First , PLEASE STAY AWAY THIS THE WORLD BEST SHOW, they treated Dimash and some contestants badly to get views, they chopped cut his performances a lot to make him sounds like not too far ahead of other contestants. Second, Welcome to Dimash’s world. I used to think he was one of the best vocalists on earth. But now I do think he is the Most COMPLETE vocalist in the world. He slays many genres of music: pop rock jazz , folk tranditional music, ballad, classical opera to rap. Slays all regiester and sing comfortably with super strong stage presence for a solo vocalist. Strong charisma , tall and handsome, vocal range a little over 7 octaves that Mariah Carey only can dream of, high music and vocal education with many degrees and highly skilled vocalist, nailed all western and eastern vocal technique, plays 7 instruments, sing songs in over 10 languages ! Name me a singer/ vocalist has these all factors like Dimash? 😍
@@erik1836 not that I neglected that! I know all / most things about him. Followed him since 2017. I just didn’t want to make a longer comment. Of course I know he composed , collaborated songs with the team to produce music and songs. He is also director in some of his videos. He can dance but still in progress for that! He plays sport such as swimming, soccer, riding horses as a hobby. Played taekwondo when he was much younger. He is also a voice teacher for his young students. He is just busy with his craft as the vocalist and performer now and full schedules for many shows !

He sings in 13 different languages and plays several different instruments. Most of all, he is kind and humble. As many have stated already, he is considered the greatest vocalist of all time. I’d say “singer,” however that is subjective…to each their own. He is my favorite singer and vocalist.
I agree with other comments. Shy away from any of the Worlds best singer" show. They tried to exploit Dimash for their ratings and he refused, deciding to walk away from it. He is a very dignified and humbled person. For other songs, SOS (2017,2018 and 2021 versions) are all excellent. This is the song that really exploded him onto the scene. From there it is a multitude of music. Just a few to show his variety, I would suggest Stranger, Ave Maria and Olympico. From there the world is your oyster to choose.

