It didn’t come to an end . They gave their fans the middle finger and then they said I’m sorry . What remains to be seen is if they make changes fans want to see and more then that it remains to be seen if their channel will survive this absolutely ridiculous decision they made . Why they didn’t offer the pay service then a month later free content from the get go is beyond me
That's not true, they didn't flip anyone off lol. When you have to lie to prove your point, your point is wrong.
Many "fans" (most of them are actually non-viewers, non-subs) that are vocally attacking Watcher are only doing it because they are upset that Watcher wants better monetization. They poorly implemented their transition from a free YewTewbz channel to a production company. They have give 1000's (thousands) of hours of free content.
There is not a damn thing wrong with paid-for content. You've never subbed to netflix? Never rented a movie? Never gone to the theater? You are hypercritical of Watcher and treating them more harsh than deserved.
People like "Oompaville" are millionaires who run drama channels and purposely spread their opinion as fact. These other channels are 110% playing into the drama in order to get their own views. People are upset that Watcher will no longer be free. Watcher is *not* yours or mine to take and claim. The folks complaining (when refunds are available) are ignorant as hell. The channel has outgrown it's platform. You and I are not "owed" more free content. The entitlement is absolutely atrocious and cringe.
I do agree that them not doing this from the beginning is a bit weird but the thing is that they actually listened to the fans and gave a genuine apology. There's not much they could have done other than just admitting fault and changing it so that it's not a complete scam and the way they changed it makes a lot of sense it's a great way to earn more money for their employees and also give the fans something like early access to the videos (basically just like how most people do things on patreon). But what I disagree with is them giving the middle finger not every apology is a bad apology and this one just wasn't a bad one.
@bigbadsauce92 okay dude you're genuinely going way too far with this. They've been making content on youtube for over 4 years now it's extremely entitled of them as creators who already make millions off of their work to put their content behind a pay wall and expect everyone to afford it. It's not entitled for people who can't afford streaming sights or just in general paid for content to be upset with this since youtube is completely free and since they were basically having their free content stripped away from them.. watcher is a group of very well off and possibly even rich people it's extremely sad that you think what they did was remotely okay..

It really isn't I spent most of the video saying they did a good job apologizing. Tell me you didn't watch the video without telling me. Plus I wouldn't really call this journalism it's just me doing simple math and voicing my opinion...
