When all the present troubles of the world just get too much o love to escape to watch Amanda and Clivve and their lovely children...How refreshing to see the way they are being reared ....so in touch with Nature ...devoid of all the addiction to technology.....learning to be caring to each other and the land and their livestock....They are a family to be proud of and all credit to Amanda and Clive for being such hard workers and amazing parents facing those daily challenges .....I hope Chanel 5 will continue to follow the Owens lives as long as possible . ..
One of the best things about this family is how they praise each other..Big Brother Reuben often says "good boy Sid" to his youngest Brother..and you always hear "Good girl" or Good boy" and the childs name....from the other kids..lovely to hear...a good lesson learnt from Mum and Dad
I visited the farm on 22nd July 2021 and I wasn't disappointed. A really great experience that will live in the memory for a long time. Absolutely brilliant to sample the unique atmosphere of a beautiful landscape and see members of the Owen family going about their daily business while the Cream Tea was delicious.
Best program on tv today....so funny at times and just shows you the hard work that goes into running a farm...and with such a large family....👋👍 they all make it look so easy though.
At this farm No one is distressed here, no one is upset here, noone is offended here, noone is whinging here, none is squimish here, everyone doing their best as required here and guess what....... No mental health issues, no boredom, no obesity, no unruly scums - - - just an happy family joy, love and fun - - - - Humanity has returned to sanity - - - I enjoy every minute of this, I find the little girl just adorable
This is one beautifully classy woman, it really beggers belief what she copes with, and the amount of work she has to do, honestly who could cope with that many kids in ordinary curcumstances, and yet she has done it and runs a farm on top of that,. she must have the most well behaved and disciplined kids in the world, they seme to do everythig she says and there is no squabbling or arguing, its just incredeible what she does and what she has achieved,....
Fab programme, and fabulous people doing a hard job, bringing their children up properly, and good on them having a large family, they won`t be lonely, and be able to look after each other. My mother was a Landgirl and always wished she had been a Farmer`s wife, but she married an Engineer.
I grew up in something of that life not so many children of which I was one of 3 at the other end of country it’s just a great life hard work never rich but so rewarding great memories.

Amanda and Clive and the kids are utterly amazing people and they live the absolute dream of a life style. Me and my partner have been four times in the one year and the last trip there is where I proposed to my fiancé in the Sheperds hut. They are the nicest people in the world and the kids are so entertaining and so well behaved and well mannered it’s amazing. I reallllly love that place and am looking forward to going back very soon. I have the same interests as Ruben the eldest son and I have ridden his motorbikes and quads coz it’s summet we both love so wen am there a always make sure we go up and see them all. It’s a peace of heaven here on earth and wen I met Amanda for the first time I was star struck she is my idol and inspiration aswell. I think I am the only person aloud to stay in the hut all year round even wen they close for the winter so it’s extra special for me. If u want peace and quiet and good country food then get yourself there to stay a night in the Sheperds hut it is so relaxing u wudnt believe. They are all great people and I will always be going there every year as much as possible. I am aiming for the same thing as Amanda I want to find the ryt place in the middle of no were and have my own animals and live off the land. Sheperds hut and the Owens are very very good people and the kids just make u smile and even the dogs are characters 😀😀. I will be back there in the next month without a doubt, we first stayed right after Ben fogle was there doing the tv show and now they are doing our Yorkshire farm. Lots of love to them all. She’s not Scottish it’s in Yorkshire and she’s originally from Huddersfield. It’s as about as Yorkshire u can be. She is the Yorkshire shepherdess.....
I said to my husband you could use Amanda Owen as a template for what makes a good mother ........expect a lot from your kids accept little and reward often .....so many of my friends have had one child and said No more ......I can’t believe today how many young women are choosing no children or one child , and they are so traumatised by the experience they will never repeat it !! , we need families of 5-6 children in our white communities.....1.6 isn’t sustainable as a statistic
