Hi! It takes a lot of courage to do vocal cadenzas. I think many singers will fail doing that, not necessarily because they are not ABLE, but they already lost it in their minds by being scared they are going to fail and mess up. And then they do. But Dimash is superhuman, so he just pounces on it as if he is singing Happy Birthday to you (he nearly *yawns*). First time I listened to it, I was astounded when the music returned at the end of that Cadenza and he was still PERFECT on pitch having sung that high and having gone through those crazy runs. I would have thought the music would have returned in a moment of quiet at the end of a phrase but no, why would I underestimate Dimash like that? Music came in attaca subito right in the middle of a phrase and his pitching was still PERFECTLY aligned to the key signature. 😱 Crazy beautiful handsome charismatic alien dude! PS: Ugh, my English! 😐
He teased us in a passage about two-thirds into it. Our ears were expecting the top note, but he withheld it. Creates a strong desire for it that he finally provides, after making us wait.
This was always one of my favorite song & Dimash’s version is the best. This is the very first song I’ve listened to by Dimash & before it ended, I fell in love with him. It will be a year at the end of this month. Thank you!!
Listening to Dimash is like a Rollercoaster you think you know what to expect and in a way you get it but you never know where he will take a song. He has such a wide scale of different techniques to choose from and he is constantly experimenting with combining different styles which makes every new song a treat. More, he nearly never sings a song twice the same way.
Lauren, thank you for getting back to MY LOVE Dimash. For a treat PLEASE react to Dimash & Raushan All By Myself. She is Dimash's younger sister & she is Beautiful & of course a good singer. I know you reacted to the games version of Ogni Pietra but please react to either the fancam or official version from his Arnau concert. The fancam only shows him & the official version also shows the audience & everything on stage. There is also video of his whole Arnau concert. PLEASE keep reacting to him as often as possible. 🎶👱♀️😃💙
Lauren, I forgot to ask you to react to Dimash Lay Down on his channel from Moscow concert same kind as Give Me Your Love that you reacted to. Also has dancers from Russian Ballet. One more FANTASTIC song is a duet Dimash & Tengri Swan Goose from a Chinese Spring Festival from this year. PLEASE believe me that you will be surprised & happy to listen and watch the whole thing from start to finish. (HINT Tengri, musicians, outfits, instruments, specific song style are all from Mongolia)
You might be interested in an interview on Dimash's site. It's fairly thorough. He mentions Pavarotti still having a voice teacher even when he was 70 years old because you always need a second ear (or third I guess) to inform you. And plenty of other things.
Something very few people point out-Dimash never had better accompaniment than he got from these musicians and vocalists. They give Dimash’s voice a rich and expressively wide and dependable support, empowering his performance at every turn.
First of all, thanks for your reaction to Dimash. Dimash always has a suprise. But in this song you maybe could know that something could happen. Because Dimash most of the time is using the music style "popera." (That is of course a mix of pop and opera.) But some other music styles from him are: pop, opera, folk, world, rock and rap. Don't forget to watch Dimash doing this song with his little sister Raushan, she isn't a famous singer but she clearly has talent: ua-cam.com/video/cbLKgddafgI/v-deo.html
@@SingingwithLauren We should all thank you, you are doing all the hard work. So thanks for all the info. It is also fun the see you are having fun doing this and it looks like you are not talking to a camera but to the viewers. So beside being a good vocal coach you have more talents. And if i'm rong you are still a very talented actor. 😂 If you whant to know more information about Dimash or his songs just ask. (Like a good quality link or one with English subs.)
Hi Lauren, Love your Dimash reactions. You are informative and fun. You seem like such a cheerful, happy person, so watching your videos is a pleasure. Keep up the good work.
Loved your reaction, Lauren. Very informative! Good to hear from you again. I love that quick little smile Dimash does after that incredible acappella section! It's as if he was saying "That was really fun, did you like it?" Best cover ever of this song! ❤️😘😘 from a California, 🇺🇸 DimashDear4Life!
This young singer from Kazakhstan is a vocal magician. I've listened to this song - and others from Dimash - many times, but it's always fresh for me. In the 2017 'Singer' performances he is sometimes overly dramatic, falling to his knees, pounding his fists on the floor... a sign of youthful inexperience? He doesn't need any of that. When you listen to 'Love Is Like a Dream,' released in 2019, you will understand how his style is maturing. Yep, he's getting *better.* Which is crazy, since his 2017 'Singer' performances were so masterful and innovative. I'm going to partially agree with you about his climactic improvisational run in this song. Yes, that is an operatic tradition, and he draws from it. But there's more going on here. I think he's also drawing from Middle Asian cultural motifs in the way he crafted that run. You'll encounter more of that in 'Sinful Passion,' among other Dimash performances. Dimash is a one-man cultural melting pot. He brings it all into his performances - rock, pop, R&B, opera, and cultural influences from his native country, China, Russia, and probably more. The result is fascinating; from phrase to phrase, we never know what he'll hit us with until he does it. The result is always unique; he treats us to familiar songs sung in a new way, and original songs that are unlike anything we've ever heard. And it's all glorious.
Thanks for the reaction to Dimash, always a pleasure to witness your passion for music in general. Your positivity makes me smile whenever a video appears on Yt. Keep on Lauren. Sadly I don´t have the opportunity to join your singing lessons.
the perfect pitch thing is very epic when utilized appropriately, but great point about mind & body not always agreeing... it'd definitely be very aggravating (at best, i'd imagine!) to be just THAT much more aware when you were singing off-pitch than say, it would be for any 'ol normal human. just a hunch, but i bet if surveyed, those with proven perfect pitch are likely to be perfectionistic in many aspects, & overly critical of themselves always.
hey, you should react to so hyang's performances on a show called immortal songs 2. she has one of the widest ranges and best techniques I have ever heard of. I recommend lean on me, bridge over troubled water and arirang alone.
Unpopular Opinion here - His pronunciation sucks. I understand that English is not his native language but still. That spectacle in the end as well ruins it. I don't even feel like he's "all by himself" - as the song suggest. This performance is for spectacle and nothing more.
Was expecting a "reaction" and got a cold-detailed- analysis, instead. It was a very nice cover by Dimash, but it was interrupted so many times I lost interest. I'm not a singer, just a fan of Dimash. Sorry.

His english is so bad though. Sometimes he doesnt even trying to pronounce words right.
