David Gilmour literally making his guitar sing. Using a Talk Box is just like him using a Steel Guitar...its really Unfair! For Keys benefit, a Talk Box is an effect that guitarists use to add a new sound to the performance. Essentially it directs the sound of the guitar into their mouth where they can use their mouth and throat to alter the guitar sounds and send them through the mic. With the right person it can be magic.
At the time most guitarists called it a Throat Tube. Now it's called a Talk Box which is worn outside the mouth on the mic stand and is a processed sound like a synth. It was changed as the tube down the throat tended to damage vocal chords if you weren't careful.
The Division Bell, from this song is taken, is one of the most underrated albums of Pink Floyd's discography. The concept behind the album is the communication between humans and this song carries the concept too well. As a result of the lyrics' analysis, it’s true that without communication the human relationships will fall apart. It’s kind of mystical the treatment that this topic is receiving here, in this song. Someone it’s not willing to communicate his feelings and the other is demanding it, leaving us to find the answers in Stephen Hawking’s words. With very simple lyrics and with great music Pink Floyd give us the solution to the world greatest problem… the lack of communication. I can see that your reaction is genuine, thanks for the video.
Key, your smile when Gilmour starts playing is priceless. The most beautiful woman on UA-cam, being moved by the greatest guitarist in music history. You know what's coming and you can't help but smile. Any time I listen to floyd my emotions are in the same space as yours.
This man Gilmour certainly does leave one speechless, and the versatility of his musicianship knows no bounds. Glad you are back, you are amazing! You may like to check out PF On The Turning away 1990 live remastered version to see some soul aching stuff!!
She made it all the way through Animals without becoming flustered (no small feat), but this song floored her. I love it! Best song of the concert, and I'm a huge fan of Sorrow. The voice box steals the show.
It's brilliant that David made use of the talk box and Stephen Hawkins in a song named Keep Talking. And yes, I would watch your "re-viewing" of videos like this one. Great to see you and hope you get your blocked videos sorted out.
The Stephen Hawkins sample Is from an old British Telecom advert. The studio version has a much longer sample from it as the intro. ua-cam.com/video/du_iG7Veupc/v-deo.html
I know the songs through and through, I have the pulse dvd (and the rest) so it is certainly not unknown.....strangely enough, your look and reaction during the video clip gives me goosebumps...enjoy it and hopefully more Pink Floyd on your channel besides the songs you've already admired... ;-)
David Gilmour: "IN ANY TONGUE" LIVE POMPEII 2016. HE PLAYED HIS ASS OFF IT GAVE ME THE IMPRESSION THAT IT MAY HAVE BEEN HIS LAST LIVE PERFORMANCE. BUT POMPEII IS WHERE IT ALL GOT STARTED IN I THINK 1967 BUT CHECK IT OUT.
So glad somebody of your age is out there discovering what many other will miss, good music, talented musicians creating true art, not take anything away from today’s artist, but these are truly some of my most favorites😎🤘
Near the beginning you'll hear Steve Hawking speaking with digital voice being quadraplegic. He was a world renouned astro physicist and acclaimed genious who emphasized "keep talking", stressing the value of the flow of information that results in solutions and discovery.
Once again I find my self on your site damm we love same music and I dearly love your taste in music and your reaction keep up the good work dear ladyy all ways Chad Gods Speed
😂😂😂😂😂👍GOOD ONE! KEEP TALKING! SPEECHLESS! 😂👍The sound of the guitar at the end, of the song, who blew your mind, it's called a TALK BOX! It's an effect, between, the mic, the voice, and the guitar! To transform the guitar voice, in human voice! The better one with that was PÉTER FRAMPTON, in a song called DO YOU FEEL LIKE WE DO! If you can listened to it, he's, litteraly talking with the guitar! The drummer in that song is killing it too! AND, YOU'RE, STILL, SO BEAUTIFUL ! GODDESS
You know there are many posers and pretenders out there, and then there are the KEY reactors, and you are one!! I enjoyed this song and your reaction very much!!! And since you are having some vids blocked may I suggest a few songs that will most likely not be blocked? "One Less Bell To Answer" from the Fifth Dimension, "Old Man" from Neil Young live in 1971, "Hi-De-Ho" from Blood Sweat and Tears, "If" by Bread, "The Air That I Breathe" from The Hollies, "Try" by Blue Rodeo, "Superman's Song" from Crash Test Dummies, "Vincent" from Don McLean live in 1972 and "Locomotive Breath" by Jethro Tull live from 1978! Keep up your KEY role on UA-cam!!!
