The Ioniq 5 is currently my "really, really want it" car. I always wanted a Lancia Delta HF Integrale back in the day, and this looks quite similar to it. Love the technology aspects of the Ioniq 5 too, with the Kia EV6 also a strikingly good looking car, both being part of the same company, they are offering serious competition to the likes of Tesla/Polestar/Rivian etc.

@@samleyton5316 I share your sentiment but I've come to accept where we are in the timeline. It would take alot of laws to be passed and infrastructure for us to have flying cars in every driveway. Couple that with the fact that alot of people cant drive responsibly on ground, not sure how safe it would be for us to be zooming around in the air until we have better AI perhaps. That being said, I wish they could put concept cars into production at least but that's not gonna happen either. So this and the Cybertruck are the closest things we have to futuristic looking vehicles right now.

I've had mine nearly two weeks now and love it. I've found the seats very comfortable. I went for the rear wheel 212HP for max range. It still feels quick but the 4 wheel drive must be amazing. I had a 140 mile run out in it last weekend and got 4.6 mikes/kWh which is not bad at all for a big car. I used to get 5 miles/kWh in my i3S with gentle driving which is a much lighter car.

After a whole year of leasing one, I'm going to furiously proclaim,...
It's brilliant. It just is. Couple of minor gripes - the stereo system isn't great (and the DAB radio refused to pick up DAB until it was updated over the air a few months back). Materials in the front are a bit cheap on anything but the highest trim, too. But that's it.
It drives beautifully, is immensely comfortable when cruising at motorway speeds, the regen braking system is PERFECTLY judged, it has a vast interior, it's nippy, disguises its size well.
Quiet, stylish, fun, relaxing, very efficient in summer months (middling in the depths of winter if you don't get the heat pump) and, so, costs pennies to run.
    It's just a really great car.😊