Hi, I live in the Seattle area and have been following Dimash for five years. If you don't meander a lot through youtube you could have missed Dimash but his youtube channel has around 150 songs and performances and every single one of them is well worth experiencing. This one just barely scratched the surface of his amazing---some say astounding and unbelievable--performances. He isn't just "one of a kind;" he's the ONLY one!
Dimash has been taking professional training since 5 when he entered the national music institute in Kazakhstan, at Astana, I think. He's about 23 in this viciously corrupt show, which scared him off from US music organizers for a few years. He has been training about 3 hours per day up to the current day. Probably not when he was 5, but a few years after that when it was safe to train that long. Classical training methods are all about not injuring the voice and that's how he started. He trained all through puberty, so he kept his upper range, which is spectacular. He also got University training in classical singing and music theory. He was offered a spot in the Astana opera as a tenor, but had a different vision to do a wider range of music, which has worked out very well. He has also done physical training to aid his singing, such as swimming and some kind of karate. So he has fantastic long notes, body posture and balance, all of which help in live performances and long shows. I recommend one of his "SOS d'un terrien en detresse" performances. The 2017 opening spot on the I Am Singer show in China : ua-cam.com/video/JEz1qGS0T1Q/v-deo.html It is the pivotal moment of his career, but his French has a few errors. The 2018 performance at the Slavic Bazaar is a little more polished and he received some French tutoring beforehand, but it is perhaps a little less emotionally raw : ua-cam.com/video/W29zEuZVaxs/v-deo.html . He also did one in 2021 at his digital streaming show : ua-cam.com/video/AUARjexCTlQ/v-deo.html . His interpretation and artistic skills have grown some, so it is a little different. After that, either Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast) at the Sochi New Wave Hall at the Contest of Young Pop Singers (pro spot) with the original band that wrote the jazz/pop romantic Russian classic song : ua-cam.com/video/kLxCjIHhV-g/v-deo.html . The Zominion channel did a wonderful job of removing a digital glitch from the official video from Dimash's site. The English subtitles are good. Or you could try Love Is Like A Dream (written the year he was born), a classic Russian romantic song, at the tribute concert for Alla Pugacheva, the first singer of this song. The pianist/composer/producer re-arranged it for him. It is in 2019 at Moscow : ua-cam.com/video/xLEQzfqO_l0/v-deo.html . The English subtitles are good. He sings in a lot of languages. He is very fluent in Kazakh and Russian, but now he speaks some Mandarin and his English is getting better. English is quite hard for someone from his area. Our vowels are easy, but we have some odd consonants. He learned a Mandarin folk song (Autumn Strong) phonetically in one week during the 2017 I Am Singer show. While also traveling. He made the Chinese audience cry. He is disturbingly over prepared and when he does have to improvise, he is quick. Dimash recently sang a gorgeous version of the same melody, but in the original Japanese lyrics "Ikanaide" for the Tokyo Jazz Festival.
This is a very popular song he covers actually, but it’s this particular “venue” or show. Anything at all where he was on “The World’s Best” which was a US show, is not going to be worth your time. They chopped every performance up horribly just so they could fit in a lot more commercials. Plus, they did him dirty. Horribly dirty. Wouldn’t wanna give that show the time or views on UA-cam. I can guarantee you that everybody that knows anything about it will tell you the same thing. From there, however, as far as recommendations go, the sky is the limit. Any performance of his you pick is pretty much guaranteed to be amazing and blow you away. Some people will tell you that you have need to stick to “the journey” and follow his performances from “The Singer” in China from a few years ago, but I think you should just do it however you want.
No recommendation for more performances of this show. Dimash was so annoyed when they let him compete against children that he quit the show. There is a clip of that event, and some of the jurors got really rude. The first recommendation that comes to mind is Dimash's signature tune SOS (d'un Terrien En Détresse), of which several versions exist, and all of them are auperb. Most of the time, it is followed by Sinful Passion, a vocal firework, and Stranger showcasing his incredible pitch range. To see how much he has matured as an artist at age 27, Ikanaide is a prime example.
You’re hooked, Beth … that is fine, it happened to all of us. You’ve just been “Dimashified”. You wanted to know more about Dimash, so … he is from Kazakhstan, he is the best vocalist on the planet (and beyond), he sings in 12 languages, plays 8 instruments, his vocal range covers 7 octaves and he is the most humble and modest guy I’ve ever seen. Many of his songs he writes himself. Back in 2017 he sang a “D8” (yes, you heard right - that is the note “D” from the 8th octave), which is off the piano keyboard and the highest note ever sung by a human … therefore most of his “dears” (this is how he calls his fans) suspect he is an alien. I can hardly wait to see your reaction to that one - it is “Unforgettable Day” and when you’ll get to it, it is very important you listen to the Gakku concert version (2017). I think you officially stepped among Dimash “dears” … if not, you’re very, very close and with no turning back - you’ll see. Also, for many of King Dimash performances, see that you have some tissues at hand - you’ll need them (“Daybreak”, “Autumn Strong” and many others as well). Salutations from Romania …
Dimash's parents are both professional singers in Kazakhstan. He was up on stage with them from toddlerhood taking bows! {too cute} His parents sent him for formal vocal and musical training from age 5 - so that's 22+ years already - and he trains daily. He sings in many languages and plays many instruments and has just completed his Post Grad studies in music & composition. Dimash can sing in any genre and likes to mix it up. I recommend you have a look at / start from his back catalogue, from around 2017, so you can compare and contrast his progression over the past 5 years. He was well known in Eastern Europe before his performances on the Chinese 'Singer' program in 2017, but following the airing of his first performance there, he was inundated with mega millions of instantly devoted fans - overnight. { A group of astronomer fans have even managed to get a newly discovered star named after him - somewhere in the Andromeda Galaxy I believe. True! } This fan base has now grown to include just about every country on earth. The USA has been slow to join the Dimash 'party' - primarily I believe due to a hesitation to / unfamiliarity with listening to Non-English singers, but this is now rapidly changing, as reactors such as yourself discover 'The best vocalist on the planet!' and are eager to share him. His fans are devoted not only because of the beauty of his voice, incredible skill level and passionate performance artistry - but also because he's a genuinely nice guy who doesn't have a shred of 'star ego'. You will be amazed at his breath control (23 second breath doing crazy belt and runs at the end of Sinful Passion) his breathy notes where air continues after the note ends, to a D8 whistle note and closing a song (Autumn Strong in red suit version) with the mike down by his side. There is so much to enjoy and learn about this vocal genius. He captures you from the beginning of a song until the end. He always surprises and is so kind and humble. He’s been training since the age of 5 in classical . By all means check out his bio . He is quite accomplished. I hope you will continue down the Dimash journey. He is music . In this show/competition he would have won, but deferred to let younger contestants had a chance. The judges weren't very happy, but he humbly explained that in his country, letting the children have a chance is very important; plus, he was told he would not be competing against children. You will find some of following on Wikapeidea: trained since age 5, Mom & dad both professional singers. Never ceases to work even during COVID when he couldn't tour, he produced an online concert and has made numerous music videos. Can sing in 12 language & has 6-7 octave range. Also has an offical youtube channel.
You have no idea how talented DIMASH is because he can make you feel like he's signing only to you, his vocal range is out of this world because he can sing as low as a B0 and as high as a D8 which if I'm not mistaken is outside the range of the piano
As other already said avoid "Worlds best" performances. I reccomend checking out Passione, SOS, Sinful passion, Ogni pietra etc you cant really go wrong with any from his official channel