I was one of the lucky blessed persons who saw that show, back then '94 in Basel/Swiss. That wormthing at the end combiend with that sound was just hypnotising in an other way. Just way off. Great fun to watch that reaction.
@@keypressplay9129 ❤️that’s just how I felt in 1994 when pulse came out on CD. I wore that thing out learning all the guitar parts. Trust me, what David does is just incredible. It’s hard to get right.
Even if you are speechless, you Keep Talking through your smile. Well done. Personally, I didn't wait for the approval of your viewers, I took the liberty of listening to this reaction a second time.
“For Millions of years mankind lived just like the animals, until something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination, we learned to talk” - Opening line in “Keep Talking” - Pink Floyd. I consider it one of the all time greatest songs ever written. “It doesn’t have to be like this, all we need to do is keep talking”- “Keep Talking”- Pink Floyd
David Gilmour can not express himself through lyrics but can only talk through his guitar to express his emotions so I guess this is a literal view of him actually talking through his guitar.
You know they actually got Stephen Hawking 2 say those things they had in say some stuff about talking and and they put that in the song which is so cool
Its nice to see you young peoples like you who love this please try listening to Alan Parsons Project A Turn of a Friendly Card since you like PF you'll love these guys 👦
Key Jones ,yr reactions needs alot of work u still young in this game some other reactors that picks up anyrhing guess u still learning and i watxh all yr videos and comment we n3ver get a thank u at all from u wow...i support u
please please please react to great day for freedom live in gdansk, it was performed at the pulse gig but gdansk is the best performance of this masterpiece
Hey! Hi! I really wanna see you every day but I know that's not possible because we are several thousands miles apart! Fantastic song with fantastic reaction! Meanwhile today is India's Independence day (from british rulers) so, Happy Independence Day from India 🇮🇳✊💐
Your reactions are always nice - thanks. If you like Pink Floyd, then I recommend something from their previous work: Echoes - great is this live version from the concert in Gdansk, Poland: ua-cam.com/video/lRgEIuHoq54/v-deo.html This is a real masterpiece!
I know this isn't a very good way to get your attention, but I would like to recommend a band from Finland to you. The band is called Nightwish.. They have a female vocalist that to my mind is, second to none, when it comes female vocalists. Her name is Floor Jansen. She is Dutch singer from the Netherlands. Nightwish hired her in 2112, when their singer fell ill during the middle of their north american tour that year. Here is a link to the singers fave Nightwish song called Ghost Love Score, ua-cam.com/video/47e_961OQWE/v-deo.html This song showcases the multitudes of different vocal abilitiies of a singer. She is a soprano, and operatic and classically trained. She was a vocal coach as well. Let me just say, should you decide to re-act to this song, be prepared for the Nightwish army to bestow you with love and affection like no other. Btw, the reason I saw your re-actions on youtube was because of the Pink Floyd songs you re-acted to. They are my fave all time band. I saw them live in 87, and in 94. I saw how much you enjoyed their music. I just know if you enjoyed Pink Floyd will enjoy Nightwish music as well. The keyboardist, Tuomas Holopainen writes and composes most of their music. The Nightwish army refers to him as a modern day Mozart. All their lyrics are very poetically written. I could go on and on with good things to say about this band, but you'll just have to see for yourself, I guess. lol. Sorry for the lengthy comment, but I just love this band so much, and Floor is the only vocalist in my lifetime of listening to music, that could pierce my soul with every song I've ever heard her sing. Peace out.
One of the most underrated songs of the whole Pulse concert imho. RIP Stepehen Hawking!
Howking after Heinstein 🍀
Just an absolute genius, this man. Gilmour is one of the best guitarists ever. 😀😀

They put more production into this one song, than most bands would put into an entire concert😂
BIG FACTS
It doesn't have to be like this...
All we need to do is make sure we keep talking
This man Gilmour certainly does leave one speechless, and the versatility of his musicianship knows no bounds. Glad you are back, you are amazing! You may like to check out PF On The Turning away 1990 live remastered version to see some soul aching stuff!!
