- Al-Jazari was a scientist, inventor, mathematician, and the first Arab mechanical engineer. He became famous for inventing machines, many of which were automatic, including the Elephant Clock and mechanical devices like the crankshaft by using robotics.

He was Arab. The area of Diyar Bakir (which includes Jazirat Omar) was an area inhabited by Arabs from the Bakir tribe. Just because you claim this area is "Kurdistan" does not change history.

I think you're missing a piece of history. Arabs conquered many areas and had progeny in those areas, one of them is Anatolia, just because an Arab was born there doesn't make him of Anatolian or Turkish origin. Recall that the Turks by the masses came in the area only in the 12th century, during that time, portion of Anatolia was already part of the Islamic world

@@arctos333 He is Kurdish and lived and served Kurdish courts of Ayyubids. He was born in Kurdish town of Cezire (Jazira) between Mardin and Hakkari and where his name comes from. He lived in Kurdish capital Diyarbakir where he presented a SHN clock gift for the grand mosque (Mizgefta Mezin/ Ulu Cami) and his grave is in Kurdish city of Mardin where he has a school and left many other gifts for the city behind him. So yes, Al Jazeri is a Kurdish scientist who has studied in famous Kurdish university (Medresa Sor) at that time.