Trouble happened on this show. Dimash was put in the final with two children to compete. Dimash said that he makes way for young talents because he brought up all the best for children in this way. The judge began to raise his voice at him and insulted him, calling him an egoist. He said you knew what agreed when they came here. But the audience and the host of the show, of course, supported Dimash.

I understand that you could not know in advance about the World's Best Show, but Dimash dears (fans), like me, prefer that their videos not be viewed. Dimash's performance was stellar, as usual, but the show treated him so disrespectfully, when Dimash later quit the show for cultural reasons of not competing against children. He was born with an extraordinary ear, into a musical family, with his mom a nationally renowned opera singer and his father a singer and producer, as well as grandparents who sang and played instruments. At just a few years old, he could identify any note on the piano by pitch. He began formal training in voice and piano at 5yr old. First , PLEASE STAY AWAY THIS THE WORLD BEST SHOW, they treated Dimash and some contestants badly to get views, they chopped cut his performances a lot to make him sounds like not too far ahead of other contestants.
Second, Welcome to Dimash’s world. I used to think he was one of the best vocalists on earth. But now I do think he is the Most COMPLETE vocalist in the world. He slays many genres of music: pop rock jazz , folk tranditional music, ballad, classical opera to rap. Slays all regiester and sing comfortably with super strong stage presence for a solo vocalist.
Strong charisma , tall and handsome, vocal range a little over 7 octaves that Mariah Carey only can dream of, high music and vocal education with many degrees and highly skilled vocalist, nailed all western and eastern vocal technique, plays 7 instruments, sing songs in over 10 languages !

@@erik1836 not that I neglected that! I know all / most things about him. Followed him since 2017. I just didn’t want to make a longer comment. Of course I know he composed , collaborated songs with the team to produce music and songs. He is also director in some of his videos. He can dance but still in progress for that! He plays sport such as swimming, soccer, riding horses as a hobby. Played taekwondo when he was much younger. He is also a voice teacher for his young students. He is just busy with his craft as the vocalist and performer now and full schedules for many shows !

As many have stated already, he is considered the greatest vocalist of all time. I’d say “singer,” however that is subjective…to each their own. He is my favorite singer and vocalist.
I agree with other comments. Shy away from any of the Worlds best singer" show. They tried to exploit Dimash for their ratings and he refused, deciding to walk away from it. He is a very dignified and humbled person. For other songs, SOS (2017,2018 and 2021 versions) are all excellent. This is the song that really exploded him onto the scene. From there it is a multitude of music. Just a few to show his variety, I would suggest Stranger, Ave Maria and Olympico. From there the world is your oyster to choose.

