@fritsfelix8423 it’s always nice to find that deal but the Akro is intended for this motorcycle and it might save you in the long run buying the quality part. 😎
I have the same bike and fully agree with your observations. I think Yamaha was trying to keep the price low by not adding a higher end suspension. There are some people that spent a $1500+ dropping a high end aftermarket suspension and claim it made a HUGE difference. I think Yamaha also didn't want to take away sales from the MT09 that has those upgrades. Bottom line is for price the MT07 is hard to beat. Great bike!
I can see the logic in this especially the bit about taking sales from the Mt09. But also I believe the mt09 in std trim is marginally better and the sp is really where the suspension actually was rectified
@@Paramoto959 apparently a lot of people said the standard Mt09 felt wonky and suspension wasn't confidence inspiring in the corners and also people tried fixing it with suspension upgrades however this still didn't fix the issue so people started to feel it was chassis related.

I have a 36 gallon tank in my truck and it feels like I have to get gas once a year. Amazing feature. Range is arguably the most important attribute of any vehicle but it gets sacrificed for other stats, even for the F35. 3.7 gal tank sucks. You're right they should have done 5 and customers would have loved that.
Been riding the MT07 for about a year now. Biggest weak points: floaty, soft suspension and the on-off throttle is pretty bad. You feel exactly what your front tire is doing, yet it feels very numb. I started testing more bikes and noticed that almost every other bike got a better suspension and throttle feel. The throttle has a long way to open up, yet its jerky when opening it as soft as possible. Combine that with strong engine breaking and the springy suspension and this bike is basically just a stunt bike..
@@Paramoto959 That's true. And you can't stop smiling while riding. Even if you're riding home in the cold at night after 5 hours of slaying asphalt. Every downshift sounds orgasmic..

For me at least none of the things you described are really an issue, I can live with them without noticing, they really are not important. What I do think on the other hand this bike really needs is a slipper clutch and traction control. Not everyone needs the brutal power and the snatchy throttle of the bike. It would open it for a wider market and make it safer (you can always disengage TC).
Lowering tire pressure to 28 and 32 the bike feels more stable. Also, lowering the front forks half an inch. Cranking down the rear shock help too. World of difference.
Yeah I def see that. I prefer it over mushy though which some of these bikes can be. I prefer to think of it as a more positive mechanical feel, rather then clunky. But I really gotta force myself to think positive these days. #old and grumpy 🤣🤣
I'm uncertain about getting this "machine" because there's little information available on how to use it as a delivery driver.
