- Brihadishvara Temple, also called Rajarajesvaram or Peruvudaiyar Kovil, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the largest South Indian temple and an exemplary example of a fully realized Tamil architecture. It is called as Dhakshina Meru of south. Built by Raja Raja Chola I between 1003 and 1010 AD, the temple is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Great Living Chola Temples", along with the Chola dynasty era Gangaikonda Cholapuram temple and Airavatesvara temple that are about 70 kilometres (43 mi) and 40 kilometres (25 mi) to its northeast respectively.

Hi,Adhibagawan created adhiyogi is actually wrong both r the same person SHIVA, Adhibagawan is actually a TAMIL word,it is even mentioned in thirukural so Sanskrit can't explain it's meaning in it.'Adhi' means old and 'bagawan' comes from Words like 'vagavan' meaning master at different fields and 'Kayalayum' means a different meaning not like how Sanskrit describes.sanskrit has adopted more than half of Tamil words without knowing it's correct meaning that's the problem for all the confusion. Tamil being a metaphorical language will have more than 1 meaning for all the words. Now we came to the point,SPLIT KAYALAYUM, KAYAL+AYUM,KAYAL means fishes and it even means stars 🌟 what we c in the sky ,we say without even knowing the meaning of 'Vinmeen' which actually means stars but we think it as a imaginary spices . AYAM meant always depth SO combine this two 'living in the depth with fishes' and this in Tamil has 2 meaning ,1st meaning I just derived.second meaning means ' living in the depth of stars'. To say it simple it is cosmos.
Just thought of mentioning because sanskrit has ruined Tamil history and made it a like a myth and most of us don't even know our history.

Also i feel like tanjore temple is in the shape of pyramid.
Big base -> above base is bit smaller --> then more smaller. It goes in this hierarchy.
So assume when it goes in pyramid hierarchy, when sun rises or sets, the shadow will try to reach the earth surface. but before it reaches earth surface, it might end up on the bottom base. thats how it is technically build. No other temples build in this way.
