In their sector, it's crucial to keep them in touch with the modern world, failing to do so just raises children who cannot compete or engage with the rest of their generation when they fly the nest It's clear that raising that many kids on a farm is not easy and swallows up any profit. Hence the TV paychecks. This family is part of a dying industry and I hope they are raising their children to adapt - which includes some being glued to devices.
Ok, I understand the practicality / necessity, but pawing & playing with the bodies, and definitely the pegging them up by barbed wire through their noses seems unnecessarily cruel & disrespectful. Traditions can be broken.
