I am assembling an FMS Cessna 182 and wanted to removed the huge decals from the wings and found your tutorial. Awesome! It worked great! Thank you for sharing this. 👍
I have found this to late and my wings got a bit messed up so i used white decals to patch the parts where the foam got damaged :D ua-cam.com/video/BWhzHOAQzos/v-deo.html
Sir, you have made possible for me a de-dorking of my Delta Ray. After pulling the stickers, a pair of brushless motors, and a couple coats of The Fonz, I can take her out in public. Thanks man!
I have tried and still use this technique to remove decals from painted foam, although it will help from peeling the paint, it will still remove some of the paint. sometimes a lot depending on the model and the type of paint used. My suggestion would be to use this technique to limit any damage and repaint the model. Good Luck, Wisconsin John
GREAT JOB WISJOHN...MY SUGGESTION IS USE A FLEXIBLE ICE PACK AND HOLD IT ON FOR A WHILE AND THEN START TO REMOVE THE STICKER. LET ME KNOW HOW IT GOES...John from Badgerland...!!!
You're pulling the decals off in one piece. It looks like you were saving them on the sheet on the table. I didn't hear a comment if these were reusable or not.
Most of the time, but not always, they are reusable, but in this case I did not. The point of this video is to show how to take off decals without damaging the foam. Thanks. Wisconsin John
Thank you for showing this simple method! I recently bought a Habu SS, and I plan to put my own decals on it. Great video!

Will this damage painted foam surfaces?
What does the ice do? I thought someone on youtube said to use hot steam.
