As a Texas fan I can agree Texas has been the most over hyped team for the better part of this last decade, But this year is truly truly different, coaches last year were saying last year Texas had a top 3 roster in CFB and that still holds true for this year.. I know we’re coming into a harder conference but it’s crazy that the best Texas has been is coming just at the right time
Yeah I unfortunately have to agree. I'm a big LSU fan and am from Baton Rouge and finally took a good gander at the 2024 Texas Longhorns this past Monday and went in with the mindset of expecting Texas being a good to great team with a max ceiling of 10-2 for 2024 season and figured 9-3 finish more likely, but after looking over the roster along with their schedule which sets up favorably for Tex success imo with UT getting Georgia at home, and Michigan week 2 which I expect Tex to be favored in but not a must win non-conference game, and after that saw no other game that UT shouldn't be favored in and win if they stick to business other than Oklahoma a toss up and always a good one and A&M will be a fun one... That y'all have no business losing in a normal head-2-head unless plagued by injuries etc.... so I actually have Texas now as my SEC team with the second best odds to make it to Atlanta for sec championship game where they'll face the team with best odds to make it in Georgia for a rematch where the loser will be knocked out of playoff race only under the condition that they also lost the regular season game aka if Texas lost to Georgia at home and then in sec championship they're out even if its only 2 losses allowing a 2 loss sec team to go in that scenario instead
@@crammons7330 thank you bro most of the Texas haters don’t really look at our team, they just look at the past and the media and believe everything they see nor hear, even Nick saban the GOAT of the SEC and college football ripped on Texas saying they “ain’t gonna run the SEC” but he still picked Texas and Georgia to play in Title game because he knows Texas roster is 2nd to none right now, I don’t mind the haters but give credit to where credit is due
@kelshotss As a Mountaineer fan, I can say you all had a great season last year and have a solid SEC ready team. I think the thing that makes people doubt you all is the fact that especially over the last decade, anytime you all are supposed to be good everyone prematurely says "Texas has their swagger back!" and you all have fallen short. I think you all need a few good years before people put stock in Texas being "back". Let's Go Mountaineers!
What makes Finebaum such an authority and legend in his own mind on college football ? I think he's a Tennessee alumni, whose been so far up Nick Sabans' backside he hasn't been able to see day light for Sabans' tenure at Alabama. Finebaum apparently just hates Clemson and Dabo Sweeney ( Alabama Alum and football player ) for beating Alabama in the National Championship games. Finebaum crashes on Sweeney every chance he gets.
According to Paul, an 11-0 Alabama risk injury in the Iron Bowl instead of resting players for the SEC championship. Ditto for UGA, Texas, FSU in that same situation
Once November rolls around and teams are very close in records with playoff positioning on the line. Nobody who is still in the running is going to be “taking a game off”. It could be the difference between hosting a 1st round CFP game at home vs traveling to Ohio State in the middle of December to play that game.
That’s not what he meant lmaooo he literally said the teams that have already clinched a playoff spot or even a first round bye that means the last game or whatever is pointless so rest the starters for the playoffs instead of playing them in a pointless game lol
Finebomb must have friends in all the right places to still have his gig ...it is easy to see that nobody really likes him...nobody can predict how anything will play out in College football....we know the powerhouses yes...but we may not see any undefeated teams this year...as well when the difference between winning and loosing in many games is such a fine line...the best team doesn't always win....that is why we love College football...

You guys made this big news, not dabo. When do you do the video thanking dabo for saying things that the desperate media world ca wave in the air
He’s not wrong
The idea that an undefeated Clemson would rest starters against South Carolina is hilarious. His office would be cleared out by Sunday morning. 😂
So Paul doesn't know much about the actual game of football, but he's an expert on it🤔...smh
Coach Deboer was not even done talking at the end and you cut him off. Next time, how about letting him finish his sentence, before you end the video?.
Greeny and Finebaum should have their own show where Greeny invents controversies out of thin air and Finebaum gets angry and yells about them. Feed into what they are both good at.
If they wanted to expand the playoffs it shoulda been 6-8 teams MAX
Nick tryna teach Paul bump and run is hilarious😂
😂😂😂😂😂Nick Sabsn and Paul is classic
3:42 I’m confused guys was already skipping bowl games before, how is this gonna make any different 🤔
Skipping regular season games because the games no longer matter.
Texas is not a heavy hitter.
Of course he's right, he's just the only one to come out and say it.
No,Dabo isn’t. The teams’’ fates aren’t decided on the field.
Arch Manning against Georgia would be incredibly interesting.
A few players might remember his recruitment and make him regret his decision.
I'd be worried about putting my stamp on it later. My first priority would be to win. 😂
Why is Texas allowed in the South Eastern Conference
Paul should get into coaching. He knows more than anyone else.
Finebaum speaks the truth and it’s sometimes uncomfortable.. he has more power than most if not all coaches in the country.
The regular season isn’t gonna be as good. We’ll see
It still blows my mind how the buckeyes let ewers walk up out of there. He should have started as freshman
I hope fsu is ranked 13th at the end of the seson
