I have enjoyed your Christmas Series it is so nice seeing all those places and different cultures but all reunite under the same spirit of Peace, Cheers !!!
Thank you so much for joining us on the journey! Although there won’t be Christmas, we have a ton of fun travel plan for 2025. I can’t wait to share all the delicious food we can find!
I cheer for your journey. Your stories inspire me to dream of traveling to various places around the world. Wishing you health, happiness, and good fortune always.
@ in Sweden they do a breakfast from the old loggers that’s a heavy pancake with lingonberry sauce called Kolbulle and real thick bacon Its hard to find but a few places do it in small towns it’s really good If you ever get a chance you’ll enjoy it if you can find it
If it is sour and red then it most likely is lingonberry sauce or jam. We Estonians like to eat lingonberry during Christmas. It looks like cranberry but tastes very different. It grows in many marshes and forests of Estonia.
Thanks 1 million for this awesome comment! We’re so sad to see the Christmas series and we’re gonna post the best things that we ate in 2024 and we are so excited to travel even farther in 2025! Happy New Year!🎊
Very enjoyable to watch, im so happy you're in my country :)) Most of us are shy but we really like Americans and love talking to them because of your culture. Don't be afraid to critique aswell! many food channels dont give critiques.
True true! Thanks so much for this awesome comment and watching our videos. We can be critical sometimes but usually end up editing that out because regardless if we like something or not people work very hard at their business and we would feel bad discrediting them. But if we ever say it’s “ok” or this was a truly memorable experience” it usually means we hated it😂
So sad the Christmas Market series is ending. Enjoying the markets vicariously through you guys this year while eating half price lebkuchen from The Fresh Market! 😂 Can’t wait for what’s next! Happy New Year!
Thanks so much for watching! We're so excited to keep traveling in 2025! This was one of the best ideas we’ve ever had and made some lifetime memories. Now excuse us while we find something a little warmer 😂
I love the christmas markets that you guys visit, they are beautiful. I couldnt eat reindeer soup, it would really upset my whole experience, but I guess each to their own and thats ok too.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. We’re glad that you enjoyed this Christmas series. It was such a fun one to record. I was interesting, trying reindeer. We just thought that it was such a unique experience. It was too much to pass up.
Many of us locals have stopped visiting the chirstmas market because the prices have gotten so high, I remember back in like 2014 a cup of glögi would only cost like maximum 2 euros. But i am glad you enjoyed!
After Christmas dinner we went to the Christmas market with our families, 11 people. We had brought gingerbread and mulled wine with thermos. Didn't spend a penny on the market. As prices have risen, the assortment has fallen.
Thanks so much! We totally understand. We don’t have very many rich Holliday markets like these back home so for us it was a treat. We started going to the Europe Christmas markets in 2014 and the fact that prices have more than doubled in that time is crazy.
Come to Alaska, we have Reindeer Sausage, Reindeer Hot Dogs, and of course, people that hunt make Moose Everything!! Bear is very different tasting depending on what they eat. Not for everyone. All your Christmas Market videos have been amazing!! Actually ALL your videos are amazing!!
That’s right!! We’ve watched some Alaska videos before but have never been able to visit! In fact it’s one of the few states we haven’t been to. We will work on changing that for sure, we have a good friend who spends his summers up there! Thank you so much for all the love and support and Happy New Year!
We know that some places start earlier and some stay open into January. We want to start a random weekend long Christmas Market but have it in the middle of summer🤣
Memory game. In which country and city did the tradition of decorating the Christmas tree begin? The correct answer is the country Estonia, formerly Livonia, the city Tallinn, formerly known as Reval, in 1444.
In Latvia they say it was Riga :D But definitely it seems like it originated in Livonia, the tradition... which is cool :)) Anyway at the time we were the same ''country'', Latvia and Estonia
We think they are called poferterjles. 🤣 we’ve never been able to spell it but we always enjoy hitting them. We went on a Holland Cruz one time and they had these that you could get all you can eat whenever you wanted we ate so many.
Every nationality in this region have potatoes pancakes, so no one can say from where it comes. In Latvia it's definitely national food, almost every one love eating it. Belarus also think it's theys.
I have heard that the Tallinn Christmas Market like most Eastern European Christmas markets is mediocre compared to the German and Austrian Christmas markets including the German and Austrian small city ones too. What is your opinion of the Tallinn Christmas market and the ones in Prague Riga, and Gdańsk?
Yes, I guess you enjoy German Christmas market like the one happened couple of days ago with little child no more here with us. 😮 I my self enjoy safe and mediocre East Europe one any minute than German, Austrian one when you never know do you come home or not. I give you a little credit at least you write city name, Tallinn, correctly.

That was actually something that surprised us a little bit we thought that it would not be quite so expensive. It wasn’t the most expensive place we’ve ever visited wasn’t the cheapest. #worthit

I used to live in Ann Arbor (USA). It hosts big art fair each year. We used to say "It ain't Art, and it's not Fair". We hated it, but of course we were not the target audience. It was, in retrospect, a nice event. We were just bitter about what it took away from us for 3 days. Same is true of this Christmas Market. I live in Tallinn now and Christmas is quite lovely here. Ignore the locals complaining. It happens everywhere. The locals are not the target audience.
Totally understand, the inflation these days is crazy and standards are definitely headed in the wrong direction. That being said we did find some gems and we really enjoyed our time at the Christmas Markets this Holliday season. Happy new year!
This is said really well, thank you. We wanted to visit a Christmas market in San Diego when we got home because prices would be almost triple there haha. $50 would get you inside and a hot cocoa.
Americans like myself are always missing the double "ii"s and "nn"s and etc... This language is hard! That being said, "Tallin" just looks wrong and insulting (after living here). Both sides are valid. It's Christmas, chill! :).

Lingonberry is probably what’s on the soup and it’s great
Ahhh that’s true! We don’t typically have Lingonberry in the states so that’s why we didn’t recognize it. The only place we can get it is IKEA.😂

That mini pancakes stand is there all year long, i love them with raspberry jam 😊
Should’ve gotten the jam for sure! It looked permanent but we weren’t sure.. what a great little treat year round!
Thank you for all the Christmas market tours!
We hope we inspired you to visit some Christmas Markets soon! We should’ve had a calorie counter instead of a money counter😂
@ Indulge! It happens only once a year!
I’ve enjoyed your tour series. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for sad to see Christmas go but happy to see 2025 arrive! We have many more delicious destinations to come so stay tuned!
i like how she`s talking about -6 degrees celsius as if it was - 20 ... so cute 😆☺

Hahahah totally! Where we live it almost never goes below 10😆. We were freezing

-6 degrees? i replaced a car engine outside on Friday and it was +3.4 degrees LoL

They have Glühwein there too? How was it?
Of course. Everyone has it.
It was good but we preferred the drink with the orange berries in it! It had so many different flavors and it’s supposedly very healthy for you.
8 euros per cup. Even the beer is cheaper :D
no Lithuania?! (im not from there but still...)

Misspelling Tallinn as "Tallin" is quite offensive for Estonians as that was the intentional misspelling officially done during the Soviet occupation.
While it is true it is also obvious that they are not aware of that. I think it was just a mistake, that’s all.
might be a mild annoyance at best. i find your comment more offensive as it suggests estonians are extremely easily offended.