Hi, I live in the Seattle area and have been following Dimash for five years. If you don't meander a lot through youtube you could have missed Dimash but his youtube channel has around 150 songs and performances and every single one of them is well worth experiencing. This one just barely scratched the surface of his amazing---some say astounding and unbelievable--performances. He isn't just "one of a kind;" he's the ONLY one!
Dimash has been taking professional training since 5 when he entered the national music institute in Kazakhstan, at Astana, I think.
He's about 23 in this viciously corrupt show, which scared him off from US music organizers for a few years.
He has been training about 3 hours per day up to the current day. Probably not when he was 5, but a few years after that when it was safe to train that long. Classical training methods are all about not injuring the voice and that's how he started. He trained all through puberty, so he kept his upper range, which is spectacular. He also got University training in classical singing and music theory. He was offered a spot in the Astana opera as a tenor, but had a different vision to do a wider range of music, which has worked out very well.
He has also done physical training to aid his singing, such as swimming and some kind of karate. So he has fantastic long notes, body posture and balance, all of which help in live performances and long shows.
I recommend one of his "SOS d'un terrien en detresse" performances. The 2017 opening spot on the I Am Singer show in China :

After that, either Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast) at the Sochi New Wave Hall at the Contest of Young Pop Singers (pro spot) with the original band that wrote the jazz/pop romantic Russian classic song : ua-cam.com/video/kLxCjIHhV-g/v-deo.html . The Zominion channel did a wonderful job of removing a digital glitch from the official video from Dimash's site. The English subtitles are good.
Or you could try Love Is Like A Dream (written the year he was born), a classic Russian romantic song, at the tribute concert for Alla Pugacheva, the first singer of this song. The pianist/composer/producer re-arranged it for him. It is in 2019 at Moscow : ua-cam.com/video/xLEQzfqO_l0/v-deo.html . The English subtitles are good.
He sings in a lot of languages. He is very fluent in Kazakh and Russian, but now he speaks some Mandarin and his English is getting better. English is quite hard for someone from his area. Our vowels are easy, but we have some odd consonants.
He learned a Mandarin folk song (Autumn Strong) phonetically in one week during the 2017 I Am Singer show. While also traveling.
He made the Chinese audience cry. He is disturbingly over prepared and when he does have to improvise, he is quick.
Dimash recently sang a gorgeous version of the same melody, but in the original Japanese lyrics "Ikanaide" for the Tokyo Jazz Festival.
This is a very popular song he covers actually, but it’s this particular “venue” or show. Anything at all where he was on “The World’s Best” which was a US show, is not going to be worth your time. They chopped every performance up horribly just so they could fit in a lot more commercials. Plus, they did him dirty. Horribly dirty. Wouldn’t wanna give that show the time or views on UA-cam. I can guarantee you that everybody that knows anything about it will tell you the same thing. From there, however, as far as recommendations go, the sky is the limit. Any performance of his you pick is pretty much guaranteed to be amazing and blow you away. Some people will tell you that you have need to stick to “the journey” and follow his performances from “The Singer” in China from a few years ago, but I think you should just do it however you want.
No recommendation for more performances of this show. Dimash was so annoyed when they let him compete against children that he quit the show. There is a clip of that event, and some of the jurors got really rude.
The first recommendation that comes to mind is Dimash's signature tune SOS (d'un Terrien En Détresse), of which several versions exist, and all of them are auperb.
Most of the time, it is followed by Sinful Passion, a vocal firework, and Stranger showcasing his incredible pitch range. To see how much he has matured as an artist at age 27, Ikanaide is a prime example.
You’re hooked, Beth … that is fine, it happened to all of us. You’ve just been “Dimashified”. You wanted to know more about Dimash, so … he is from Kazakhstan, he is the best vocalist on the planet (and beyond), he sings in 12 languages, plays 8 instruments, his vocal range covers 7 octaves and he is the most humble and modest guy I’ve ever seen. Many of his songs he writes himself. Back in 2017 he sang a “D8” (yes, you heard right - that is the note “D” from the 8th octave), which is off the piano keyboard and the highest note ever sung by a human … therefore most of his “dears” (this is how he calls his fans) suspect he is an alien. I can hardly wait to see your reaction to that one - it is “Unforgettable Day” and when you’ll get to it, it is very important you listen to the Gakku concert version (2017). I think you officially stepped among Dimash “dears” … if not, you’re very, very close and with no turning back - you’ll see. Also, for many of King Dimash performances, see that you have some tissues at hand - you’ll need them (“Daybreak”, “Autumn Strong” and many others as well).

