It’s not a set in stone fact that someone looks better than another person. In my opinion my friends are the baddest out, period. I’d say the new girl is pretty if she is but I’ll never say she looks better than my friend, which is me being honest.
There’s definitely circumstances when it’s ok to lie. Ur friend’s cooking may not be one of them. But there’s definitely situations in which lying is perfectly acceptable

My mother has told me time and time again that it is more important to be kind than it is to be right. I've spent my life struggling with that to be honest. My mother recently passed, and it just was such an eye opening thing for me. Like, I believe that in a way that I never did before.
