Raushan is a very talented singer but she did not have as much training as her brother. She will be no singer and that is sad but even more beautiful because she does what she whant to do and that is the most important. (I thought she does art school.) And don't worry Dimash did not show his best because there are better versions of this song.
Dimash says that Raushan has a strong voice but she is shy. He also said that he was also shy at her age (she's 16 here). This is a concert that the president attended and it was her first performance, so that might be the reason she held back a bit. She doesn't want to pursue singing seriously and is currently studying medicine. She sounds so sweet because she is so sweet. A lovely person, just like her brother.

That was her debut at this concert of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan in Astana (now Nur-Sultan) with the participation of the head of state and the minister for culture and sport in April 2018. Raushan is very shy ... but her big brother is there. In the meantime, she has left the music college because she loves science, but above all mathematics. She received a scholarship to study at Astana Medical University to become a doctor. Dimash is in fact rewriting the rules of the game. He is pushing the boundaries which seemed impossible just a few years ago. If there ever was a "complete" singer/performer, Dimash is the closest anyone has ever been to it.
Oh my gosh you laughing made me laugh as well! When I first saw this, I knew DImash had to pull out all of the stops for the dignitaries, and I knew his sister doesn't really sing much. Therefore I thought nothing of it. If you aren't expecting it, though, it does look like he's really showing his poor sister up! 🤣 DImash is always very respectful in any other duets I've seen, and definitely doesn't show up his partners. His sister has a beautiful voice. Great reaction!

His sister's voice is so comforting honestly. Dimash is Dimash...but that was such a pleasant unexpected surprise. I really want to hear more of her sound, it's thick, meaty, and enveloping. His voice is like a long, thin ribbon on a cloud, and her sound is like a healthy stew put together by a newlywed whos a little nervous about her skill, but you can tell there's love in every ingredient.

Great reaction! I don’t think she has been trained vocally (I could be wrong), she’s just pure talent...you don’t hear more of her because she’s not a singer, there’s actually only two videos of her singing. Dimash once said that she has a good voice but she decided to become a doctor, she’s studying medicine. Raushan is a smart girl who obviously could have chosen a career in music as the rest of her talented family (both parents singers, big brother Dimash and baby brother Mansur who plays the Dombra) but have decided to become a medical doctor and is currently in med school. Dimash is maturing fine. He has become a great performer who interprets the songs he sing. Less "show off" as in some of these earlier performances. To me he is the complete singer and I can listen to him sing anything. Have you watched Karagym-ai? Not about his coloratura, just pure emotions. Greetings from Sweden.
Great to see and hear you react to Dimash again! I love her voice too, really sweet and beautiful, but it’s not her choice to be in the spotlights. Crazy machine, not human 😅 yes, that’s Dimash. Actually, I read somewhere that she blocked at the end and Dimash rescued her and took over and made it look like this was how the song was arranged. If you look well, you see her hesitate and turn away from the microfoon, and Dimash jumping in. Just sooo sweet, big brother. But loooots of 👏🏻 for Raushan, I would wett my paints there on stage!!

Personally, as much as I think Dimash is an amazing vocalist (probably the greatest ever,) I do feel that he goes over the top when it comes to cover songs. When songs are written for him or if he writes his own stuff then sure go nuts. But taking famous tracks (not necessarily this one) and moving the key up 1 billion times doesn’t always make it sound good as a song. I think people marvel at the vocal range too much and don’t objectively look at the cover songs as a whole.
To be fair, only some cover versions. There is no need to exaggerate. There are dozens of songs, which Dimash actually sang much more soulfully, emotionally and at the same time strongly than the original performers: "Sinful Passion", "SOS", "Hello", "Mademoiselle Hyde", "Love Like a Dream", "Vocalise", "Daybreak", etc.
This particular version of the song "All by my self" is not my favorite, but that does not mean that Dimash adds vocal acrobatics in absolutely every performance. That's not true.

Dear Linor!😍💗 I'm glad you're back! Congratulations to your baby! I wish you much happiness and health! Actually, Dimash & his little sister (Raushan, means Rose) sang 2 songs at this event. The other was a simple but beautiful, emotional Kazakh love song (Dudarai), where Dimash didn’t shine beyond his sister ( as he usually he support his duet partners). For All By Myself, the audience expected Dimash to perform this very spectacular version of the way he sang it in the Singer competition. Dimash’s parents are acclaimed singers, in addition his father is a music producer, the whole family is musical. The parents consider it important that all children receive music education, not only because of their literacy, but also because it contributes to their spiritual and personality development. Raushan has a beautiful voice and talent, but she became more interested in physics and mathematics, starting her studies at medical university last year. It's a pity , cuz she could be a wonderful singer! I love her warm & tender tembre. The principle of their parents is to support the children in everything they want to do, to achieve. (In an interview, their mother, Svetlana, was asked what the secret was that she had managed to raise Dimash so well, that he had become such a good person, and that he had achieved such outstanding success. She said it is really simple: never break a child’s dreams, just support in everything! (And she said that when Dimash said from the age of 2-3, he would be as famous as MJ and he would sing on the world stage - she couldn't believe it, she smiled to himself, saying Just dream, my child!) Oh, and maybe you are interseted to see Dimash singing with his mom & dad together, to hear their voice too... Hi Linor. Nice to see you again - we missed you very much. Congratulations on the birth of your baby! :) It seems to me that you have never reacted to Dimash's Kazakh songs. It is impossible to really get to know him without listening to these songs - that's where his culture and tradition are, next to his heart. In addition, he has matured greatly in the last year or two, his voice has even evolved and perfected. He completed his master's degree in composition last year (with honors) and began his doctoral studies in musicology. He is currently working on an album dedicated to Kazakh songs. I highly recommend you listen to SAMALTAU from the Tokyo Jazz Festival - no less than a masterpiece! The festival aired online because of the COVID-19, Dimash performed in his studio at home, accompanied by 2 traditional instruments (+ other instruments on playback). The song has an interesting back story, I recommend you look for the translation before listening to the song.

