Correction: standard back suspension had both preload and rebound adjustability

Tbf, as a mt 07 rider myself I feel like the breaks are not a downside. The double disk in front does more than the job in my experience.
    Other than that great video!

Yeah sure, they're ok and do a good enough job in my expirience too, but I mean they're basic, a radial mount, some brembo's, maybe even steel lines would be cool, but I'm happy that for the 3rd gen they put some bigger rotors on, so that's good :) some of the competitors near that price range have better brakes, but they're not bad indeed. On track when braking hard and frequently, I felt like I could use some more feel with the braking and the grip of the front tire. I've been thinking about steel lines on mine, so because of that, I put it in the disadvantage list

😂😂😂 that’s hilarious, 4 grams of down force at 60mph 😂😂😂 stops the 3rd gear power wheelies I suppose 😉 great bike without the puig dick extension tbh

All the cons are typical naked bike in this class. For naked street fighters, I had both z650 and MT07 and can honestly say that the MT07 is far better except comfort. The suspension can sort of be fixed with different fork oil (check Dave Moss)
This is a street fighter, nothing else. If you want to go touring, go for tracer 700, off roading, tenere 700. Idk, it feels like you just made cons just for sake of it because all these cons are more to this class and not specific to MT07. No bike is perfect, but for cheap commuting to work and doing some wheelies, this is one of the best options. Change the exhaust and you have the best sounding p2 out there. I´m going to keep my MT07 as a second bike for a looong time and everyone that borrows it gets back with a smile.
CBR650 is perhaps a better option, but my body could not feel comfortable on it.

Great looking MT07! What did you use to paint/wrap/whatever the fairing body piece under the pillion seat? The piece with the Yamaha logo in red. I have Cyan Storm grey version and really dislike that they didn't paint that grey. It is painted black just like it was on yours (as seen from previous videos). I've been looking for either paint or a vinyl wrap to match the the tank. Thanks!

Hey, thanks! I painted it :) The colour code is PDG E3 (Pastel Dark Grey). 3 layers primer, 4 coats of colour and a fat clear high gloss top coat. That last one is difficult to do because of the possible drips btw. I ordered from a company called Motorradlacke (motorradlack.de/). They offer the best shade of primer for the colour you choose :) I agree it should have come that way!

@@Riders_Pulse Thanks for the detailed info! I'm definitely going to do this. I love the grey and that black painted piece seriously needed to match!

Where did you buy puig front spoiler ? I searched all of the listed dealers in EU and could not find it.

I'd like to buy the MT09 ($14,000), but where I live it's $4,000 more than the MT07 ($10,000), so it's a bit out of my price range.
What would you guys do? Is it worth saving up for the mt09 and getting it next year, or buying the mt07 now?

What kind of riding will you do? City or highway, smaller or bigger track? If it's mostly roads untill 90kmph, go mt07, if you're going faster, mt09. The mt07 is a fun bike, lot's of torque, cheap on gas and maintanance but lacks hp and top end. Mt09 is more expensive in everything, but rips riding faster

@@Riders_Pulse Thank you for your reply. I would use the bike mostly for highway riding, 100-140 kph, 3 or 4 hour rides. Based on your information, I think I'll save up some money this year and get the mt09 next summer.

@@John_B52_HEMI Personally if I were in your position I'd think about something with fairings if you're gonna do highway riding that long. Naked bikes get very tiresome at high speeds over long periods of time due to the wind.

get a GSX-S1000... they run around $11K and are much better bikes.

good video review.. not a good bike. you were very fair with the review. all bikes have good and bad points.
