    It was time for some satellite contacts using the ‪@tidradio‬ TD-H3 as I was curious how it works. Turns out it does a great job. A quick video on satellite contacts using ‪@ARISSlive‬.
    Thank you all for the nice QSO's.

    DX Explorer is a channel with amateur radio related videos on: schematics, reviews, homebrewing and much more.
    I am passionate about amateur radio since childhood. I got back into the hobby in 2016, while living aboard my sailboat. I received my license in 2022. I like QRP mostly, experimenting with all modes. But I am old school, so I prefer SSB or CW.

    Ha ha it's one of the best hobbies, you have to be ready day and night😂. I have never done any satellite contacts, one day I have to try it😃

      The TX frequency always remains the same as its all on the 2m band so I only make changes on the TX frequency. I have 5 channels programed into the radio for each satellite. When the ISS appears on the horizon I am on 437,810MHz... then as it gets closer I change to 437,805... when is right up 437,800 and so on until is gone )). I change the channels by eye looking at the app or by ear. When it starts to sound bad I know is time to move to the next channel basically )). 73, YO6DXE.

    Chiar in seara asta am ascultat o trecere... Am incercat sa si emit dar e mai greu cu o singura statie sa te lupti cu doppler shift-ul.

      Eu am programat frecventele in canale si practic doar schimb canalul la urmatorul... e super usor asa. Si se simte imediat cand trebuie schimbat pentru ca se aude cum se pierde propagarea. Mi-a fost aiurea cu doua statii ca incercam sa si monitorizez cu una, insa e mai comod fara. Daca merge merge daca nu nu ))).

      Both are just as good. I prefer KM601S when I work at home... or KM602 if portable as is a little smaller. But 95% of the time I am on the 601S.

    What is the downlink frequency?

    • @dxexplorer
      @dxexplorer  2 місяці тому +1

      Here in Romania is 437.800MHz, but it depends on the location where you are and also you must take in consideration the position of the ISS in order to make minor frequency adjustments. Here is a link with some really useful info that got me started.

      I hope it helps. And also on amsat.uk there is a lot of good info as well. 73, YO6DXE