I heard a little bit at the end a mix of Azerbaijan sounds coming from his mouth. Like sounds of chants they do also done in the Middle East He is so versatile & mind blowing. I cannot stop listening to his voice Pure magical complex & several perfected styles all in one person I would pay to go see him in concert
I think Dimash gave his sister just a taste of the stage to see how she feels about it. We know she is so shy she probably said, don't leave me on my own too much. She is studying to be a doctor and that may be where her heart lies.

I don't think Dimash's sister will have had anything like as much training as Dimash because, I believe, in Kazhak tradition, the eldest son's education is taken over by the grandparents and Dimash's grandparents started Dimash's singing training from the age of five whereas, I don't think his sister will have had much training. Raushan is a smart girl who obviously could have chosen a career in music as the rest of her talented family (both parents singers, big brother Dimash and baby brother Mansur who plays the Dombra) but have decided to become a medical doctor and is currently in med school.
Dimash is maturing fine. He has become a great performer who interprets the songs he sing. Less "show off" as in some of these earlier performances. To me he is the complete singer and I can listen to him sing anything. Have you watched Karagym-ai? Not about his coloratura, just pure emotions. Greetings from Sweden.

Actually, I read somewhere that she blocked at the end and Dimash rescued her and took over and made it look like this was how the song was arranged. If you look well, you see her hesitate and turn away from the microfoon, and Dimash jumping in. Just sooo sweet, big brother. But loooots of 👏🏻 for Raushan, I would wett my paints there on stage!!

Personally, as much as I think Dimash is an amazing vocalist (probably the greatest ever,) I do feel that he goes over the top when it comes to cover songs. When songs are written for him or if he writes his own stuff then sure go nuts. But taking famous tracks (not necessarily this one) and moving the key up 1 billion times doesn’t always make it sound good as a song. I think people marvel at the vocal range too much and don’t objectively look at the cover songs as a whole.
To be fair, only some cover versions. There is no need to exaggerate.
There are dozens of songs, which Dimash actually sang much more soulfully, emotionally and at the same time strongly than the original performers: "Sinful Passion", "SOS", "Hello", "Mademoiselle Hyde", "Love Like a Dream", "Vocalise", "Daybreak", etc.
This particular version of the song "All by my self" is not my favorite, but that does not mean that Dimash adds vocal acrobatics in absolutely every performance. That's not true.

Dear Linor!😍💗 I'm glad you're back! Congratulations to your baby! I wish you much happiness and health! Actually, Dimash & his little sister (Raushan, means Rose) sang 2 songs at this event. The other was a simple but beautiful, emotional Kazakh love song (Dudarai), where Dimash didn’t shine beyond his sister ( as he usually he support his duet partners). For All By Myself, the audience expected Dimash to perform this very spectacular version of the way he sang it in the Singer competition.
Dimash’s parents are acclaimed singers, in addition his father is a music producer, the whole family is musical. The parents consider it important that all children receive music education, not only because of their literacy, but also because it contributes to their spiritual and personality development. Raushan has a beautiful voice and talent, but she became more interested in physics and mathematics, starting her studies at medical university last year. It's a pity , cuz she could be a wonderful singer! I love her warm & tender tembre. The principle of their parents is to support the children in everything they want to do, to achieve. (In an interview, their mother, Svetlana, was asked what the secret was that she had managed to raise Dimash so well, that he had become such a good person, and that he had achieved such outstanding success. She said it is really simple: never break a child’s dreams, just support in everything! (And she said that when Dimash said from the age of 2-3, he would be as famous as MJ and he would sing on the world stage - she couldn't believe it, she smiled to himself, saying Just dream, my child!)
Oh, and maybe you are interseted to see Dimash singing with his mom & dad together, to hear their voice too...

It seems to me that you have never reacted to Dimash's Kazakh songs. It is impossible to really get to know him without listening to these songs - that's where his culture and tradition are, next to his heart. In addition, he has matured greatly in the last year or two, his voice has even evolved and perfected. He completed his master's degree in composition last year (with honors) and began his doctoral studies in musicology. He is currently working on an album dedicated to Kazakh songs.
I highly recommend you listen to SAMALTAU from the Tokyo Jazz Festival - no less than a masterpiece! The festival aired online because of the COVID-19, Dimash performed in his studio at home, accompanied by 2 traditional instruments (+ other instruments on playback). The song has an interesting back story, I recommend you look for the translation before listening to the song.

I think Dimash gave his sister just a taste of the stage to see how she feels about it. We know she is so shy she probably said, don't leave me on my own too much. She is studying to be a doctor and that may be where her heart lies.

I don't think Dimash's sister will have had anything like as much training as Dimash because, I believe, in Kazhak tradition, the eldest son's education is taken over by the grandparents and Dimash's grandparents started Dimash's singing training from the age of five whereas, I don't think his sister will have had much training. However, I hope to hear more of her. Thank you for what you do, I always enjoy your reactions..........especially when you and Nani are sparking off one another!!
