Here's a fantastic song by Phoenix, and a fantastic rendition by the PS22 Chorus of 2010! I love this point in the year. The kids pick stuff up really quick -- only two rehearsals to get this performance! And you know the kids are coming into their own when every new video posted becomes a new favorite! Btw, this is my new favorite.....

I love the fact that these children look so relaxed, confident and at ease. They're openly expressing themselves and having fun - this must be doing absolute wonders for their self-esteem. What an excellent project.

Ahhh I remember seeing this when I was around the 4th grade and now I'm a high school senior as well! Time really flies, hope you and the rest of the other kids in this video are doing well slayin senior year!
I was a junior when this particular video came out. That's pretty crazy. I remember wishing my high school choir could sound half as beautiful as your elementary school choir.

Watching this for the first time in 2022 and looking at all the comments from 12 years ago fills me with a certain indescribable emotion. Like even though I missed out on this moment initially, the energy is still presence and tangible all these years later. I have a feeling that if I had seen this years ago while in middle school transitioning into high school, this would’ve had a direct impact on the trajectory of my life. Im grateful for where I am now, but this video makes me daydream about where I could be.

I keep replaying this video, I really wish I had a music teacher like you when I was in grade school. I mean I always loved music but if we sang songs like this I think it would have made a bigger impact on me. If everyone in the world were connected to music like these kids are the world would be a better place. People need to realize the kind of power music really has.

This is my favourite UA-cam video. And I know a lot of "that kind of stuff" these days.. I watch it everyday and each time the song and the little personalities give me shivers. I'm a teacher myself (arts and English in Germany)

When I need to feel emotion that is evoked by music. I find my way to this video. Everyone in this, the diversity, the range it displays. It makes me feel like the world is okay. Despite the ugly that goes on. I’m reminded beautiful things like this exist & I cry every time. Just a little bit. Just enough to let out a few tears, but I feel it. The moment is there. I can hold it.
I fell in love with choir all 4 years of HS and I still do. I can’t believe how much time is passing 😭😩😭💕💜 we were so little, and I honestly miss how simple life was and how we played outside, how we dressed, how we looked, the energy we had.. I’m 27 and I’m grateful for who I am becoming.❤️ we’ve all come a long way and our out here navigating through life.

I wish I had a music teacher like this when I was in school. Seeing pretty much every kid in the video put emotion into the songs / be passionate about what they're singing is incredible. They sound great as well, finding music they truly enjoy makes it that much better.
