    Man it’s so refreshing watching someone not like something and instead of writing it off, you learned the way it’s meant to be used. Older farmers would never 😅
    Also, I don’t know if your hands are big enough c but 6 and 7 are index and ring finger buttons, you’re meant to grasp the controller entirely with your hand. Thumb should only be on top for forward/reverse & top buttons.
    There’s also an absolutely awesome farm show around Hamilton, every year, all the big manufacturers and others of all kinds of fields come out and demonstrate their equipment, sell, and overall have a great time. I bet it would be right up your alley.
    It’s in Sept each year. Enjoy the time off while you can. Cheers

    Forgot to mention your brake pedal applies the auto clutch. Now if you could get the PTO over to that controler you would be golden!

      Dude I know right! I wanted to call John Deere and ask them is it’s possible! Having the PTO on that joystick would be awesome. Then it would be an All- In 1 .

    The tractor isn’t as well laid out as R because the M series is a series down from the R kinda like lariat vs xlt truck

      I didn’t realize that. I went on John Deere’s website after reading your comment and you are absolutely correct! Thanks for the information! I guess I’ll need to request and R 6110 next lol
      And thanks for watching the video.

    Another great video! I asked a couple questions in your last video but I'm not sure if you saw my post.... "I have some questions as I am considering using a similar setup for next season... Why Ag tires? I timed some of the driveways you did and they were around 2-3 minutes. That's about the same time it takes me to do them with a pickup and a Western plow. Is the blower only used due to a lack of places to pile the snow with a plow? How do the blowers handle deep snow (25+ cm)?"

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt  Рік тому +4

      Great questions! I apologize for not answering in the last video, I didn’t see it. So the Ag tires are used for agricultural purposes. And that’s how Capital Services orders the tractors because they rent out the machines in the summer to farmers when we aren’t being used for snow blowing. So the answer is technically this, the tractors get used for 2 purposes. Ag & Snow therefore those tires work great for both applications. Is there a better tire for snow? Absolutely, but would it be equally as good for Ag? I doubt.
      Question 2: So in the video I’m trying to take my time because I’m trying to talk and pay attention to the camera and operate at the same time, plus learn a new tractor. I’ll try and show you in another video but we typically do driveways in 45 second to 60 second no joke. It’s very very fast. These blowers can handle 25+cm of snow no problem at all! And yes, using a blower gives you extra control of the exact location you’d like to relocate the snow.
      Hopefully this answers your question.
      Thanks for watching 🙏🏼. Happy New Year.

      Between 125-175 on average. Some of our really experienced operators can handle 250+
      We run average route times in 4 hours and under.

    Can you explain to the viewers how do you guys justify using a $185,000.00$ tractor 🚜. (150k US$ ) How many times do you go out ? How much is your average seasonal contract? Number of accounts/ tractor? Labor cost? Route density? Insurance and licensing? tax right off , resale value and actual cost of operation? Educate us on the bussiness model that justified a big investment. Is it actually worth all that $$$

      All valid questions, please feel free to reach out the Capital Services team. My content is from the perspective of an operator, I do not own Capital Services. Capital Asphalt & Interlock is my family company business in which I am a partner in. I’m using my platform to share their content with my viewers. I’d also add that what your asking, although a great question it’s very personal information, that’s like asking someone how much money they make or how they made their money. However that’s just my opinion, like I said I’m not the owner of Capital Services and don’t want to speak out of turn about their strategy or business model”
      Thanks for watching the video

    Why do you leave blower on for the rest of the night after the first driveway! Should be on only on when you're blowing snow. Why kill the equipment?

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt  Рік тому +1

      Running the PTO doesn’t kill the equipment. An argument can be made that turning the button on and off especially in “ our” case 1000’s of times per shift. Not 10’s or 100’s but 1000’s of times is harder on the machine. We actually tend to have electrical problems with the buttons on our machines with operators who frequently use them.
      It’s the same as turning on and off a vehicle if your using it all day. It’s easier on the vehicle if you just leave it on if your frequently using it. Rather then engage your starter dozens of times in a single day. Or in this case many more times.
      Plus, the sheer pin on the PTO shaft is recommended to leave in motion, rather then frequent “ on & off” motion. It puts less stress on the sheer pin it self. Meaning they last much longer.

      @Colin Nickerson Bet you wouldn't have that stance if a machine this size smashed into your family because the operator was too busy on the phone. Just saying business happens is no excuse. Pull over or use one of the many hands free options that are out there.
      Un-tie the knickers from your tiny nads.