Dimash's parents are both professional singers in Kazakhstan. He was up on stage with them from toddlerhood taking bows! {too cute} His parents sent him for formal vocal and musical training from age 5 - so that's 22+ years already - and he trains daily. He sings in many languages and plays many instruments and has just completed his Post Grad studies in music & composition. Dimash can sing in any genre and likes to mix it up.
I recommend you have a look at / start from his back catalogue, from around 2017, so you can compare and contrast his progression over the past 5 years.
He was well known in Eastern Europe before his performances on the Chinese 'Singer' program in 2017, but following the airing of his first performance there, he was inundated with mega millions of instantly devoted fans - overnight. { A group of astronomer fans have even managed to get a newly discovered star named after him - somewhere in the Andromeda Galaxy I believe. True! }
This fan base has now grown to include just about every country on earth. The USA has been slow to join the Dimash 'party' - primarily I believe due to a hesitation to / unfamiliarity with listening to Non-English singers, but this is now rapidly changing, as reactors such as yourself discover 'The best vocalist on the planet!' and are eager to share him.

I think you would REALLY like his singing "Love is like dream"
His parents were in opera. He's from Kazakhstan & began singing really early. He was accepted into a music school at age 5 & now has both his bachelor's & masters, working on his Ph.D in music. He's 27, soon to be 28 & 6'3."
His range is just over 7 octaves. He sings in 13 languages & speaks 4. He plays 7 instruments & simply lives & breathes music. His Dad is his producer. More important than all of that is HOW he sings, how he delivers his performances so intensely, so emotionally. He sings with his whole being, both body & soul, & it comes across so often to us as tears & goosebumps.
He is, many of us agree, the best singer in the world. Enjoy your Dimash journey. I recommend both versions of Stranger, BTW - a very special song. He always changes things up, so feel free to watch all of his videos, even what seem to be repeats - they are not.

Dimash Kudaibergen is considered the best singer in the world and is known for his wide vocal range of 7.7 octaves. y It encompasses all vocal ranges. they have to design a piano for it because it encompasses and surpasses all existing notes. welcome to the world Dimash there is a world to know about him. In this show/competition he would have won, but deferred to let younger contestants had a chance. The judges weren't very happy, but he humbly explained that in his country, letting the children have a chance is very important; plus, he was told he would not be competing against children. You will find some of following on Wikapeidea: trained since age 5, Mom & dad both professional singers. Never ceases to work even during COVID when he couldn't tour, he produced an online concert and has made numerous music videos. Can sing in 12 language & has 6-7 octave range. Also has an offical youtube channel.
You have no idea how talented DIMASH is because he can make you feel like he's signing only to you, his vocal range is out of this world because he can sing as low as a B0 and as high as a D8 which if I'm not mistaken is outside the range of the piano

Trouble happened on this show. Dimash was put in the final with two children to compete. Dimash said that he makes way for young talents because he brought up all the best for children in this way. The judge began to raise his voice at him and insulted him, calling him an egoist. He said you knew what agreed when they came here. But the audience and the host of the show, of course, supported Dimash.

I understand that you could not know in advance about the World's Best Show, but Dimash dears (fans), like me, prefer that their videos not be viewed. Dimash's performance was stellar, as usual, but the show treated him so disrespectfully, when Dimash later quit the show for cultural reasons of not competing against children. Also, FYI, Celine's version is a cover of Eric Carmen's 1975 song.

Dimash is a combination of both. He was born with an extraordinary ear, into a musical family, with his mom a nationally renowned opera singer and his father a singer and producer, as well as grandparents who sang and played instruments. At just a few years old, he could identify any note on the piano by pitch. He began formal training in voice and piano at 5yr old. He is university educated with separate degrees in Classical(major in Bel Canto)(2014, age 20) an Contemporary music(jazz/pop - 2018, age 24). He gained his masters degree in composition (2020, age 26) all the while developing his vocal abilities and skill at instruments, including piano, keyboard, drums, guitar, dombra, marimba. He is currently working toward his doctorate. Throughout his life he has performed publicly, winning the Slavic Bazaar in central Asia in 2015, and he became the youngest and first foreigner to participate in China's "Singer" competition, as a wildcard entry in 2017. He is so popular in China, that his first album, in 2019, went platinum in 37 seconds and triple platinum within 1 hour.
