@@KentToneworks I fully agree! I use the Mesner a lot, as a stand alone always on and as well as stacking drives with it. I sold my broken Arrow but still have the Mesner. The broken Arrow wasn't for me but I do use the Bloom and absolutely love it. I tend to use the blue side of the Bloom the most but I also use the Magenta like you as well.
I found the Boost and EQ on the bloom completely useless without their own output controls. You could never just stomp on one or the other in any combination without having to make adjustments to the compressor levels. The compressor was the great though but couldn't justify keeping it for that alone (with unusable to me, other functionality) so I went with the greer lamplighter and chellee compy compressors. I regretted selling the El Capistan for the Volante as tone wise the El cap is superior IMO. Sold the volante (quickly) for the Source Audio Nemesis and didn't look back. Although I want another EL capistan soon since there is just nothing else like it. Sorry If i sound like I'm hating. I'm not just have a bad 2019 taste in my mouth for those pedals. YOUR TONES on the other hand with this great sounds great.
Interesting, I don't experience it the same way. But I am glad you found what works for you. Nick Greer makes great stuff as well. That's the beauty of guitar effects I guess, we all experience and use them, and hear them in different ways to get our own unique sound.
Very cool and clean board. I'm a bit surprised you don't use the Bloom Compressor's "Bloom" function to drive the Broken Arrow. It's like having another potential level of gain. I guess it's awkward to reach it since the compressor is in back.
You all prolly dont care but does someone know of a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I love any assistance you can give me.
@Amir Drake I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hi Curtis, well done on the video, very informative. Nice clean board with some great pedals too. Several people have commented below regarding the Saleh Quartz. You say currently you're only using it for BPM tempo. Seeing as you have the Volante on there (it's an amazing pedal by the way!), have you had the chance to use the Quartz to develop MIDI presets for the various delays on the Volante? Seems like you could have a ton of options at the ready and open up the variety of your overall board too.
I honestly have not bothered to set it up with Midi yet, I currently don't even own a midi cable! ha. I just was talking with Creation to order one of their midi cables yesterday. So hopefully I can get this sorted out in the future.
@@KentToneworks I don't have a Quartz quite yet but from what I've read and seen it's really nice, presets, song presets, set lists, all sorts of ways to use MIDI with a small simple interface without the "requirement" for a large floor stomp pad. I like that. Let me know what you think if you get her all hooked up :-)
Do you notice any dip in the physical pedalboard when pushing in the volume pedal? Had that problem with another brand but I’m hoping this one may be stronger. Thanks.
Beautiful board and killer gear, as always! Curious what made you go with the Benson Earhart rather than the Monarch Combo? I’m considering the two right now and have been in love with the Monarch for years but never played an Earhart (and don’t want to exclude something that may be exactly what I’m looking for!)
Jared, thanks for the kind words! I spent most of my time in the British Mode on the Monarch... and so I thought I would try the Earhart, its a less known model so hopefully it helps spread the word. Its an absolute KILLER amp! I love it. I loved my old Matchless Lighting and Chieftain amps as well.. slightly different beasts!
Hey Curtis what Risers did you use & How did you do it? I have a small Pedaltrain Nano ( Acoustic Pedalboard ) and need a little Lift to fit my Zuma. Nice Tones for 2020. Compact & Versatile.
Jackson audio IMO is a keeping up with the jones' for worship musicians. Along with some other pedals that literally every guitarist uses in church. Will never be one of those guys. We should all have our own sound not all sound like Jeff Kunde and Nigel Hendroff. Especially not for $300 a pedal
Believe me, you should work on your guitar skills rather than spending fortunes on equipment...except for the Strymon Volante I've never seen any of these pedals but it's expected and very sad we live in an age where many "musicians" are far more preoccupied with their pedals, guitars and amps than actually playing or making music.
@@KentToneworks FWIW I actually prefer the way you demo gear/the style you play - no ridiculous shredding or over the top riffs, just similar chords from video to video so you actually can hear the differences between gear.
Great review
thank you so much. Still using this board in May 2022. no changes.
That's the cleanest board ever.I love that broken arrow.
This is the cleanest, compact pedalboard I have seen
thanks
Cool. I like it.
thank you
Neat, Clean, All - Possible Best pedal board ever seen.
Amazingly Well Figured. Even could sense aesthetic, sensivity, character of you
Wow, thanks! appreciate the kind words!
Very cool setup, Curtis! Thanks for sharing this.
you are welcome! Thanks so much for viewing!
Your cable management is making me drool.
I just got a Volante love it
Really cool and innovative 🤘
I try! thanks.
Do you have the foot extension kit installed?
yes!
Great video bro! But the white air forces though! 🔥
HAHA! thanks dude. you are my inspiration!
Curtis Kent na no way bro! I’ve looked up to you for years now! Keep killing the game!
The way you have the Broken Arrow set it sounds a lot like the Mesner, Walrus Audio, pedal that you used to use. It sounds great!
interesting observation. Both are definitely great in my books!

Your foot was coming in from a weird angle, did you put your hand in your shoe so that you didn’t look funny using your hand on the foot-switch?
Devin Holmes has to be a hand in a shoe. Now I can’t not see it
Bahahahaaa hahaha
100% a hand in shoe
I tried to build a small board and its still has 11 pedals smh.
Great demo. That Broken Arrow has some great features. In fact there’s not a bad pedal on that board.
Thank you!
When are we gonna get some new content man? Love your stuff btw

Not at all. I've had that too but not with this! super strong board.

Love this board! I am curious though as to why you have the Quartz on there, since the Volante has onboard tap tempo? Does it have presets?
The Quartz sends preset BPM's to the Volante.
@@KentToneworks gotcha. Sweet setup man!
What do you use the quartz for?
Just to send BPM to the Volante.

Should of chose a different mic as well
ok
What volume pedal is that?
He tells you in the video but it’s a Snobel Tone modded pedal where he puts in a polytune tuner.
thanks Nigel!

Thanks for the tips! I'm actually a vocalist/rhythm player. Vocal lessons and taking care of my voice is a higher priority right now.
