need to she'll just let him bond with rhagal normally

I remember George saying Dany won’t necessarily have to be involved in the dance but he cut himself because he probably was spoiling it

21:07 Baratheons are a cadet Targaryen branch though and Robert used that as his claim
*Was not expecting this. A surprise to be sure, but a welcomed one* 😊
The young and old line is about their ancestry. Daenerys is a Targaryen (the old dragons) and Aegon is a Blackfyre (the new dragons)

The honey nut locusts are hilarious
Thank you for making their eyes purple in the clips from the show
Awesome video mate!
When the wind blew it would clank and clatter, so the inn became known far and wide as the Clanking Dragon."
"Is the dragon sign still there?" asked Podrick.
But definitely not visenya) and it brings about the end of his house
I think the distinction lies in the fact that dany is unlike all prior targaryen by both her actions and her potential (thats why the targaryens themselves at their peak power were in awe of this prophesy).
It seems you and me are the only ones who believe Balerion died of firewyrm parasites
Me n Stannis corner, "it's ok, you're the rightful heir in my eyes."
23:04 I would rather say: GRM does not let have Targaryans nice things .. or anyone in ASoIaF
" Red or Black a dragon is still a dragon " !!

Don't know about how the Dance will comence but my theory is that Dany has to choose between Feagon and Jon with Jon having the support of the North and the Riverlands maybe the Vale and Faegon has Dorne, Reach and Stormlands which kinda looks like the first Dance.

I do think the "Mummer's Dragon" phrase has led people to believe in the Blackfyre angle, but what if it's referring to Varys, he & Illyrio are Mummers of a sort, and Aegon is their dragon.
Do you think if Jace (Son Of Rhaenyra) had lived, there could’ve been an dance between him and Aegon-III?
No ?
In the books it's said that Aegon the younger loved his older half brothers so probably not

The old dragon is likely bloodraven.
I think it's likely to happen, but i do wonder why he wouldnt have used the title ADWD for the book where the conflict actually happens. Its also possible the title refers to Illyrio's/Varys' machinations re: Dany/Aegon instead of the actual conflict between two.
How did you get purple eyed Danny show clips lol?
Dance of Dragons was literal: 20 of dragons took part in it.
In ASOIF, we have 3 dragons only.
There won't be Dance of Dragon II.
"His" dragon?
@@Aydan2108 Well if one of Dany’s dragons let him claim them then yes it would be his dragon. They were Dany’s eggs but she has very little control over Drogon and they’re bonded. Her other two dragons are effectively their own “people” so to speak

@@thatoneblackdude3333 Well yes they see her as their mother but Drogon and Dany clearly have a much stronger bond.
Not to mention that Aerys disinherited Rhaegar and his children and made Viserys his heir.
my ideal scenario: danny marries jon and aegon both and rule happily
My candidates for the rider of Viseryon are: Euron Greyjoy with his horn. Cersei i belve she and Jaime are the real children of the mad king, also Jaime could ride Viserion.
The Tyrion = Aery’s son theory is weak as it is but Cersei and Jamie being kids of Aerys makes genuinely no sense at all. And even if it did how tf would Cersei become a dragon rider 😂
LOL shut up
Wasn't there also a theory that it is jamie not tyrion that is the mad king's son because of hints in the book? It may or may not be a stretch that he could be the third dragon rider!
The dance could also be Jon vs Aegon. In the books Jon is more power hungry, and the mummers dragon could also be a way to mislead us, since Jon can also be the "fake" dragon, either referring to him being more Stark than Targaryen, or him being a "bastard" (in everyone's eyes) and thus not truly a Targaryen to the people of Westerose.
WE NEED A FAMILY TREE FOR THE DRAGONS!!!
Wow I some how always forget aegon is older than dany
nettles proves tyrion can ride viserion i think
We need a remake of game of thrones with everything that was taken out
They also need to keep Jon dead.
Lore of The Second Dance of the Dragons in ASOIAF momentum 100

Always speaking facts!!👏👏👏
No.
robert had to use his targaryen ancestry to legitimise his claim to the throne.
What if Bran Stark Wargs into one of Danny's dragons 💀
The blackfyre theory is kinda more flimsy than I figured
im 14 mins in and u havent said jon one time so wtf
Old and Young dragons are Aemon and Jon
It´s dra-gon, not dreygon!
blackfyre or not im backing aegon, aegon the king!
Why ? Hes literally compared to Joffrey
@@thatoneblackdude3333Aegon is cool and not cruel like Joffrey, he has a very likeable personality
@@erickonami1 there's nothing cool about faegon he hasn't done anything to make himself worthy of being called cool , he doesn't need to be cruel to be like Joffrey he's arrogant, selfish and entitled like Joffrey hense why Tyrion compared the 2 , faegon is a sexist, arrogant, entitled and selfish what about that is likable? .
@@thatoneblackdude3333 How is Aegon like Joffrey lol
@@maxtomlinson8134 he's arrogant, selfish, immature, bratty, and easily loses his temper when something doesn't go his way just like Joffrey did Tyrion wouldn't compare the 2 if there was no foundation for it .
This thumbnail reminds me they can't make Rhaenyra do something as stupid as what they did to Daenarys. Low expectations for HOTD actually gave some appreciation for a Targaryen civil war, and trying to make the greens more than one dimensional.
